Pictures of Willy - S4-E21

Corrected entry: When Jimmy and Brad are talking to Emma (the deaf girl) near the end of the episode, Brad translates Emma's sign language for Jimmy, but when Jimmy talks, Brad makes no hand signs for Emma. Therefore, she shouldn't be able to understand what Jimmy is saying, yet she replies. She can't be lip-reading, or else she would have understood what Lily or Henry was saying upstairs in Jimmy's room (you could see from her reactions that she didn't understand either of them).

Correction: Jimmy was speaking slowly and saying it so she could easily read his lips, Lily and Henry were talking to fast for her.

Oops!...I Did It Again - S2-E22

Continuity mistake: This episode establishes that Lily was born at the Live Aid event, which took place in July 1985. In the show's final episode, "Hello, Goodbye", Brad and Lily are graduating in 2005 (see the "congratulations" banner in a hallway at their school). Being born in 1985 would mean that she is graduating at age 20. It is highly unlikely that she failed and repeated two of her school years. Brad, who is the same age, is graduating with her, and he is a dedicated student.

Take It to the Limit - S2-E13

Question: I don't understand Lily's nervousness about impressing Dean in this episode - almost as if they have never been on a date. She already referred to him as her "boyfriend" in "Smoke on the Daughter", and they arranged a date in that episode. And he has been in her bedroom and brought her a Christmas present ("I Saw Daddy Hitting Santa Claus"). Why does this episode suddenly make it seem like they have never been on a date?

Answer: "Take It to the Limit", while aired as the 13th episode, was the 7th episode produced for the 2nd season (production code 207). "Smoke on the Daughter" was the 8th episode (208) and "I Saw Daddy Hitting Santa Clause" was the 10th episode (210) produced. Often shows air episodes out of production order for various reasons. If they had aired 210 in order, it would have aired on Jan 23rd instead of Dec 19th, hardly a good time to air a Christmas themed episode.
