Continuity mistake: In "Rich Kid" Lorenzo is introduced as a new student, but he was in a previous episode titled "Arnold's Room."
Suggested correction: Other than the few episodes where a specific time of year is taking place; these episodes are not meant to be taken to be shown in chronological order. Just roughly in the same 4th grade school year.
Best Man / Cool Party - S3-E12
Other mistake: In the scene where Arnold meets the gang in the alley way, they give ideas to crash Rhonda's party. When Curly tells his idea to go to the zoo and free all the animals and there are shots of the gang looking at him confused,in two of the scenes, you'll notice that when Stinky and someone else looks at him, the background is at the school, not the alley.

Plot hole: Mr. Simmons asked that each student put their name on the test folders, but the folders already had names on them when he handed them out.
Arnold's Thanksgiving - S3-E14
Continuity mistake: When Joey is shown in close-up, his missing tooth looks like it's there but it's covered with something black and his missing tooth keeps reappearing and disappearing in the last scenes.
Suggested correction: Joey never appears in this episode.
The Aptitude Test / Oskar Gets a Job - S3-E9
Continuity mistake: In "Oscar Gets a Job", Oscar goes around asking people for money. When he talks to Ernie, you can see that there is a phone and a light to the right of the door. When Arnold confronts Oscar in the hall, you can see Ernie's room (7). The phone has disappeared.
Arnold & Lila / Grand Prix - S3-E13
Continuity mistake: When Arnold, Sid, Eugene, and Stinky are arguing about the name of the go cart the name is already painted on. (00:17:20)

Continuity mistake: There are more than 16 slips in the hat, but only 16 students in class, and only 12 hands went in to pull out slips.

Continuity mistake: Gerald's doctor's name is spelled "Murray Stieglitz" on the sign, but "Steiglitz" in the credits.

Revealing mistake: The test paper Eugene put back in Harold's folder is blank.
Suggested correction: The paper is not blank. Helga used a purple pen to fill in her paper, and Eugene put it in Harold's folder. It might be hard to see at first, but the paper is filled with purple ink.
The Aptitude Test / Oskar Gets a Job - S3-E9
Plot hole: When Eugene dropped the tests, just about all of them fell out of their folders, but apparently only Harold and Helga's were switched.
Suggested correction: We don't know that definitively. Those were just the only two caught as the teacher noticed their tests were very off from who they were as students. He didn't appear to check any of the others for mix ups.
Arnold's Room / Helga vs. Big Patty - S3-E4
Continuity mistake: In the locker room, Sid's hair goes from stringy to full and back to stringy.
