Super Grover

Answer: A man named Paul Sobriki comes into the ER in the season 6 episode 13 " All in the Family." He is complaining of headaches, Carter and Lucy decide to rule out meningitis and do a lumber puncture. Paul struggles during the procedure and believes that both doctors are stabbing him. Lucy, who is interested in Psych thinks something is wrong with their patient mentally, but Carter is dismissive of her. She gets cross with his attitude and she calls the psych department anyway to have a look at him. Later on and near the closing 20 minutes or so of the episode, all the staff start playing loud music and get a cake which appears to be blue lol, together to party as it's Valentines Day, Carter returns from somewhere and asks where Lucy is. He goes to check one of the rooms for her and Paul Sobriki comes up behind him in the dark and stabs him twice in the lower back, he collapses and as he falls unconscious he sees Lucy on the ground also. In the next episode, Be Still My Heart (ep 14), Dr Weaver discovers them and all of the staff work to try and save them, whilst Carter survives. Lucy's wounds are fatal and suffers a pulmonary embolism as Corday and Romano try to save her. Carter is grief stricken and feels guilty about the way he treated her, he becomes addicted to painkillers and Benton, Greene all help him and book him into rehab.

Answer: Lucy and Carter were stabbed by a patient she had suspected of having mental problems. Lucy died and Carter survived only to become addicted to painkillers.

Question: In what episode was Ella born? I remember Cordway being pregnant and then I remember them talking about sleepless nights because of the baby but I Don't remember seeing anything about labor.

Answer: It's season 7's "Sailing Away", but we don't actually see Corday in the delivery room. We see Mark blasting the song "Sailing Away" so he doesn't hear Corday calling to him about her contractions, but after their hospital visit it turned out to only be Braxton Hicks. Later in the episode they show up at the hospital again when Corday is "ready to pop", and next we see Mark carrying Ella (after her 'newborn screening') bringing her to Corday, who then nurses Ella for the first time.

Super Grover

Answer: I believe Alex Kingston was actually pregnant during this storyline too, perhaps didn't want to act and give birth all in a short space?

Only Connect - S11-E11

Question: Sam and Luka are arguing after Luka allowed Neela to practice when the patient was dead. When they were arguing I swear I hear him calling her Abby. I have re watched it a few times and the issue was never addressed so I'm not sure what to think other than me not hearing correctly. Anyone have any ideas?

Robin

Answer: I watched the scene and never heard Luka say "Abby." After Neela and Jane leave, Sam says "what?", but never a name. Later, when Sam's mad about doing chest compression for 30 mins, Luka says "what are you really mad about"?" Perhaps with his accent it came across as "mad Abby"?

Alone in a Crowd - S11-E15

Question: NBC's website lists that Ming-Na stars in this episode. However I never saw her in the episode and she's no longer included in the opening credits, hasn't been for several episodes. Can anyone point out to me where in the episode she appeared?

Answer: She is no longer on the show - her last episode was "Twas the Night". They must have not yet taken her out of the opening credits.

Bowling255

Answer: Ming-Na made the decision to drop her last name, Wen, at the time she married actor/screenwriter Eric Michael Zee in 1995; apparently out of a desire to be like one-named headliners such as Cher and Ann-Margret.

Question: What happened to Carol's clinic? It stopped running just after she left, but she wasn't actually running it at that point?

Answer: Carol stopped being involved with the clinic in Season 5 - The Storm (2) so that it wouldn't be shut down because of her "borrowing" some equipment. Her last episode was Season 6 - Such Sweet Sorrow, that's 22 episodes later which would be a long time for a sub-plot to last with none of the major characters having any involvement in it.

Myridon

Answer: "I'm taking you home" by Don Henley.

Question: What do the terms Attending and Resident mean? They mention them on the show e.g.'ER attending'.

Answer: A resident is a person in the second year of their internship. Kind of low on the totem pole. An attending is someone who has gone through med school and their internship and has the right to practice medicine in that facility. In charge of the residents and med students. Question: How old is Ella (Mark and Elizabeth's daughter) supposed to be? she looks about 5/6 but as she was only a baby when Mark died in series 8 we are now on the 10th series... Elizabeth also said that it was still to soon after Mark, even she wouldn't think 5 years is to long to wait?

Answer: The writers of ER "aged" Ella. She is only suppose to be 2 or 3 but they have made her older, 5 or 6. They often do this on soaps too. They probably just didn't want to have to deal with a baby anymore.

Question: What was the name of the episode (I think it was in season 9) where Abby, Susan, Carter, Kovac, and Gallant open a bag that a hooker brought in and start playing around with the toys inside? They got sent to a seminar on sexual harrassment, but the lecturer never showed up, so they spent the whole day sitting around and talking.

Answer: It was in season 8, it was called Secrets and Lies. It first aired on 3/07/02.

Bowling255

Answer: She was referring to his "15 minutes of fame." This refers to a quote by Andy Warhol who said in the future, everyone would be famous for 15 minutes.

Be Still My Heart - S6-E13

Visible crew/equipment: When the son of the accident victims is being led through the trauma rooms to see his parents' bodies, you can see Laura Innes crouching under a table in the background directing the scene. Innes was the director of this episode and it was established that this episode took place on her character's day off. Therefore, she should not have appeared in front of the camera at all. Trivia: Doug Ross frequently hung his head low, appearing ashamed or thoughtful or privately amused, depending on the scene. This wasn't just an element of the character: George Clooney had taken to writing his lines on papers, sheets, and other props.
