Plot hole: Live 50th anniversary episode, aired December 9th 2010 - When Sally is allowed into the rubble to comfort Molly as the firemen attempt to free her, one of them says they'll get Sally a hard hat. But when we see her talking to Molly in the rubble, she has no hard hat on and instead one of the firemen is holding his hand above her head.THGhost
Continuity mistake: In the episode where Katy, Carl and Todd go to see Badly Drawn Boy in concert, they go to the Rovers after the concert has finished. It's last orders so it must be 11pm. However, in the next scene in Martin's flat (when he is wondering where Katy has got to) the clock on his wall says 8 o'clock.
Continuity mistake: The night before Steve and Karen's wedding after Steve decides to let his mum invite Ken and Deidre, she walks out the front door, straight past the Barlows. Then, after they finish their dialogue about Tracy, she comes out of the toilet. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
Continuity mistake: When Sarah Louise Platt was born it was January 28th, but in 2003, her birthday was celebrated (and was supposed to be) on Sunday 3rd February, the fourth show after her original birth date. Having Sarah's birthday six days after her 'original' birthday can't be compensated for even if the day she was born was wrong [because of broadcast date], as there are always at least 2 episodes every six days.Dan Moat
Continuity mistake: Episodes 6354 and 6355. When Sally Webster is frantically searching for her daughter Rosie, who is staying at the squat with Craig, between shots Sally's hair changes several times, but more obvious is that in some shots she has a very croaky throat, and in other shots she has no throat problem at all. These scenes were all supposed to be almost in real-time, and certainly in the course of one night.
Continuity mistake: During the second episode shown on April 12th, with Todd and company in the gay bar with Karl, we see Sarah and Katie talking with Todd and Karl in the background talking intensely. In the next shot they are really relaxed, and not even speaking or looking at each other.
Continuity mistake: In the episode, 22/11/2004, (where Dev's corner shops are blown up by Maya) Dev drives his Saab to the shop which is about to be blown up, he parks his Saab directly outside the shop. Also parked directly outside the shop is another car. As the shop blows up, the camera changes angle to show the blast and Dev's car has somehow disappeared, just leaving the other car in shot.
Revealing mistake: In the 5th November episode when Sophie takes Audrey's fur hat off Beth and throws it in the fire, there are flames licking the hat, yet the hat itself doesn't catch fire, because when Keith retrieves it, it is unburnt. So the hat must either be made of asbestos or the flames are computer generated, not real.
Continuity mistake: In episode 7985 in the last few minutes. Audrey and Lewis are talking in Gail's house, Lewis goes out for a few minutes and when he comes back in, there is not a drop of water on him. Gail later comes back in, she is also completely dry. Lewis then leaves the house and Audrey follows. When she leaves, it is raining hard.DRAPER35
Factual error: On the 28th Jan episode, Gary is interviewed by his comanding officer having not shaved. The cap badge he is wearing is of the Royal Army Ordinance corps which were amalgamated in 1993 into the Royal Logistics corps (different cap badge) and the belts worn by the two soldiers behind him are from neither regiment. Also neither the RAOC or The RLC are infantry regiments. Gary is supposed to be in the infantry but he finished his training in Pirbright not Catterick where all the other infantry soldiers are trained.
Continuity mistake: When Mary Taylor begins trying to track down her son Jude with the help of Norris and Erica, she says that he would be 32 years old. Mary was born in 1974, making her 42. Which would mean she gave birth to Jude at the age of 10. But she has previously said that she became pregnant with Jude because she was raped at 14.THGhost
