Toys in Babeland - S4-E2

Plot hole: Darrin tells Samantha that Larry thinks the Stephenses are having a costume party. While Larry earlier had said that to himself when he looked through the Stephens' living room window, he never said it to Darrin. (00:20:45)

Toys in Babeland - S4-E2

Continuity mistake: In Tabitha's room in an early scene, Tabitha for some reason is in her play pen in her bedroom rather than her crib as usual. Later, the crib is back when Darrin is securing her toys in the locked toy chest.

Birdies, Bogies, and Baxter - S4-E7

Other mistake: In the scene at the end where Baxter is saying "You learn something about how you take defeat, I never thought I would be learning something about myself" the background behind Baxter doesn't match the background when the shot is a wide shot showing the out door course, trees and buildings. Instead it looks like a painted backdrop perhaps filmed separately for the closeup. It's definitely not where Baxter is standing in wide shot.

The Safe and Sane Halloween - S4-E8

Revealing mistake: In this episode when the Gremlin, Goblin, Jack-o-Lantern, and Sam are peeking in through the back window, the gremlin turns to look at Sam when she is speaking and his ear passes through the area where there is supposed to be glass.

Samantha's Thanksgiving to Remember - S4-E12

Factual error: I noticed a grandfather clock when they all arrived in Plymouth (in the right corner). I won't assume this is the first Thanksgiving since the colony is built up and seems established. Plymouth was from 1620-1690s. I had to research but apparently there would not have been an ornate grandfather clock available. The first clocks were built around the time but were not common - especially in an American colony like Plymouth struggling to survive.

Humbug Not to Be Spoken Here - S4-E16

Other mistake: In the previous episode, I've Got Your Nanny Right Here, Samantha tells Darrin "nobody travels by broom stick anymore. It's obsolete." She takes Mr. Mortimore to North Pole by broomstick.

Samantha: Try to control your temper. Remember, "Peace on earth, goodwill to men" includes witches.

Samantha Fights City Hall - S5-E9

Trivia: Because Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha, was ill, her fraternal twin sister Diane took her place in this episode. By this time, Erin and Diane didn't resemble each other as much as they once did, and it was obvious to regular viewers of the show that it wasn't the Tabitha they were used to seeing. The producers received several letters asking "Who was that?"

Show generally

Question: In one episode (not sure which one but it was in the Dick York era), Darrin was arguing with Samantha and said something like "Confiding in a woman is like broadcasting by Telstar." What exactly does that mean and what was Telstar?

Answer: Telstar was an early communications satellite system. Darrin, in a particularly sexist manner reflective of this era, is saying that telling a secret to a woman means it is guaranteed to be "broadcasted" to multiple people.

Answer: The Telstar Reference was in Dangerous Diaper Dan when Samantha engages in too much gossip.
