The Days and Nights of Sophia Petrillo - S4-E2
Continuity mistake: Dorothy mentions that her Grandma, the mother of Sophia, died at 94 when Dorothy was 6. However, in the season 3 finale, there was an entire scene showing Sophia's mother visiting Sophia and Salvadore on Mother's Day, accompanied by young but certainly adult Dorothy.
Other mistake: In the 1954 flashback scene, it is Dorothy's 10-year anniversary, so she got married in 1944. In another episode, Dorothy said Stan impregnated her in the back seat of a car by saying he's going to the Korean War, which began in 1950. Also, viewers know that Dorothy went to college. A pregnant newlywed in 1944 with a husband off to war would not have gone to college but stayed home awaiting the birth of her child. And in 1945, after the war, she would have been a housewife, not a college student.
Suggested correction: First off, I don't remember the show every showing or saying Stan did serve in the military. Dorothy said the only reason she went out with him was because he claimed he was being shipped off to Korea and would probably die. Stan was shown not to be faithful and probably not very trustworthy. But there's no reason an intelligent woman with a child could go to college even if her husband was in the military.
Whose Face is This, Anyway? - S2-E20
Other mistake: In Season 2 Episode 8: Vacation, Dorothy let it slip that Rose had a nose job and never mentioned her own plastic surgery. However, here Rose says that she hates plastic surgery and Dorothy admits that she got her eyes done. (00:14:35 - 00:15:04)
Other mistake: When Rose relates the story of her birth, she says that Ingrid died in childbirth, and her baby was left at the orphanage in a basket. Brother Martin didn't know of the child's existence until after she was adopted. So who put the baby in a basket, and why? If a woman died in childbirth at the hospital, with the baby's father unknown, the orphanage would have taken custody directly. Babies are abandoned in baskets by living parents.
Guess Who's Coming to the Wedding? - S1-E2
Visible crew/equipment: When Dorothy and Stanley are talking outside, the camera rolls into frame on the left-hand side. (00:22:48)
Other mistake: Dorothy gets pregnant in high school with Michael. Dorothy plays a woman in her 50s. He was in his Early 20s when the show started. She wouldn't have been in high school age 30.
Job Hunting - S1-E22
Continuity mistake: In season 1 episode 12, the wallpaper and wall decorations are changed in the kitchen but in this episode they revert back to the original.
Suggested correction: That's because the episodes were aired out order than when they were produced. This episode was the second episode produced (production code "002") whereas episode 12 was the 14th episode produced.
Continuity mistake: In this episode, Blanche goes out with Stan, which results in the two of them becoming good friends who see each other often and hang out together. The only reason they end their friendship is because Dorothy got jealous, not for personal differences between them. Although Dorothy assumed the two have an affair, it turns out they were really just platonic friends who liked going out together. Still, in every episode afterwards, Blanche dislikes Stan again and treats him like an annoying person just like before, even though in the meantime she figured out how much fun he can be as a friend.
Continuity mistake: Whether Gladys Goldfine is alive or dead changes from episode to episode. For example in one episode, Sophia is mad at her because she doesn't take her out to a Tony Bennett concert and we see her apologizing to Sophia in the end, but in an earlier episode Salvatore's spirit told Sophia that Gladys has an affair with Charlemagne in heaven.
Other mistake: Rose says that she was "eventually" adopted by the Lindstroms. Rose has previously stated that she lived at the orphanage for eight years. While "eight years" could qualify as "eventually," Rose also says that the Lindstroms took the beef sticks that were left in the basket with her, and that the basket contained cheese and crackers, as well. None of those items have a shelf life of eight years.
The Engagement (a.k.a) Pilot - S1-E1
Other mistake: When Dorothy and Rose go back to Blanche's bedroom to ask her about her engagement to her BF Harry, they use the entrance that is normally used for the lanai. Possible set change.
Other mistake: Notice when Dorothy gets up to talk to the doctor. She's barefoot.
Revealing mistake: Blanche, Dorothy and Rose that went on the boat with the 3 guys were stranded on what appears to be a beach. However, the "beach sand" has a lot of bouncyness to it. Giving the look of foam padding of some sort with some fabric that looks like sand. The sand doesn't actually move either while they're walking on it. (00:16:11 - 00:18:40)
Plot hole: It shouldn't matter if the neighborhood's got a petition. If the tree in question is on Mrs. Claxton's property then they wouldn't have a say in the city removing it.
Other mistake: There's a lot of talk about Pepe hurting his hands during his last boxing match. Unless there's something I'm missing, boxing gloves should provide adequate protection.
Other mistake: Rose tells a story about her mother having undergone plastic surgery to look like Raymond Massey back when she still lived in St. Olaf. However, we see her mother in an earlier episode and she looked nothing like him.
