New today Continuity mistake: When Kitty comes downstairs to give the gang cookies, she tells Eric that she picked out an outfit for him to wear on career day. He then turns and mouths the words "Help me" In the next shot you can see Jackie sitting on Kelso's lap when in the previous episode, she broke up with him. In the next shot, she is then seen standing behind him.
Factual error: The gang keeps referring to the theme park 'Great America' as "Six Flags." Up until the 80's the park was actually Marriott's Great America. There is no other Six Flags theme park in the area. - from Wikipedia "Marriott Corporation began construction on the park in 1974, and opened it in 1976 as "Marriott's Great America". In 1984, the park was purchased by Six Flags Corporation, becoming the 7th Six Flags park."
Factual error: Episode 7-2, "Let's Spend the Night Together" After Kelso gets the call that his girlfriend's water had broken and runs out of the room, Fez answers the phone. In the background there are several license plates on the wall, one of which is an Indiana "Amber Waves of Grain" design, which was first issued in 1993.

Continuity mistake: When Eric and Hyde are talking, while on Hyde's front porch, they talk about painting a pot leaf on the water tower before Hyde leaves to New York, but they already did it in the previous episode, "The Water Tower."
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode "You Shook Me", Jackie is talking to a drunk Kitty who is putting mini umbrellas in Jackie's hair. The first shot of her doing this, she puts a green umbrella on the right side of Jackie's head. After Kitty asks for more umbrellas, the shot changes to Jackie which now has a pinkish, red umbrella on the right side and two green ones on the top.
Revealing mistake: When Jackie and Fez are doing their Roller Disco routine, it becomes very obvious that doubles are used for many of the routines. Fez does a lot of his own stunts but Jackie does very few. While they do a decent job of hiding the stunt doubles, there are several times when you can see the faces of the doubles and it is obvious it is not Mila Kunis or Wilmer Valderrama. And you do not need slow motion or stop action to see the difference.
Factual error: During the episode, it goes back to 1968 and in the closing credits Eric is listed as being 7. However, he can't be because in 'Eric's Birthday' it was 1976 and he had turned 17. Thus in '68 he would have had to be 8 or 9 (depending on his birth) but certainly not 7.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Kelso enters Jackie's room (the second time) when she is sick, she throws the teddy bear at the door. When Kelso enters there is a shot of the bear in front of him at his feet. The scene changes to only show him from the waist up (he never moves) and then changes to a longer shot where he is still seen. The bear, once at his feet, is nowhere to be seen. The shot then changes to Jackie and back to the longer shot of Kelso. The bear is now behind Kelso's feet.

Continuity mistake: When Red throws the keys to the Vista Cruiser to Eric, you can see he (Eric) catches them with both hands clasped together, then the camera cuts to show Red and Kitty (with the back of Eric's head) you see now that his right hand is clenched in the air, then it cuts again and his hands are clasped together again. He could not have moved his hands that quick.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Eric gets the keys to the Vista Cruiser, just after he catches them, you can see that the door to the living room is wide open, but before when Red and Kitty were telling him the responsibilities of owning a car, it is closed. No one had gone through the door during the entire scene.
Factual error: In one scene towards the end of the episode, Hyde is reading MAD Magazine in the Hub when Jackie interrupts him. He says he is in the middle of reading "Smokey and the Band-Aid," MAD's parody of "Smokey and the Bandit." However, the issue he has is June 1976, and the film was not released until May 1977.
Factual error: When Mrs. Foreman gives Fez and Hyde Snack-Packs after they are caught trying to steal beer, they are in clear plastic containers. From 1968-1984, Snack Packs were in aluminum containers. From 1984-1990 they were in plastic containers, but not clear ones. It was not until 1990 that Hunts introduced the clear plastic containers.
Revealing mistake: The scene where Donna and Eric are running towards each other, each shot of Donna and Eric individually shows them running past the same umbrella and surfboard. They were using the same section of the beach to shoot both Eric and Donna running.
Continuity mistake: When Kitty asks Red for a cat Red is reading a copy of Time magazine. He closes the magazine and puts it down on his knee while he tells her why he doesn't want a cat in the house but in the next shot the magazine is back in his hands and open to where it was before he closed it.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Donna, Kelso, Eric, and Hyde are in The Hub after Eric gets suspended, Donna gets mad at the guys and leaves. But two shots later when Hyde is seen smiling and sipping his soda, you can see Donna's hair on the left side of the shot as if she was still sitting where she was before.
Factual error: When Donna and Randy are in Eric's bedroom, Randy is playing with Eric's toy lightsaber. However, the blade is green. No green lightsaber toys were produced until after the release of "Return of the Jedi", which occurred in 1983. Moreover, the handle is the modern style, not the vintage.
Factual error: Eric has diecast model cars in his bedroom; those were not around then. The ones he has weren't available until the 1990s. The characters also sometimes say "like" too much, as people do now. Nobody said that all the time in the 70s.
