Garage Sale - S2-E1
Corrected entry: The reason for the Garage Sale was that Red lost his job, but that doesn't actually happen until the next episode.
Continuity mistake: When Kitty comes downstairs to give the gang cookies, she tells Eric that she picked out an outfit for him to wear on career day. He then turns and mouths the words "Help me." In the next shot you can see Jackie sitting on Kelso's lap when in the previous episode, she broke up with him. In the next shot she is standing behind him. (00:01:00)
Red Foreman: Steven, when are you moving out?
Hyde: Soon.
Red Foreman: How's your girlfriend?
Hyde: Shallow as hell.
Red Foreman: Job?
Hyde: Dead-end.
Red Foreman: Future?
Hyde: Bleak.
Red Foreman: Kitty, feed the boy.
[Kitty takes Eric's plate and gives it to Hyde].
Trivia: The show was originally titled "Teenage Wasteland" or "The Kids Are Alright" but those were songs by The Who and, legally, Fox couldn't get permission to use them. They renamed the show "Feelin' Alright" to show the focus groups. However, nobody really liked the name. After the focus groups airing, the audience were heard saying they really liked that show about the 70's or that 70's show - and the name stuck.
Question: Who exactly shouts, "Hello Wisconsin!" at the end of the opening credits? I've long assumed it was Topher Grace, but it sounds as though it could be Danny Masterson or Ashton Kutcher as well.
Chosen answer: Danny Masterson is the one who screams "hello Wisconsin".

Correction: His last day on his job isn't until the next episode "Red's Last Day." He already knows he lost his job. There is nothing wrong with them showing him having a Garage Sale to help expenses. He could have had the Garage Sale on a Saturday and his last day at the plant was the next week. So there is no plot problem with them having the Garage Sale prior to his last day at work.
