Continuity mistake: As the power builds up in Bender, his left eye pops out, making him a cyclops, subsequently being eaten by the Cyclops eater. After the monster dies, Bender comes out, and has two eyes in the long shot, but puts his left eye back in the close up.

Continuity mistake: When Fry and Leela get to the moon landing site, Leela climbs in the moonlander hatch with the oxygen tank to which Fry's oxygen hose is connected. The hose is visible as it leads in to the hatch. When Leela pops her head out the hatch, the hose is suddenly gone. Then in the next shot, it's back, but lying underneath the hatch.
Other mistake: When the Moon Patrol officers throw Bender out of the airlock onto the moon's surface, they are exposed to hard vacuum, but they aren't wearing space suits. Throughout the episode it is established that the moon's "atmosphere" is a vacuum and protective suits are necessary - when the farmer removes his helmet he begins to asphyxiate instantly.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Leela is telling Fry how even his food is recycled (just after they have seen the video of the origin of the garbage-ball) you can see both Fry's drink can and sandwich on the table. After the closeup of Fry his sandwich has disappeared but in the next full-table shot it's back (albeit moved to Fry's right along with his drink can).
Continuity mistake: Whilst Fry, Leela and the professor are on the log near the waterfall they are very close to the right side of the river. A few shots after Gunter puts the hat back on his head you can see they and the log are now all the way over to the left side of the river.
Continuity mistake: When Bender is strapped to the table at the beginning of the reverse fossilization process, he has sensors on his sides, ears and ankles. During the process he magically gains alligator clips on his fingers and toes and sensors on his wrists. They spontaneously appear when the Professor pulls down the lever to start the process.
Continuity mistake: At the Cryogenic facility, right where Fry shouts "Pizza delivery for..." the desk is positioned almost parallel to the window, but when Fry sits down at the desk, its positioned perpendicular to the window. And Fry can't have moved the desk because in both shots the freezing chamber is placed behind it so he would have had to move that as well.
Continuity mistake: After the accident when Fry looks at his body, there is a tool kit or something similar more or less right in between the body's legs. In a few moments there is a shot from above and the kit is several feet to the right of the body without anyone touching it.

Continuity mistake: When the spaceman is delivering the 'Planet Express' package, the colour of the rocket on the box changes from black to green. The same thing happens to the spaceman when he's picked up by the large bird - the logo on his backpack changes colour.
Plot hole: Whenever Leela arrives and everyone starts beating up Fry to make him cry out the emperor, it shows Dr. Zoidberg pinching his leg and later, sitting next to the wall, tired out with Bender and Amy. However, if he's there, then what is keeping the Trisolians from coming through the hole in the door that Zoidberg was plugging with his claw?
Continuity mistake: When Bender is brought into the surgery tent and Zap is holding Nixon, the level of the fluid in Nixon's jar changes between angles. In the wider shots it covers his whole head, in the closer ones the top of his head is above the fluid.

Continuity mistake: When Fry and Leela are walking on the planet's surface, they have shadows. When they are next seen, the shadows have disappeared. The shadow inconsistencies happen again later when the buggy's wheel falls off and they try to outrun nightfall.
Continuity mistake: In the first episode of season 6, "Rebirth", near the end after the real Fry comes out of the Rebirth chamber, the robot Leela says that she and the robot Fry are in love she now has the real Leela's mechanical arm device on. But she never had it before or after that shot.
Continuity mistake: In the intro, before the main titles, the Professor informs the crew that he's booked them on the maiden voyage of the Titanic. When Leela says "Looks nice," at the beginning of the "scary" Titanic montage, the right side of her shirt is undamaged. During the middle of the "scary" Titanic montage, it suddenly becomes torn.
Continuity mistake: When the team are gathered round the table at the beginning of the episode, note their positions when the video screen is turned on. When they see Fry drying his hair, Leela and Bender have each moved up a chair, and Zoidberg has also moved, and seems to have taken half of his previous chair with him.
Continuity mistake: When the Professor shows that the woo-woo sound was air escaping from human-Bender's rolls of fat, there are small grey bits of debris on the wooden floor of the stage all around him. When the crowd gathers around Bender – seen from above - they are gone.
Continuity mistake: When talking about El Chupakneebra with the Sewer People, the characters are standing in front of a building with a blue sign reading "Cleaners". But in the shot where Leela explains how Nibbler loves fresh crocodile, the writing on the sign changes to a completely different, much narrower, style.
Continuity mistake: There is a weird case of musical tables going on during the Professor's Nobel Prize presentation. When Professor Wernstrom stands and says 'He needs medical attention.' he is sharing a table with an African-American man (who drops his pipe) and a younger man in a green shirt. On the table is an empty retort, an empty glass, one knife and two plates with half eaten meals on them. When he stands and tells the Professor he isn't going to get the Nobel Prize there are three plates with complete meals, a full retort and a full glass and two sets of cutlery. The African-American man has regained his pipe and is at a different table, and a white, bald man has joined them.
Continuity mistake: When the robot at the start is dying, the doctor opens a panel to see his "heart beat." After a couple of other shots we see the panel again and this time it's closed without anyone touching it. It's also important not to confuse the doctor closing the robots eyes with this panel.
Continuity mistake: In the very beginning scene, where Fry and Leela are talking, there is an explosion. When some ceiling falls down there is one big bit and three small bits next to Leela's foot but then a few seconds later there is one big bit and a few small bits all in different places.
Continuity mistake: When Bender and the other obsolete robots are watching a snail crawl across the beach, the snail is shown to be in the center of the screen with the robots standing around. Cut to Bender inserting a CD in his mouth, it then goes back to showing the original angle, but the snail has suddenly disappeared, and not enough time has passed for it to have crawled all the way out of the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Fry, Leela and Bender enter the orphanarium you can see 3 owls. In the next shot you can see 1 owl walk down the corridor. In this shot you can also see the door and no owls go through there, but in the next shot the other 2 have disappeared.

Other mistake: At the end, when Fry, Leela and Bender are sitting at the table, Fry's legs disappear (and the gray blotch beneath him isn't them - it's the table leg; and it's not hiding them either - his knees should be visible behind it).
Revealing mistake: In the final battle, Bender has fry trapped into the seat inside of him, and he drives over a ramp and nearly smashes into the original were-car mid-air. But when the were-car lands on the same ramp that Bender took off from, we see that the furnace is literally touching the end of the ramp. How did Bender get up enough speed to launch himself into the air, especially accidentally (he would have had to turn 90 degrees to get onto the ramp) with the furnace that close? Also at the start of this scene, we see the were-car crying in front of the furnace, and the ramp is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Fry and the professor is trying to make Gunter choose between the banana and the hat, the distance between Fry, the professor, and Leela changes noticeably between shots. First Fry and the professor are wide apart with Leela behind Fry. Then after Leela hears the robot-house's boat approaching, they're all suddenly down by the lake standing next to each other.
Continuity mistake: In one of the first shots at the Freedom Day celebration in front of the Lincoln Memorial, we see a banner, with the text "Freedom Day - Express yourself. I hate my job.", suspended between to poles. Some of the banner can also be seen during the first part of Nixon's speech. But when it gets time to lower "Old Freebie" (the flag) the banner has disappeared and the flag is lowered into the position where the banner hung before. And the banner was tied to the two poles so they can't have raised it.
Continuity mistake: Just before human-Bender is given the nachos in the bar, we see a blue table littered with food debris directly behind him. When he starts stuffing himself with the nachos the table is red and the litter is gone. When the crew prevent him from eating nachos and 'going to the bathroom' at the same time, the bar is a wide open space with no tables at all.
Continuity mistake: When Gunter is trying to figure out where the hat goes, the banana disappears and reappears between shots. When Gunter finally figures out the hat goes on the head the banana is nowhere to be seen, yet when he needs it to do some calculations the banana is on the ground right next to him.
Continuity mistake: When Hermes said that the form that Morgan filled out for a "regulation date that ended in regulation disappointment" was stamped only four times. The form shows three red stamp marks close to each other and a fourth one at the bottom right corner of the page by itself. Hermes then puts the form on 1.0s' desk and the first red stamp in the upper left corner is now by itself and the second and third stamp marks are now next to the fourth stamp mark. When we get a close-up of 1.0 looking at the form the stamp marks are back in their original place.
Other mistake: When Fry is talking to Leela (After being stitched onto Amy's body), he asks for some privacy from Amy, who puts her fingers in her ears and begins singing a song in Chinese. At one point, when it shows a close-up of Fry's head, you can barely see Amy's head, and the finger disappears and reappears near her nose, then suddenly reappears back in her ear.
Continuity mistake: When the filming of the fake TV show begins, Fry says "Lights." and Bender dramatically opens his chest cabinet to display a large stage light. The camera cuts to Fry, who says "Camera one." and then the camera cuts back to Bender, whose chest is now closed again. There wasn't enough time to shut his chest between the shots and we would have heard it anyway, given the amount of noise the stage light gives off.

Continuity mistake: Just as Hermes A is about to shoot the box into the sun, all the crew (A and B) shoot out into the airlock. However, Hermes B doesn't come out of the box and just appears in the pile. This is confirmed in the commentary.
Continuity mistake: When Bender and Santa are destroying New New York, we see an outside shot of Planet Express with the Professor's titanium shutters covering the entire building. But when we see everyone huddling on the couch, you can see out all the windows.
Continuity mistake: Hermes is a Grade 36. But when he finishes sorting the master in-pile he is demoted because he finished two seconds early. 1.0 tells him that he's demoted to grade 38. When 1.0 uses the control to demote Hermes, the number 38 is already on Hermes badge and then quickly turns into 36 and then back into 38.
Continuity mistake: Leela holds little Grr in both her hands. It cuts cuts to a close-up where she pokes Grr in his stomach with her right hand before she lowers it. When it cuts she is suddenly holding Grr with both hands again.
Continuity mistake: As Bender goes up to the Oilade stand there are four full glasses on the table and a large jar next to them. Bender drinks one of the glasses of oil and puts it down. He picks up another glass leaving two full glasses and one empty one on the table. The following shot there are now three full glasses. After this there are still three full glasses but the glasses have moved to the other side of the stand. The next shot the jar of oil disappears.
Continuity mistake: When the music starts in the bar human-Bender is stuffing himself with nachos – then he leaps off his stool, grabs a pint glass, a cigar and a handful of nachos and starts dancing. The pint glass and the cigar appear from nowhere – and there is no bar person to serve them (and no time to do it anyway.).
Revealing mistake: In the scene near the beginning where Leela tells Fry and Bender to watch the political debate on television, both of them (Fry and Bender) fall asleep. When Leela "hops" on the couch to wake them up, Bender's arm, despite being behind Leela, can be seen through her white shirt for a few frames.
Continuity mistake: When the mutant with the big head first mentions El Chupakneebra, in the background you can see the blue sign reading "Cleaners". It is then attached to the building next to the one the characters are standing by. However, in the next shot, when Leela asks what El Chupakneebra is, you can see the blue sign on the building they are in front of.
Continuity mistake: After Zapp Brannigan shows off his 'big book of war', he returns it to a pouch at the side of his chair. Two shots later there is no sign of the pouch or the book. Also, when he gets out of the chair, there are no buttons on the armrests, but when he returns to it later, there are two on each side.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Mars University" we are shown how robots in "Futurama" attend a regular college, alongside humans and other species, over a periode of at least one college semester. Bender even talks about how he attended and majored in bending (minoring in Robo-American history). However, in this episode, we are shown that his entire "education" consisted of downloading a file at the factory where he was made. There is a clear inconsistency in these two stories of Bender's education.
Continuity mistake: When Bender laments that he'll be drifting through space with just a little swag, he takes a gold wristwatch out of the bag and puts it on. The watch disappears a few seconds later when he pulls the little piano out of his chest storage and is never seen again.
Continuity mistake: During the Slurm Queen chase scene, the Slurm girls' shoes appear and disappear several times. On Slurms MacKenzie's line "Stop right there." the girls are wearing high-heeled pumps. When the shot cuts back to them, they're barefoot. A few seconds later, when the Slurm Queen bursts in, the Slurm girls are wearing shoes again; in the ensuing pursuit, their bare feet can be seen. At the end of the scene, when Slurms says, "I'll hold her off," the girls are wearing shoes. The girls are back to barefoot when Slurms tells them to party on without him.
Continuity mistake: On board the Nimbus where Zapp asks for the activation codes for the global defense network, it immediately after cuts to a shot of Kif Saying "Aye Aye sir". In the background of the shot sit two ship crew members, the brown haired one on the left disappears in the following shot.
Continuity mistake: When we see the professor's clone inside the tube there is a panel attached to a metal post going down to the bottom of the tube. When the professor hits the button to empty the tube of fluid it cuts to a close-up of the clone's feet and the metal post is suddenly gone.
Continuity mistake: During the professor's toast we see in an overhead shot there are two plates with veal on them and one plate with a pork on it. When Leela tells them to pass the veal to her all three plates have veal on them.
Continuity mistake: When they find Bender on the ground after being hit by the were-car Fry asks if any of them have any liquor you see all of them reaching out a bottle of liquor. When Bender grabs one of the bottles it cuts and you see all of them standing back as if none of them were handing him anything.
Continuity mistake: When Fry and Zoidberg are fighting, Zoidberg slashes the "Z" insignia (a tip of the hat to Zorro) onto Fry's shirt, then adds a D and R. When Fry releases Zoidberg from the nutcrackers and addresses the king, his shirt is repaired.
Continuity mistake: When Fry looks up at the clock tower the display reads "04:26" which implies it is 4 in the morning, instead of before sunset. In addition, once he has climbed up to the top of the tower, the clock has no 0 before the time and simply reads "4:26". The zero returns right at the end of the episode, in a wide shot of New New York.
Continuity mistake: When everyone is being scanned by the machine that determines who stays on Earth and who gets evacuated, the machine approves Amy, saying that they were in the same sorority and they do a "Sigma Beta" dance. In the first episode, Amy says that her sorority is Kappa Kappa Wong.
Continuity mistake: Hermes begins to tie the thing around his neck. One half of the cloth is around his neck whilst the other half is on his shirt collar. He ties it and the half of the cloth around his shirt collar has gone to his neck despite never touching it.
Continuity mistake: During the Titanic's naming ceremony, Zapp stands next to the ship, with the word "Titanic" in shot, just above the grey part of the hull, very low down on the ship. However, during the rest of the episode, the word "Titanic" is located further up, just below the white trim.
Continuity mistake: After the meeting when Fry has been promoted they are gathered in his office. As Amy says, "I can't figure out why she's so nice to you.", Fry holds a can of Slurm in one hand and his other hand is behind his head. When it cuts, both his hands are behind his head.
Continuity mistake: When the professor makes a toast for Leela he has some food on his plate and Bender is sitting right beside Hermes. When it cuts, the food from the professor's plate is gone and Bender has moved at least a foot away from Hermes.
Continuity mistake: When Professor Farnsworth places the envelope containing his holo-message on the table, we get a quick glimpse of the front of the envelope, and it is blank, without any writing on it. He then walks away with the Sunset Squad robot, without taking time to address the envelope. When the crew finds the message, the words "For my crew" appear on the envelope.
Continuity mistake: When Bender is being filmed stealing the cigar, we see the "robocop" showing the footage on his screen. In the wide angle you can see he has the siren on top of his head, then in the next shot it's suddenly not there. Then he actually raises it out of his head in the final angle.

Other mistake: When Professor Farnsworth was presenting the crude drawing of the Smelloscope to his scientific peers, he wiped the napkin which it was drawn on on his forehead, causing all the ink to smudge. But why isn't there any ink on Professor Farnsworth's head?
Continuity mistake: When Bender sits beside Fry on the couch, Bender's sitting at the end with his arm on the rest. When Fry says 'Leela, we're trying to watch TV' Bender's moved to the middle of the couch. The garbage next to Fry and the contents on the table also change in this scene.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Leela and the doctor are driving out of town and throughout the episode Leela's second eye is following her motion. This despite the fact that in a previous scene we could see that she was unable to move her second eye.
Continuity mistake: When Bender makes the joke about where the professor would be without all the students who love and respect him, we see the professor sitting with nothing in front of him on the table. When it cuts, two glasses and a blue cup suddenly appear.
Continuity mistake: When the Planet Express Ship first lands on the planet, it crashes with noticeable damage. When they try to sneakily escape while the screen play is going on (before they get the parts from the Star Trek ship), the damage is repaired.

Continuity mistake: While Fry is commenting on it being his first Christmas without his family, it can be seen that the door to the hallway is open. but when Hermes comes in, there's the sound of the door opening. Also, Hermes waves the two stacks of cards. The stack in his right hand has a red envelope in it that changes to white in the wide shot.

Continuity mistake: When Fry, Leela, and Bender make it back to the ship, Fry's hair is messed up. When the bee is unfolding itself, Fry shouts "Look out!" and his hair isn't messed up. Then when he says the bee will have to go through him, his hair is messed up again.
Continuity mistake: When Fry and the kid are racing along the motorway, just after they let go of the cars they are holding onto, they head into a lamp post. This leads them to banging their heads and collapsing on the floor, because the ribbon they were holding onto forces them into the lamp post. When they fall on the floor, the dust shoots up. After the dust disappears, the lamp post has as well, meaning that the ribbon isn't actually tied around anything.

Continuity mistake: When Fry asks the Professor his 'What if?' question there are two shots from behind showing Scruffy and one shot in front. From behind, Scruffy has a brown moustache and a grey hat, but from the front he has his usual grey moustache and brown hat.
Plot hole: In the sewer, the guy with the big forehead starts singing with his guitar and a crowd gathers around. But you can see Leela's parents standing in the crowd and having no reaction to their daughter whatsoever, despite them knowing what she looks like. Considering later episodes, this is a bit confusing.
Factual error: When Professor Farnsworth visits the Bubbling Geezer to receive youthasizing treatment, the trained professional Heather says "botulism toxin tightens and tones facial muscles." Botulism is the actual poisoning, not the toxin. Botulinum toxin causes muscle paralysis which weakens the muscle, not tightening and toning of the muscles.
Continuity mistake: When Fry and Lucy Liu-bot are in Dinkin Donuts, Fry has a jam doughnut with a bite taken out of it. Fry and Lucy Liu-bot talk and Lucy Liu-bot explains about her personality and it cuts back to Fry, who has a complete jam doughnut and takes a bite out of it.
Continuity mistake: Season 6, episode 19 "Yo Leela Leela": When Bender discovers Leela's secret writing place, throughout the entire scene the lipstick marks on his head keep changing places, sometimes disappearing and reappearing. Most noticeable is the one on the right side of his head: it disappears when he is shown from that side, then reappears as soon as the angle changes.
