Continuity mistake: When Meg introduces Jennifer to Lois, she is, as usual, wearing her glasses. However, right when Jennifer says, "Bye Meg," Meg is seen in the shot, and her glasses have disappeared. Her glasses are back on in the next shot.

The paper cups that Lois filled with punch also vanish, and the rolling pin, board, etc. suddenly appear. (00:11:30)

Answer: Mort is Jewish, and Walt Disney was said to be antisemitic. So it would make sense in a Disney universe all the inhabitants would share his supposed beliefs.
