Continuity mistake: At the beginning when Dr Cox is talking to Dr Kelso, behind Dr Cox is a women handling a green stuffed toy which she puts down. The shot then cuts to the son and wife of Dr Cox and then back. The woman has the stuffed toy back in her hands.
Continuity mistake: When Carla and Turk tell JD that he is around them all the time, it cuts to a scene with Carla and Turk in the tub while JD is using the toilet. It cuts back to JD saying "And here I thought that was a lovely evening" while he is holding a bowl of popcorn in his hands. When it cuts the bowl is suddenly on the table.
Continuity mistake: When Jordan slides on the floor going under the closing door her hat goes off landing straight, and already beyond the door. When it cuts to her picking it up it lies on its side and is now on the other side of the door, for her to reach under and collect it.
Revealing mistake: When Carla and Elliot are walking through the graveyard, Elliot falls into an open grave. After she has fallen off the bottom of the screen, you can see her ankle flick up in the bottom of the picture, showing that she actually just fell down on the floor during shooting.
Continuity mistake: JD is trying to tempt Turk to do a favor for him with a package of gum. The shot from the front shows JD holding the package with his thumb on the bottom and forefinger on top of the package. The shot switches to over JD's shoulder, and he is now pinching the package on the bottom corner.
Plot hole: In this episode Ted claims he lost his hair in 8th grade (and was subsequently able to help his junior high girlfriends friend rent a car). But in Season 1, Episode 8 "My Fifteen Minutes" Ted tells Dr Kelso that when he started as the hospitals legal counsel he still had his hair.
Continuity mistake: Episode 22 - season 4. When Carla is trying to justify her kissing JD and she says "You know how upset I was when you started calling you ex-girlfriend" to Turk she holds her arms down. When it cuts she suddenly rests her right arm on the couch.
Other mistake: When the Janitor plays with Kelso 'double or nothing' for tossing the cotton ball a second time in the jar, Todd tells Kelso he now owes him $600, in the end it was $700. This isn't a 'double or nothing' amount of money the Janitor could generate. They started with $5, so the count would be 5 - 10 - 20 - 40 - 80 - 160 - 320 - 640 - 1280 and so on.
Continuity mistake: When Dr Cox throws JD's TV remote on the table, it lands upside down near to the magazine on the middle of the table. However, the next shot of the table shows the TV remote facing the right way up and near the corner of the table. Also the magazine seems to have moved slightly away from JD's beer.

Continuity mistake: Just after Dr Elliot Reid says "frick on a stick with a brick", Dr Cox and Dr Reid have a conversation. In between shots Dr Cox's stethoscope seems to change position. Look mainly at the ear piece side and you'll notice it's closer to his neck and sometimes further. Dr Reid's starts off with 1 earpiece behind her name tag and then between shots both earpieces are above her name tag. At the very end of the conversation, they somehow move behind her name tag.

Continuity mistake: After Elliott falls into the grave, she tries to pull herself out by placing both hands on the edge of the grave and jumping. When she falls back in again, there are two clumps of dirt missing from the edge where her hands were. In later shots, the edge of the grave is unmarked.
Continuity mistake: When the girl in the bathtub comes crashing through the ceiling, she has her hands covering her upper chest and no bath bubbles. The next shot there is a great deal of bath bubbles all over her and we cannot see her hands covering her chest. As the guy falls through the ceiling, the bubbles on the woman again disappear and we see her hands.
