My Best Friend's Wedding - S3-E22

Corrected entry: Turk and Carla are married by the patient who is also a priest. It is just the three of them in the patient's room. For a wedding ceremony to be legal, at least two witnesses are needed to see the marriage. This is a marriage requirement in most states.

Kinetic14

Correction: California state law for public marriage licenses requires only 1 witness. California state law for confidential marriage licenses does not require any witnesses.

My Clean Break - S3-E11

Corrected entry: JD asks Elliot how she manages her good looks. She then has a flashback that starts with her alarm clock buzzing at 5:00. When she presses the button for the alarm to stop, we can see another time (9:35) - the alarm setting time. The time was 5:00, but the alarm was set for 9:35, so there was no way it was going to buzz at 5:00.

Correction: My alarm has settings for two different times so if one person gets up before the other they flip a switch & the alarm wont go off again until the second time it was set for.

Correction: This kind of 'mistake' has been corrected for dozens of films and tv shows. The road is heavily used by all sorts of vehicles. The skid marks are perfectly natural.

Correction: Not a film mistake.

My Journey - S3-E2

Corrected entry: When the collarbone patient reveals his fiancee is a guy Turk is shocked and Dr. Cox comments "Never underestimate how much this freaks him out." Later in the episode, Turk even admits that the idea of two guys together, or even being that close to another guy, creeps him out. But in previous episodes we've seen him sleeping in JD's bed and talking to/about gay staff at the hospital and been completely normal about it.

Shay

Correction: JD is his best friend, that's why he has no problem sleeping in the same bed as him. And even if he doesn't like the idea of two men being together doesn't mean he won't talk about/to them. The main reason he's a bit freaked here is that it comes as a surprise, so he's not prepared.

My Journey - S3-E2

Corrected entry: JD throws his clipboard out the window and you can hear the sound of metal hitting metal followed by an alarm, suggesting it hits a car, so how is it possible that later on we see JD treating a patient who claims to have been hit on the head with a clipboard thrown out a window (the implication being that it was JD's)?

Shay

Correction: It could have hit the guy on the head and then fallen down on the car if the guy was standing close enough to the car.

My Way Home - S5-E7

Character mistake: Early in the episode, Keith pages JD from home to the hospital. When JD arrives, he asks Keith what's the big emergency and Keith asks if he wants the patient to be prescribed unfractionated or low molecular weight heparin. JD gets angry and says that they're the exact same thing. This is in fact completely incorrect. Low molecular weight heparin is made from fragments of unfractionated heparin. They have different effects in their metabolism, half life and dose monitoring (unfractionated needs a blood test, low molecular weight doesn't). The choice between unfractionated and LMWH is an important clinical decision and should not be dismissed as "the exact same thing".

Carla: You can deny you like her all you want. But, I know for a fact, that every time you guys are done "playing racquetball" or "having a conversation" or whatever it is you crazy kids are calling it, you like nothing more than to just lie next to Jordan and watch her sleep.
Dr. Cox: It would be impossible for me to lie next to Jordan, she sleeps hanging from a ramp in the ceiling, wrapped in a cocoon of her own wings.

Season 1 generally

Question: In one episode (I think it's My Balancing Act) Dr Kelso is trying to scare the interns, so he pulls his face off and 'becomes' a guy with crazy ginger hair and a very annoying loud voice. I'm a Brit so that's maybe why I don't recognise this guy. Is he supposed to be someone famous?

Answer: This is an American comedian called Scott Thompson, more widely known by his stage name of "Carrot Top".
