My Lunch - S5-E20

Corrected entry: The donor recipients all crash dramatically after the doctors discover the donor which all the organs came from had rabies. However rabies has a long incubation period, patients take days to die involving seizures and frothing at the mouth before complete organ failure takes place. The deaths of these 3 patients was not the kind of death caused by rabies.

Correction: Organ recipients have to be on immunosuppresants, which would make the rabies take a much, much shorter course.

My Best Friend's Wedding - S3-E22

Corrected entry: Turk and Carla are married by the patient who is also a priest. It is just the three of them in the patient's room. For a wedding ceremony to be legal, at least two witnesses are needed to see the marriage. This is a marriage requirement in most states.

Correction: California state law for public marriage licenses requires only 1 witness. California state law for confidential marriage licenses does not require any witnesses.

My Finale - S8-E18

Corrected entry: When the Janitor shows J.D. the penny that he allegedly put in the door eight years prior, the penny is stamped with "2006", whereas the penny-in-the-door incident took place in 2001.

Correction: The Janitor lied to and manipulated J.D. for years, there is no reason to think that the Janitor would have kept and shown J.D. the real penny. It was probably just a coin he had in his pocket.

My Lucky Day - S2-E9

Corrected entry: Early in the episode, Dr. Cox assigns J.D. a patient described as a "whiny, neurotic, sexually repressed mom", but for the rest of the episode, J.D.'s patient is referred to as a male.

Correction: The "whiny, neurotic mom" is Dr Cox's description of JD.

My Old Friend's New Friend - S4-E1

Corrected entry: There is a scene where Carla and Turk have just arrived by cab to the hospital. Turk and J.D. see each other and Carla tells Turk "go ahead" and he runs off leaving Carla standing in front of their luggage. A few seconds later J.D. and Turk run past each other in the hospital in front of Carla, who is now magically wearing scrubs and holding a chart.

Correction: This is to imply that they have been chasing each other around the hospital for a while, missing each other, not quite able to find each other in the same place at the same time. In this span of time they are running around like fools, Carla has already changed for work and is now on shift.

Kimberly Mason

My Old Friend's New Friend - S4-E1

Corrected entry: When JD jumps onto Turk and they yell at each other, you can hear JD say 'Giggle' or something, in a high voice. But his mouth does not move when this is said, plus he is already screaming in delight, so he couldn't have said it.

Correction: He says "eagle", he is not screaming at the time he says it and you can see him say it.

My Day Off - S1-E9

Corrected entry: When J.D. has his appendectomy, Turk is cutting on his left side. The appendix is on the right side of the body. Ironically, J.D. is commenting in the voice-over about what a great surgeon Turk is.

Mark Bernhard

Correction: About one in 10,000 people have 'situs inversus', a total reversal of their organs. In such a case, the appendix would be on the left. See here:

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the 23rd episode of season 5, Turk tells JD he hasn't noticed Kim because she wears a wedding ring. He then goes on to cite that she was there during his first day and at Ben's funeral. It then shows clips of these two scenes. In his "first day" scene taken from the pilot episode, Kim is shown between JD and Carla as JD is celebrating, but was absent from this scene in the first episode. During Ben's funeral, Kim is shown sitting behind and between JD and Dr. Cox, which is a seat taken by Carla during the actual scene.

Correction: This is a joke, meant to emphasize his obliviousness. Like many flashbacks and fantasies in the show, it isn't meant to be taken seriously.

My Heavy Meddle - S1-E16

Corrected entry: When Turk, JD, Elliot, and Carla are on the roof throwing things off, they each grab a watermelon. When the camera shows them landing, it's only 3 that hit, and none of them held back.

Correction: That's because one of the watermelons (Carla's) landed out of the framing of the shot.

My Way Home - S5-E7

Corrected entry: In the scene where Turk fantasizes about being a bad father, he knocks over babies and they fall like dominoes. You can see that the cribs are taped down onto the floor; it helps them fall neatly.

Correction: It's a fantasy, and anything can happen in his imagination.

My House - S6-E4

Corrected entry: During the scenes where the Janitor is shown shooting paint balls at JD, the hopper remains filled with red paint balls after he shoots.

Correction: The paintballs in the hopper would only go down when the gun is cocked. The janitor only shoots one shot at a time.

My Old Lady - S1-E4

Corrected entry: In the scene where JD plays Death in connect four, Death wins with a diagonal connect four. There were 6 black pieces and 8 red pieces. Based on normal connect four rules, no matter who starts the game, the game will always end with the same number used for each color.

Correction: This was JD's fantasy/dream. He could have any amount of one color and it wouldn't matter, since it was his dream to make it any way he saw fit.

My Last Chance - S4-E8

Corrected entry: As JD gets on his scooter to go see Molly, he makes an action as if the bike has a kick start, but when the bike falls over after he runs into the wall, there is no kick start. That model bike has an electric start, although JD might like to make it look like his has one.

Correction: You correct your own mistake, he just mimics kick starting the scooter.

My Clean Break - S3-E11

Corrected entry: JD asks Elliot how she manages her good looks. She then has a flashback that starts with her alarm clock buzzing at 5:00. When she presses the button for the alarm to stop, we can see another time (9:35) - the alarm setting time. The time was 5:00, but the alarm was set for 9:35, so there was no way it was going to buzz at 5:00.

Correction: My alarm has settings for two different times so if one person gets up before the other they flip a switch & the alarm wont go off again until the second time it was set for.

My Malpractice Decision (aka My MalPractical Decision) - S4-E9

Corrected entry: When JD and Elliot put Doug in the quarantine bag, they throw him towards a wall which has no windows, yet he smashes through one and lands in the parking lot.

Correction: This scene takes place in J.D.'s imagination. Anything is posible.

My Two Dads - S1-E5

Corrected entry: In the scene at the golf-course Dr.Cox is talking to J.D and in the background there is a person visible for a short while behind the large tree in the background. There aren't any other people there and the person does not appear to play golf.

Correction: Many golf courses contain public rights of way, making it entirely possible for a non-golfer to be there. Without evidence that this is a member of the crew, the presence of somebody else in the background cannot be considered unreasonable.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Keith, Lisa, Rex and a few others were JDs interns at the start of season five. Then once Keith starts to date Elliot, they suddenly become Elliot's interns. The interns Elliot had earlier in the season just disappear.

Correction: The interns just switched attendings. Whilst Turk's been at Sacred Heart he's had numerous attendings.

Show generally

Corrected entry: The janitor's lines are often unplanned, with the script simply saying, "Janitor says something".

Correction: Incorrect. The Janitor has lines, but often does variations of them. As evident by the fact that his co-stars always manage to have suitable responses.

Show generally

Corrected entry: At one point, it is revealed that the Janitor's name in the show is Neil Flynn (the actor's name), and J.D. sees him in a bit part he played in the Harrison Ford movie "The Fugitive." So, in essence, while everyone else are fictional characters, Neil Flynn is playing himself - as a sadistic janitor.

Rooster of Doom

Correction: The Janitor's name is never actually revealed; Neil Flynn's real-life past was used to give his character some depth, but the latter remains known to all and sundry only as 'Janitor'.

My Lucky Night - S3-E4

Corrected entry: You can see the double set of skid marks where they had to shoot the skid stop twice.

Correction: This kind of 'mistake' has been corrected for dozens of films and tv shows. The road is heavily used by all sorts of vehicles. The skid marks are perfectly natural.

My Moment of Un-Truth - S3-E17

Corrected entry: In season 3 on disc 2, The last episode is titled "My Moment of Un-Truth". But on the inside cover showing the episodes says "My Moment Of Truth".

Correction: Not a film mistake.

My Hero (2) - S1-E23

Corrected entry: When Dr. Kelso is confronting Dr. Reed about her assessment of him, the clock behind them is at 1:50. The shot changes and then changes back and you can't even see the clock hands (they've moved to above the frame of the shot), and less than 10 seconds had passed.

David Mercier

Correction: The clock is only seen twice during the conversation, and on both occasions the time is the same at 1:50.

My Blind Date - S1-E12

Corrected entry: When the social worker is feeling for a wedding ring on JD'S hand, she is feeling his right hand.not his left, where most married people would wear it.

Correction: It's not unreasonable to think she might not realise it's the wrong hand as she can't see it and it was just a way to let JD know she's interested in him.

My First Step - S2-E7

Corrected entry: When JD and Elliot go bungee jumping stunt people were used instead of the real actors. The two stunt people met on the set and are now married.

Correction: Unless you can see their faces on camera without freeze framing, this is not a mistake. It is trivia.

Show generally

Corrected entry: The shot of J.D. walking toward Sacred Heart hospital is re-used so many times. Note the lady pushing the man in the wheelchair and the two doctors standing by the wall talking.

Hamster Premium member

Correction: How is this a mistake? It's just a recurring shot used over various episodes.

My Day Off - S1-E9

Corrected entry: When JD is admitted and meets the janitor when he is eating an apple, an impossible large amount of the apple is eaten between shots, as he takes only one bite.

Correction: The Janitor already has a few big bites out of the apple even before he starts talking to J.D.

My Blind Date - S1-E12

Corrected entry: When you see the hospital social worker slip just before the starting credits, it is clue she is a brunette. Yet at the end when she is coming out of the MRI scan, you can see the bottom of her hair which is very blonde.

Correction: The lighting can make her brown hair look blonde. Alex, the girl in the MRI scan, is always played by Elizabeth Bogush, including in that shot. Furthermore, you can see the rest of that shot in the following episode and her hair is most definitely brown.

My Boss's Free Haircut - S4-E20

Corrected entry: Cellular phones are not allowed at hospitals because they can disturb sensitive equipment. While Kelso might not recognise his patient's "toy" as a cell phone, Laverne obviously does, and she doesn't react on it being forbidden.

Correction: Many people use mobile 'cell' phones in hospitals, even the staff, and so a lot of them don't react, besides the fact that this is a character's choice.

My Journey - S3-E2

Corrected entry: When the collarbone patient reveals his fiancee is a guy Turk is shocked and Dr. Cox comments "Never underestimate how much this freaks him out." Later in the episode, Turk even admits that the idea of two guys together, or even being that close to another guy, creeps him out. But in previous episodes we've seen him sleeping in JD's bed and talking to/about gay staff at the hospital and been completely normal about it.

Correction: JD is his best friend, that's why he has no problem sleeping in the same bed as him. And even if he doesn't like the idea of two men being together doesn't mean he won't talk about/to them. The main reason he's a bit freaked here is that it comes as a surprise, so he's not prepared.

My Cake - S4-E6

Corrected entry: When JD finds his brother in the tub he remarks that Dan has been in the bathroom for about nine hours. Dan complains that the water is cold. However there's still foam on the water, which would have disappeared long before the water got cold.

Correction: First of all, from looking at it you can't be sure it's actually foam, it looks more like the water has just gone a milky white (which bathwater does if you have bubblebath and leave it a long time). But assuming it is foam, it's not unreasonable to guess that if he's been in there for 9 hours then Dan might have gotten bored and added more bubblebath (then made foam by mixing up the water himself).

My Journey - S3-E2

Corrected entry: JD throws his clipboard out the window and you can hear the sound of metal hitting metal followed by an alarm, suggesting it hits a car, so how is it possible that later on we see JD treating a patient who claims to have been hit on the head with a clipboard thrown out a window (the implication being that it was JD's)?

Correction: It could have hit the guy on the head and then fallen down on the car if the guy was standing close enough to the car.

My Blind Date - S1-E12

Corrected entry: In the first episode, JD pronounces a man dead at 0200, indicating that the hospital uses 24 hour time. But in this episode, Elliot pronounces the man dead at 1155. 1155 in 24 hour time refers to 11:55 AM but the time is actually 11:55PM, so Elliot should have said 2355.

Correction: It could be the person's personal preference. Also, whoever's writing it down could record it correctly if that was a problem.

My Mentor - S1-E2

Corrected entry: While trying to attract Dr. Cox's attention, J.D. switches off his television, using the on/off switch on the set itself. After throwing J.D. out, Cox turns the television back on using the remote. That isn't possible. He'd have to get up and switch the television on before the remote would operate.

Correction: There are often stand-by buttons on both the set and the remote.

My New Old Friend - S2-E12

Corrected entry: When the janitor is talking about stuff he took from JD's locker, he shows him the blue 'scrubs' he will use to pretend he's a doctor at his son's career day. But later, as Dr. Jan Itor, he is wearing a long white doctor's coat, which JD doesn't have.

Correction: The latter scene is taking place in JDs head.

Elliot: Dr. Cox, does this lipstick make me look like a clown?
Dr. Cox: No, Barbie... It makes you look like a prostitute who caters exclusively TO clowns.

Season 6 - Episode 1 - My Mirror Image: Dr. Cox's hair colour and length change back and forth significantly during the episode.

Ben Sullivan, Dr. Cox's best friend and brother-in-law, loves his camera and takes pictures everywhere he goes. Brendan Fraser, who plays Ben, has a great interest for photography in real life.
