Correction: Debra doesn't say "Robert", she says, "More than a Game, by Raymond Barone."

The Checkbook - S2-E16

Corrected entry: When Ray cuts in front of a woman at the ATM, she runs to get a cop. She comes back with Robert. The problem is, Robert is a New York City cop, and Ray lives in Nassau County, which is not in New York City. Robert has no jurisdiction, and would not be patrolling in Nassau County.

Correction: This is not necessarily an error. If a crime is taking place in Nassau County and Robert is in his NY-PD uniform, he would be allowed to respond to a citizen's request for aid. In this case, a woman is robbed at an ATM and the nearest police officer she could find is an NY-PD patrol officer that officer could respond. In NY State, all police officers have authority to respond to crimes in that state, regardless of the jurisdiction.

Correction: Robert was on patrol at the time, which means he should not have been in Nassau County. NYPD only serves the 5 boroughs: Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens. Nassau County has its own police force. In the prior scene, Marie tells Ray that Robert left the envelope with money in it with her because he was late for work.

Correction: S04e06 "The Sister" is when Jennifer comes over to announce she's going to become a nun. There's never any mention she never married. While it doesn't bring up her husband or ex-husband, they do say she wouldn't be able to give up men (and joked she dated The Who), so she simply could have had a big wedding and then gotten divorced shortly after.

Correction: It's just a motion-sensor light outside the front door.

Correction: This would only be a mistake if he squeezed it less than 12 times. Doing it more is just "extra".

Season 2 generally

Corrected entry: During the opening sequence for Season 2, all the floating people have shadows visible on the house. When Robert walks by the house, he doesn't cast a shadow on the house but he does on Raymond, therefore the floating people and the house behind them are products of green screen filming.

Correction: No.... only Robert walks in front of Raymond -- all the others go past behind him. Their shadows would be further back (i.e., onto the house), where Robert's would be only as far as Raymond (even taking into account his height).

Correction: So he removed the fax machine, which could be for any number of reasons, especially since the machine is gone in a subsequent (rather than prior) episode?

The Garage Sale - S2-E23

Corrected entry: While Debra and Marie are outside of The Garage Sale the wind is blowing quite strongly and blows Debra's hair all over the place in a big way. However, Marie's hair does not move at all, not even as a total unit, say if she had on a lot of hairspray or had been permed. The significant amount of wind would have caused some movement, no question. This suggests the fan was only pointed or primarily pointed in the direction of Debra.

Correction: Marie's hairstyle is attained by using a pic to lift and shape it and then sprayings lots and lots and lots of hairspray to hold it. That hair does not move - ever. It only gets smooshed when you sleep on it. My mother's hair was the same way. Breezy days don't affect it.

No Thanks - S4-E9

Question: Marie teaches Debra to make something called Canopys (I'm not even sure that's how you spell it). Can someone tell me what Canopys are and give me the correct spelling? I assume it's some sort of Italian appetizer or dish.

rstill

Chosen answer: A Canapé is a cracker or a small, thin piece of bread or toast spread with cheese, meat, or relish and served as an appetizer.
