Audio problem: When Lisa rides past on her Pony, Ralph is sitting on the fence with another boy who says, 'She really tamed that horse', Ralph says, 'Yes but who can tame her?'. However he speaks with a deeper voice as opposed to his higher squeaky voice, and sounds exactly like Nelson Muntz.
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Burns notices that Homer is wearing a pink shirt to work, when he pauses and zooms in the video, Homer is looking almost directly at the camera. In the next shot, though, he is looking more to his left. The people surrounding him also change.
Audio problem: When Horst is checking the power plant, he sees some radioactive liquid pouring out of the chimney, he says "That shouldn't be" but his mouth doesn't move when he says "be". When he spots the raccoons he speaks but his mouth does not move at all. And at the end when Mr Burns is mocking the German men, Horst says "Burns, stop it." but his mouth doesn't move.
Continuity mistake: In the episode which recalls how Homer and Marge got married, Homer writes a note to Marge on a piece of paper entitled 'From The Pen Of Patty' he SCRIBBLES out Patty's name and writes his own, but when Marge reads the note, 'Patty' only has a single straight line through it. The word "HOMER" also changes.
Continuity mistake: Just after Bart has played the guitar in the street, he picks up two books. Before Bart picks them up they are green but they instantly turn blue when he does pick them up. Then when he gets on the bus the books have disappeared completely.
Continuity mistake: When Burns first shows the team the nerve tonic, the "&" on the 'Brain & Nerve Tonic' label is facing backward, but as Burns pulls it away it faces forward. Then as he moves it around as he's talking, the "&" switches between facing forward and facing backward again. This happens all in the one shot.
Continuity mistake: The photo Edna sends to Bart differs when he shows his parents. The angle is different from what it was previously, revealing part of a photo frame on the wall which wasn't there before, and the sheets/pillows on the bed are different, and her eyes are closed when they look at it, but when Bart looked at it, they were open.

Continuity mistake: Bart's guitar is lefthanded. So when the righthanded Otto plays it on the bus, the guitar is flipped over, with the little speaker on the top. But when Otto is playing it later in the garage, it is a normal righthanded guitar, with the little speaker on the bottom.
Continuity mistake: When Marge is talking to Lisa in her room about Band Practice, Lisa is reading comics, eating potato chips, and there is a drink by her as well. The drink container starts out green with a light purple label, then goes to being grey with a red label then as Marge tells her story, the colours of the drink change again twice.

Continuity mistake: When Skinner is calmly driving the bus on the way to school, they have obviously gone past a number of power lines (you can see that they have because you can see them in the background). However, when Skinner is trying to get onto the main road, the power lines have disappered from the background.
Continuity mistake: At the very end of the episode, when the kids are lined up to wait to see whether Otto is back driving the bus, there are several shots that switch back and forth between a direct view of the kids and a shot from behind. Lisa changes position between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Lisa calls Homer at work, you can see some monitors to his right, and a fire hydrant in back of him. When he turns to his right, you can see that the monitors disappear, the fire hydrant moves, and a green telephone appears next to it.

Audio problem: When Marge is running errands, Homer gives her his bowling ball with a bottle cap stuck in a hole. She then takes it to Nicks. When he says, "Sorry lady, you've got the wrong Nicks," he shakes his head and makes an "Ohh" shape with his mouth, not saying anything.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bart tries to get his radio back from the well, watch the police barriers. When Lou and Eddie get coffee, they walk through one of the barriers, tearing it. Several shots later, this torn piece has vanished, and then the barriers disappear entirely.
Continuity mistake: When Samantha is being introduced to the class, there is a boy in the front row on the right side that is wearing a white shirt and has brown hair. A few shots later (an overhead shot of the classroom), the boy is completely different, with a blue shirt and white hair.

Other mistake: After the scene where Mr. Burns gives Smithers his picture of him and Elvis Presley, Homer asks Lisa a couple of questions about Germany. At the beginning of this brief scene, Lisa is reading a book, and from her point of view, her eyes are moving from right to left, which shows she is reading the wrong way on a single page.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, when we see the exterior shot of the bus, it is full of kids. In the interior shots, 1) before the twins talk to Bart and Milhouse, every seat is empty, even Sherri and Terri's. 2) when the bus arrives at the school, we AGAIN see a full busload of kids.

Continuity mistake: At one point in the episode, Homer is on the phone with someone in his work station. I forget who it was, but anyway, when you first see him, the wire is coming from the left side of him and when he turns to his right, the wire is coming from the right side of him.

Continuity mistake: When Bart gets on the bus, we see one of the twins sitting near the front of the bus. In the next shot, we see both twins sitting at the back. The shot after that, we see the twin near the front again, running to the back.
Continuity mistake: As Mr. Burns and Smithers are talking on the phone, we see a hand holding the receiver, and when they're finished, the next shot shows us a black skinned referee. His skin color was yellow before. Also, the phone is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When we see the overhead shot of Krusty crying at the Simpsons' table (just before he explains his story), we can see that Krusty has no meat on his plate. When we first see the family and Krusty after the story, there's meat on Krusty's plate. This is visible in the 'Homer's tuxedo' mistake picture.
Continuity mistake: There are several errors in the plant's parking lot: 1, in the overhead shot of the plant, we see Homer drive in, and there are parking barriers on the road. These disappear in the next shot. 2, As he drives in, there are at least eleven parking spaces on the right side of him. Carl takes up one spot, and in the next shot there are about 3 parking spaces left. 3, When he parks, we see several cars behind him, but in the shot before that, no cars are visible, not even parking spaces, and 4, when both Homer and Carl drive in, we see orange lines on the road, which weren't visible in any other part of the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Homer gets turned into a jack-in-the-box, we don't hear the chair he was just holding crash onto the floor. Bart doesn't make it vanish, as we see it on the floor when Homer is turned into a jack-in-the-box.
Continuity mistake: When Otto is playing the guitar with bart in the middle of the night, there are close-ups of Otto whenever he is singing. You can see that the wall behind him is plain. However, when there is a wide shot of otto and bart, the wall behind otto has two tables leaned against them.
Other mistake: Near the beginning of the episode when Selma and Sideshow Bob arrive at the Simpsons' house, Bart and Lisa scream and hide behind Marge. Selma says "What the - ?" but the DVD subtitles say that Marge says it. It is shown "MARGE: What the - ?".
Continuity mistake: In the cafeteria scene where Milhouse shoots a spitball at Kearney, in the shot when Milhouse says, "We have order, but at what price," Milhouse, Lewis and the bullies all change positions at their tables. You may have to watch this part several times to understand it.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, Bart is writing lines, and he has already written on one half of the board. On the half he has already written lines on, the lines go down the board about 3/4 of the way, yet when the shot changes, the lines now go all the way down to the bottom of the board.
Other mistake: When the pupils are doing the test at school, you hear Miss Hoover say a question with three possible answers; but 1) There are 5 possible answers on the test when we see Lisa doing it, and 2) Miss Hoover says the 60th question, but Lisa looks to be nowhere near the 60th question.
Continuity mistake: After the dinner with Sideshow Bob, Patty, Selma and the Simpsons, the food on Bart's plate changes between shots. We first see a piece of meat with some peas, then we see two pieces of meat and some mashed potato. It changes randomly throughout the scene.
00:02:40 - 00:07:05OL1V3R666
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Miss Hoover asks Lisa what the ninteenth-century figure nicknamed 'Old Hickory' is, there is no text on the covers of the book she's holding. In the next two shots, however, 'Teacher's Edition' can be seen on the front cover and the spine of the book.
Other mistake: In the end credits where it says, "Special Guest Voice", Marcia Wallace's name is there. Mrs. Krabappel was originally supposed to be in the episode but wasn't because Jose Canseco disliked his original part. He was originally slated to wake up in bed with her and miss the game, but Canseco's then-wife, Esther Haddad, objected.
Revealing mistake: When Homer takes out the dollar bill from his back pocket right before he puts it into the vending machine, the left side of the screen is cut off a little. You can tell especially with how the trash bin in the bottom left has a splotchy white line next to it.
Other mistake: On the DVD, When Homer is sitting on the Spinemelter, he says at one point "I've tried to fill it with family, religion, community service, but those were dead ends. This card is the answer". However the subtitles say "I've tried to fill it with family, religion, but those things were dead ends. This card is the answer", leaving "community service" out.
