Continuity mistake: After the safety expedition has taken place, we see that when everyone is in Burns' office that by his main doors there are 4 buttons on the wall. Yet when a shot from further away is shown, they are not there.
Continuity mistake: When Marge is standing outside the Kwik-E-Mart, she is holding some papers with a picture of Mary Bailey and the words "Re-Elect Bailey." But in a long shot of Marge in the next shot, the papers she is holding in her right arm are now completely blank.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Burns tells Homer to wreck something, Homer throws a plant pot onto the floor and it breaks into several pieces. When Mr Burns tells Smithers to take him home, the pieces of the broken plant pot are nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: In the meeting with Mr Burns and his advisers, one of the advisers holds up a photo of a guy who dated Mary Bailey and the adviser's tie is green. When he is sitting down in the next shot, his tie is now yellow.
Continuity mistake: During the meeting with Mr Burns and his political advisers, there is an adviser in front of the flip chart and you can see it is a blank sheet of paper. But a little later on, the flip chart now has the front sheet on top.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Burns attempts to bribe the Government Inspector in his office, his nameplate is on the door. When Mr Burns shuts the door to leave the Government Inspector alone with the money, his nameplate is gone.
Continuity mistake: When Bart and Lisa are fishing outside Springfield Nuclear Power Plant at the beginning of this episode, you can see there is nothing on the banks behind them. When Dave Shutton approaches them, some rocks have appeared.
