Strangers on the Shore - S9-E2

Other mistake: Boycie asks to sleep in the Trotter's flat after being chucked out of his house and not allowed back in due to a gas leak. He states "I was going to check into a hotel, but I've left everything in the house; wallet, credit card, car keys, the lot... so all I've got is what I'm wearing." He isn't shown to be carrying any luggage. Later in the episode, Raquel complains that Boycie keeps putting on the hair gel that Del added onion puree to at the start of the episode. How was Boycie able to get his hair gel that was in his gas-filled house? One could propose that he asked the firefighters to receive it, but why wouldn't he also ask them to retrieve his wallet/credit card so that he can book into a hotel rather than sleeping on the sofa in the Trotter's overcrowded flat? (00:58:00 - 01:05:00)

The Yellow Peril - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when Del is about to leave the restaurant, the front door has a "Closed for redecoration" sign on it. When the shot changes to the outside, however, the sign is gone.

To Hull and Back - S4-E8

Plot hole: Rodney follows Denzil all the way to Hull. However, it's established that Rodney is a fair distance behind Denzil several miles at least. How is it that Rodney knows exactly where Denzil has gone? He doesn't know Denzil's destination as he says to Del "he must have a load to pick up".

Mother Nature's Son - S7-E10

Continuity mistake: After Rodney tells Del about Miles in the flat, as he says 'I wish I kept my mouth shut now', he sits on the sofa with his arms folded. Almost immediately after, when the shot changes to show Raquel walk in, he is now lounging on the sofa with a newspaper. He couldn't have changed his position that quickly.

From Prussia with Love - S5-E1

Character mistake: Boycie is expecting a boy, but when he finds out it's a girl, him and Del argue. Del then says "I told you it was a girl, but it ain't" He should have said 'boy'. In the script for the episode, it even says 'boy'.

Chris1983

Dates - S5-E9

Continuity mistake: When the police car drives out of the Nag's Head car park after the two police officers arrested Del, you can see that the bonnet of the car is damaged, but when the car arrives at the police station, there is now no damage to the car.

Heroes and Villains - S8-E1

Continuity mistake: The 3 wheel van has a breakdown and pulls up onto a pavement outside a sport shop. Del and Rodney investigate the problem. A few minutes later there is a wideshot of the vehicle, showing it's in the middle of the road, nowhere near a sport shop. (00:39:30 - 00:42:50)

Fatal Extraction - S7-E11

Continuity mistake: When Rodney and Del are coming out of the casino in the morning as they're coming down the stairs they don't have their coats on, in the next scene they do.

The Jolly Boys' Outing - S6-E7

Continuity mistake: Raquel says that she doesn't have any family, except for an estranged brother. However, in the season 8 episode "Time is on our Hands", her parents coming to dinner is a central theme. (00:58:00 - 00:58:30)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: She didn't mean she literally didn't have any family left. During the 1996 specials, she spoke to them for the first time in years, so the lack of contact up until that point means spiritually she didn't have family.

Who's a Pretty Boy? - S3-E7

Other mistake: Del and Denzil have been friends since their school days so when Del says he was once a painter and decorator for a year Denzil should've known he was lying straight away.

Who's a Pretty Boy? - S3-E7

Continuity mistake: When Denzil's wife is in the kitchen slamming pots and pans, above Del and Rodney in the corner, Denzil's speaker, which was upside down, is now the right way up.

May the Force Be with You - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: Rodney brings Roy Slater back to the flat to see Del. When Roy is leaving, he suggests to Del that they should meet up for a drink sometime, and Del says, "We'll see how it goes." At this point, Del is looking down solemnly, but when Roy turns to say that they're all under arrest, Del is smiling, then his smile suddenly drops.

The Unlucky Winner Is... - S6-E4

Revealing mistake: After Rodney berates Del whilst he's in the bathroom of the hotel room he and Cassandra go out to the balcony and Cassandra goes to get him a drink, Del then goes out to join him. Whilst they're talking you can see Cassandra in the reflection of the balcony door waiting for her cue to come in to give Rodney his drink.

Chain Gang - S6-E3

Continuity mistake: When they rush out of the flat to make the exchange, Rodney stays behind, makes a call to Cassie, but then appears outside the restaurant in the van with Albert.

Trigger: Problems, Dave?
Rodney: I don't want to talk about it Trig. You ever been wrongly accused of something?
Trigger: Yeah once.
Rodney: Yeah, How did you get out of it?
Trigger: Well I didn't - I was guilty.

Chosen answer: An apparent long string of illnesses.

Answer: Joan Mavis Trotter (Nee Hollins) was an unseen character in Only Fools And Horses, having died in 1964, 17 years before the series began. She died of an alcohol related illness due to both her sham marriage to Reg Trotter and being hit hard by the death of her secret lover Freddie "The Frog" Robdal.
