Chess Pains - S3-E18

Other mistake: When Frasier sets off the fire alarm Daphne comes running from her bedroom at the end of the hall across from Martin's room and Frasier's room. That is incorrect and impossible since Daphne's Room is on the other end of the condo and separated by the balcony. Given the condo layout, it is impossible for Daphne's bedroom to have a door across from Frasier's bedroom.

A Word to the Wiseguy - S3-E15

Audio problem: Around the time when Niles is talking about "wealthy white women," there is a shot when his mouth is moving but there is no sound coming out. It then suddenly changes to a shot when you can hear what he is saying. (00:02:15)

Frasier Loves Roz - S3-E22

Deliberate mistake: About halfway through the show, Roz and Daphne are in the kitchen talking. Daphne pours water into the teapot - but there is no steam coming from the kettle, nor any sound of a boiling/just boiled kettle. No self-respecting Brit would make tea with water that wasn't boiling.

Sleeping with the Enemy - S3-E6

Continuity mistake: Kate is holding file folders in front of her chest and she asks Roz, "Is there a problem?" she then answers the question herself - "no" - and suddenly she is holding her files over her stomach, with no time to have done this naturally.

Frasier Loves Roz - S3-E22

Continuity mistake: Niles is filming is father in his recliner, trying to record his life story for posterity. Marty fakes a heart attack or death - and lies back in his chair with his left arm by his side. In the next shot his arm is crooked up around his head, but with no time for him to have moved it.

Martin Does It His Way - S3-E3

Continuity mistake: When Martin is sorting through the box of lyrics, the newspaper on his side table keeps switching position between shots - sometimes it is leaning on top of the remote control, others it is laying flat on the table next to the remote.

Leapin' Lizards - S3-E4

Audio problem: Near the start of the show, Frasier is in the booth at KACL, and has told Roz off and is glaring at her through the glass. As the shot shows her face, however, we can see the reflection of Frasier in the glass - he is smiling and his lips are moving as though he is talking. However, there is no audio to match his speech.

The Friend - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: Frasier's new friend Bob pulls away from the table in Cafe Nervosa - his plaid hat is still on the chair next to him. In the next shot the hat is suddenly in Bob's lap, even though he couldn't possibly have put it there in that time.

She's the Boss - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: During the show, Daphne and Martin are having breakfast while talking to Frasier. Daphne removes her blue napkin from her lap at one point, and puts it on the table; a short time later we see her remove it from her lap again.

She's the Boss - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Roz is talking to Frasier, Gil, and Bulldog at KACL and has her hands in front of her, with her mug in her left hand. In the next shot, as she says "everyone at her last station was scared to death of her", her mug is in her hand tucked up under her arm - with no time for her to change positions naturally.

She's the Boss - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Kate is arranging things in her office and has placed a black and white box on her desk. As she is telling Frasier how she wants him to spice up his show, the box changes position by about 45 degrees although no one touches it.

Leapin' Lizards - S3-E4

Continuity mistake: Martin and Daphne are laughing at Eddie who has taken a pill to calm him down - in one shot he has a paw up in the air, but in the next shot both paws are pointing sideways. The shot changes again, and Eddie is back in the first position. He had to time to change naturally.

She's the Boss - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Frasier has left his mug on the table to goes to console Father Mike who has just come out of Kate's office. The next couple of shots of the table show the mug in different positions.

Frasier: Niles, I would shave my head for you.
Niles: A gesture which becomes less significant with each passing year.

Caught in the Act - S11-E15

Trivia: When Nanette tells Frasier she's tired of playing her children's show character, she asks him if he knows what it's like to play the same character for twenty years. By this point, Kelsey Grammer had been playing Frasier for twenty years: eleven on 'Frasier' and nine on 'Cheers'.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
