Corrected entry: When Lt. Col. Stans tries to kill himself by submerging himself in boiling water using the hydrotherapy tub, he sets the gauge to 200 (where it stays). The water boils as planned, but water doesn't boil that low. This takes place in Maryland; assuming an elevation of 3,360 feet, water shouldn't boil until 206°.
Corrected entry: Eddie's ability to shape-shift is attributed to every muscle in his body being striated. While that's a reasonable explanation as to how he can change his face, it doesn't explain how he is able to change his hair. He has short hair and is balding, but when he mimics Mulder, he is able to match Mulder's longer and thicker full head of hair.Serious B
Corrected entry: The CSM wants to publish his book. It is quite odd that he has to submit it to some publishing houses and suffers from being ridiculed. Using his practically infinite power he could publish or just order to publish the story whenever he pleases.
Corrected entry: At the crash site of Flight 549, Scully says "The plane came in nearly vertical at 300 miles per hour." yet the fly-over view of the debris field shows it spread out over hundreds of feet. Unfortunately, on 9/11 we learned when large commercial aircraft crash straight into the ground, they leave massive, smoking holes. First responders at Flight 93 were not even aware they were looking at a crash site.stevewaclo
Corrected entry: After Mulder storms from the cinema at the end, Scully finds him sitting in the messy, deserted graveyard movie set. However, since the movie was premiering, which happens months after filming is completed, it makes no sense that the set would appear as if it was finished with that same day or that week.Purple_Girl
Corrected entry: In this episode, Mulder and Scully are watching a film about them that was shot sixteen months ago. But that would have been sometime in late 1998, when Mulder and Scully were not on the X-Files. But yet they're in Skinner's office at the beginning. If they had shot the film in consistency with the current timeline, (2000) then the film would have been shown in late 2001. But in that time, Mulder was missing and Scully had a newborn. if anything, she would have seen the movie with Doggett. Somebody didn't plan ahead...
Corrected entry: Up to this point in the series, Samantha has been shown by the Smoking Man to Fox. In this episode it appears Fox has completely forgotten the fact that he already saw his sister alive on more than one occasion and appears to back on the belief that she's missing and has accepted the fact that she is dead.
Corrected entry: When we first see Scully, going into the office at the beginning of the episode, we see when she is on her way to the office and when she enters it she is wearing her badge, yet when the shot changes, it is no longer on her, then when she comes out she is wearing it again.

Corrected entry: Mulder takes out spray paint from the trunk. The problem is that the car isn't his but it was rented. It’s not plausible that all the cars in the rent-a-car company were equipped with spray paint. It is also doubtful that Mulder anticipated the paint use and bought it on purpose.
Corrected entry: At the end of the season 1 finale, The Erlenmeyer Flask, CSM is seen placing the alien embryo (pickled in a jar) in a box somewhere deep in the Pentagon's storage facility - yet in season 6's One Son, the embryo is back in the flask, in the freezing solution where Scully found it in the first place.
Corrected entry: The tv-esque footage of the show is supposed to be being recorded as the investigation goes on, it's not pre-recorded or supposed to be airing as we watch, yet there is a perfectly placed 'blur circle' following the face of the prostitute. That kind of thing is generally done when filming is done and being edited for tv; even if for whatever reason they decided to blur her face during filming, the blur point follows her face perfectly despite her flailing and panicking, which is highly unlikely.
Corrected entry: Maleeni and Billy are released from prison at the end, allowed to just walk free even though they have robbed a bank. Mulder says they can't complete their EMT scam without the card with his thumbprint on it but their inability to complete their intended crime wouldn't be grounds enough to let them go; they still robbed the bank and set up the EMT theft.
Corrected entry: In this episode, Scully has a flashback in which she tells Mulder that she's learned she is barren, after which Mulder confesses he knows and the reason is because her ova were removed and stored in a government facility. However, in the earlier episodes 'Christmas Carol' and 'Emily', while appealing to adopt her biological daughter Emily, Mulder tells the appeal guy right in front of Scully that her ova were removed by doctors and she is shocked. If the flashback scene happened before the Emily episodes, she wouldn't have been shocked when Mulder told the appeal guy about the ova removal and if it was after it, she would already know about it because Mulder told her in those episodes. The flashback makes no real sense.
Corrected entry: When we see Tooms working after getting his old job back, he sets his sights on a young blonde woman and begins to walk towards her, just before being interrupted by Mulder. What would he have done? Mulder says himself that Tooms didn't get away with his crimes for 100 years by not being careful, so exactly how would accosting a women in broad daylight with plenty of witnesses made sense?enter_a_uh
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the episode Scully is listening to the tapes from Mulder's hypnosis sessions. She has listened to one side of the tape and turns it over to start on the other side. However when there's a closeup of the tape recorder the tape is halfway through the B-side.
Corrected entry: When Scully calls Mulder the first time, he is watching what sounds like a porn movie in his office. During the conversation, he goes to turn off the TV which shows swarming bees. But you can see both his arms are down. Neither is holding the phone on which he is talking to Scully.
Corrected entry: This episode contradicts the season 2 episode "Apocrypha" where young CSM was seen in the 1950's with Bill Mulder as already a shadowy agent and smoking. This episode has CSM still a young man and not part of the Syndicate in 1963, and does not smoke yet. Also this episode fails to mention anything about the conspiracy with an alien species which is one of the key features about the CSM.
Corrected entry: During the interview with Fellig, Agent Ritter gives the date as January 4th . Since the episode started the day before, it seems harsh for the FBI to be forcing Mulder and Scully (and several other agents) to be doing background checks on the Sunday after New Year's.
Corrected entry: In "Roland," Scully tells Mulder she has two brothers. But in later episodes, such as "Emily," the only brother ever mentioned is Bill. Then, in the episode where Mulder and Fletcher switch bodies, Mulder tries to convince Scully that he's not Fletcher and says "Your mother's name is Margret, your brother's name is Bill, and he hates me." What happened to her other brother?
Corrected entry: In the episode entitled "One Breath," CSM lights a cigarette in Skinner's office, despite a No Smoking sign, and then he puts it out in an ashtray that sits on a coffee table across from Skinner's desk. If Skinner doesn't allow smoking in his office, why does he have an ashtray in his office?
