First Encounters of the Close Kind - S3-E10

Corrected entry: When AJ brings Joey into the Harvard Rare Book And Manuscript Library, he gives her a rare copy of "Little Women". This is the First Volume of the originally published version of "Little Women", and in fact is Louisa May Alcott's own personal copy. So obviously this book is quite valuable. Yet Joey handles the book with her bare hands, albeit carefully. Normally when people handle rare, historic books and papers in a public institute, they are required to use white cotton gloves in order to not damage the materials or get fingerprints, oil etc. on the documents. It wouldn't normally be appropriate for Joey to handle such a rare, valuable publication from a Harvard Library without putting on white cotton gloves first.

Correction: Most ordinary people aren't aware of this. Since Joey is neither a librarian nor working in an archive there is nothing to suggest that she would be aware of this fact.
