Seinfeld

The Understudy - S6-E24

Continuity mistake: In the episode with Bette Midler, she is injured when George tackles her at home plate. When he hits her, she is knocked into somebody. When they show her again, she is sprawled against the backstop with no one behind or even near her that seems to be hurt. George also misses home plate.

The Understudy - S6-E24

Continuity mistake: When Elaine gets kicked out of the nail salon it is a clear day (in fact the whole episode is) then the next scene she meets J Peterman at night and in the rain. When she left the salon she is wearing a red blouse, no jacket. When she meets Peterman she is in a trench coat with a white blouse. The Peterman portion of this episode really makes no sense.

The Soup Nazi - S7-E6

Continuity mistake: In the start of the scene when Kramer tells Elaine that the armoire got stolen. When Elaine walks in from the right side she walks right past the armoire, and it still has the two blue straps on it so it's the same one. The gaffe seems to have been edited out in some versions. The Seven - S7-E13

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Elaine and Kramer are in Newman's apartment to debate who gets the bike, the first shot of Newman shows he inadvertently left his wedding ring on. The shot switches away and then back to Newman and his wedding ring disappears.

The Seven - S7-E13

Continuity mistake: When George is at Susan's cousins' house complaining about them stealing the name Seven, its bright Daylight out. You can tell because the sun is pouring in through the windows. The woman goes into labor and they all get into the car to go to the hospital. At this point it is nighttime. When they finally arrive at the hospital it is broad daylight again.

The Calzone - S7-E20

Continuity mistake: This mistake is in The Calzone episode. Towards the end when George walks in and his boss is looking around for the smell of calzones, George is holding a bag in his hand. In the next shot that shows the back of the boss's head the bag is now on top of a box that George is carrying. When it goes back to a close up the bag is in his hand again.

The Wait Out - S7-E23

Continuity mistake: The scene which George arrives at Beth's apartment in a messy condition to admit his remark was in jest, his shirt's hem and collar change between shots. During this scene, especially when he talks to Jerry on the phone, his collar is up and down; his hem is in and out of his trousers.

The Foundation - S8-E1

Continuity mistake: While Jerry calls George from the coffee shop to tell him about the survey question, there is a shot of the waitresses and staff sitting at the tables. Behind them you can see the booths the gang usually sits at and there is a wall right next to the booth with pictures and pipes. Only problem is there are always booths next to the two near the front entrance. Even in this episode you can see the other booths as there are menus, condiments and napkins at the booths next to the regular booths.

Lummie

The Soul Mate - S8-E2

Continuity mistake: When George is in the boardroom, he places his briefcase on the conference table, and opens it, with the top leaning against a carafe. As George yammers on, the briefcase is closed in a couple of shots, and then open again for the rest of the scene.

Super Grover

The Soul Mate - S8-E2

Continuity mistake: George has constructed a model of the boardroom when his briefcase was destroyed. Jerry thinks George should be represented by the Yellow M&M figure. When the camera shows a close up of the figure, Jerry is holding it in a different position than the far away shots.

The Fatigues - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode, Cynthia is drinking a glass of wine. While speaking near the end of the scene, she is holding the glass in her right hand and says, "You know, guides you in your career path." The next shot is of Jerry and instantly the glass has disappeared from her hand with her right hand resting on the table. You can also see the glass is closer to her left hand now.

Lummie

The Burning - S9-E16

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when Puddy is farewelling Elaine on the street, he is standing on the sidewalk and leaning through the driver's window. The following shot when she pulls out quickly, you can see through the windows of the car that Puddy is nowhere to be seen.

Answer: Composer Jonathan Wolff used a synthesizer, although in seasons 7-9, a real bass is used in addition. Wolff also recorded himself making hundreds of mouth noises, pops, and slaps to add to the synthesized bass licks so that each episode has a different theme. The only real "back-story" is Jerry Seinfeld was having trouble coming up with a theme song and talked to a friend who happened to know Wolff. They wanted to avoid that cheesy late 80's sit-com theme song and Wolff came up with what we enjoy now. Jonathan Wolff has also talked about this further in interviews, recently Reed Dunela interviewed him, so for a fuller account of his story; check out "The Wolff of 116th street".
