Continuity mistake: When Will is sitting on the kitchen counter upset, he is eating butter biscuits from a tin, with the tin and the tins lid on the counter next to him. Then his mum comes in and they talk and at the end of the scene they hug; but now the biscuit tin lid has vanished although nobody touched it.
Continuity mistake: When Jack is trying to hush the audience at his show Jack-Talk after bringing Grace onto the show for a follow-up interview, between shots the little bell on his desk moves from his right (near the edge) to over past his left, near the centre of the desk with all the other items.
Continuity mistake: Shortly after arriving at their mother's house, Will's brother, Sam, nervously excuses himself from a conversation with Grace. "Excuse me," he says, "I have to go get a ladder. There's a couple of bulbs out in front, and now it just says 'Happy Ho-days.'" However, exterior shots of the front of the house show no holiday lights whatsoever.

Continuity mistake: In Will and Grace's apartment, as Jack stands up to announce his news about Beverley, Will and Grace are cutting slices of cake and putting them on plates. In the next wide shot Karen (who is sitting on the sofa, away from them) had a plate with a slice of cake and a napkin, before Grace had even handed Jack any plates!
Continuity mistake: When Karen is sitting with her sister Gin at the table in the bar, throughout the whole scene Gin's black purse and the bar menu she has continually change places. In some shots she holds the menu and the black purse is on the table. In some shots the menu is on the table and the purse is on her lap. And in some shots both items are on the table.
Continuity mistake: When Will pulls down the chart which is recording Grace's pregnancy patterns, he draws a red cross in a box. In the following shots the appearance of the cross keeps changing between two obviously different crosses (from two takes edited together.)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Will and Jack are with George Takei before he goes on Jack-Talk, Will is holding his George doll box. When Jack walks over and says "So listen, George...", Will puts his left hand in his pocket. As Jack continues to say "...now the network asked...", Will now holds the doll box with both hands instantly.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Jack is presenting Jack-Talk and welcomes George Takei, and then Amber-Louise tells him that George got pushed back to tomorrows show, the pencils in the silver pot on Jack's desk continually change their arrangement between each shot.
Continuity mistake: When Grace opens the cardboard box that has the blue blanket in it, the lid on the box repeatedly changes from being at a straight horizontal angle (fully down) to being up and angled diagonally, as if not pushed open all the way to the fold.
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene Grace goes into the kitchen area and unpacks a brown paper bag. When Will goes to use the coffee pot, the brown bag is on the counter behind the kettle. But in the next shot the bag is in a different position, sitting on top of the kettle.
Continuity mistake: When Pam is sitting at her desk letting the phone ring without answering it and throughout the whole scene that follows, the items on her desk continuously change their positions from shot to shot and also the papers on the desk vanish and reappear a few times.
Continuity mistake: When Grace is standing in the wedding dress and Karen is talking to her and complimenting her, there is a long cream-coloured ribbon which is coiled back over her shoulder. Then in the next shot the ribbon is suddenly hanging all the way down her front. In the next shot it is back behind her shoulder.
Continuity mistake: When Grace is talking with James in the hotel lounge, he is sitting at a table which has his magazines and cooking recipes spread all over it. After James says he thinks Grace is a hooker, the spread out magazines/papers are suddenly all in one neat pile in the centre of the table - instantly. Then as the scene continues the papers and magazines continue to shuffle or neaten themselves.
Continuity mistake: At the start when Grace joins Will and Karen at the coffee shop table, she begins to make her coffee. In one shot from behind we see her pick up a wooden stirrer. In the next shot her hand is empty and it has vanished. In the next shot the stirrer reappears in her coffee mug.
Continuity mistake: When Jack joins Karen in the theatre, he places his box of 'Fireballs' on the wooden edge in front of him and the barcoded side faces the camera. In the next shot the box has instantly moved, as now we see the other side with the logo instead.
Continuity mistake: When Grace and Karen are sitting on the carousel seat in the Sound of Music theatre lobby (after Karen said she got a few of her favourite things in the toilet) there is a lady sitting on the seat behind Grace (with a popcorn bucket next to her.) In the next shot as Jack runs over, the lady and her popcorn have both instantly disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Grace and Sam are up in the attic sitting on beanbags and talking across a makeshift table, Grace's champagne glass is placed right in front of her. Yet in one shot the glass moves to the other side of the 'table' and then back to its original place in the very next shot.
Continuity mistake: When Grace sits down at the counter in the kitchen as Karen talks to her, she puts her water bottle down and it's lid is firmly screwed on. In the next shot as she begins to tell Karen about her and Sam's fumble, the lid is off and is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Grace and Sam are in the kitchen with Marilyn, after their fumble in the attic, they are both holding water bottles. In the first shot, as Marilyn begins to say "Well let's look again because I know...", Sam is holding his water bottle at his waist. In the next shot as she finishes, saying "...it's up there", Sam is instantly drinking from the bottle.
Continuity mistake: In one scene as Karen is combing her wig, Jack comes running into the room and as he does, he slides on the large floor rug and causes it to fold up and become wrinkled. In the next wide shot of the room the rug is completely flat and unwrinkled.
Continuity mistake: When Malcolm enters the steam room, joining Jack and Stan, when he walks forward and says to Stan "I'm sure you've heard all about Karen and I", a huge blast of steam engulfs him (drowning out Stan's reply). In the very next shot all the steam has instantly cleared.
Continuity mistake: When Will realizes that Grace is eating one of the meals for the homebound elders, he yells at her as she puts the piece of food she's holding in her mouth. But in the next shot the piece of food has reappeared in her hand, then in the next shot her hand is empty again.
Continuity mistake: When Jack is talking to Will at the kitchen area, as Will says "I'm fine, I guess I was just scared", in the first shot he is shaking a bottle of salad dressing. In the very next shot he is now instantly mixing the salad with a pair of mixing spoons.
Continuity mistake: When Karen is talking to Will at the bar, she is trying to "break down his wall" and starts talking about his relationships. In one shot an extra drink appears on the bar (whisky?), sitting on a red napkin and in the next shot it's disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Jack is stuck for a special guest on his show Jack-Talk, he surprisingly introduces Grace to be his guest. As she turns around on the sofa and sits down, there is a yellow and brown cushion on the sofa sitting to her right. But in the next close shot of her, it is under her arms as she leans on it. In the next shot the cushion is to her right, sitting on the sofa again. Then as the scene continues, the position of all the cushions on the sofa surrounding Grace keeps on changing!
Continuity mistake: Near the start when Will, Grace and Jack are talking about the new swimming pool, Will starts to peel an orange. In the first shot he peels some of the skin off and drops it on the table. In the next shot there is no peel on the table and he is still peeling it. As the scene goes on, the pile of orange peel on the table that he leaves, keeps changing position.
