Better Than Life - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: When Rimmer is standing on the beach and conjures up the green car you can see the wheels are partly in the sand. When he then gets into the car, tyre tracks are visible behind it. When he starts driving off, the tyre marks are now gone. (00:18:25)

Kryten - S2-E1

Visible crew/equipment: When the crew are in their sleeping quarters, and Rimmer is talking to the others, a blue boom mic can be seen hovering over his head (you can see this if you watch the dvd on your pc, as some tv's can cut off the edge of the picture) (00:03:10)

Stasis Leak - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Lister walks through the Stasis Leak for the first time, his hands are up by his face and his locks are in front of his shoulders. In the next shot from the mirror, his arms are lowered and his locks are only over his right shoulder. (00:09:30)

Kryten - S2-E1

Revealing mistake: When the crew board the Nova 5, Rimmer's shoulder brushes against a hanging plant which moves very slightly. As he is a hologram this would be impossible. (00:17:30)

Dwarf

Season 2 generally

Continuity mistake: Lister and Rimmer's bunk room looks exactly the same in the flashback scenes during this series as it does in the present time. In the first series it looked completely different, so surely the look should have changed slightly for the flashback scenes?

Better Than Life - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: As the crew enter the game, Lister pushes the door to the beach open. However in the next shot, the door is opening from the other side, i.e. Lister is pulling the door. (00:16:10)

Meltdown - S4-E6

Trivia: "Meltdown" was originally planned to be the first episode of Series IV of Red Dwarf. However, the militaristic tone of this episode - and in particular Dave Lister's strident anti-war speech near The End of the episode - meant it fell foul of the BBC censors. The original planned transmission date (Feb 14 1991) coincided with the outbreak of "Operation Desert Storm" - the Gulf War...and the BBC felt that an "anti-war" episode of Red Dwarf would be inappropriate for a country at war with Iraq.
