Star Trek: The Next Generation

Correction: Mistakes like these have already been entered and corrected. The holodeck uses transporter technology with replicators to generating actual matter in some instances, as well as projecting force fields to give the objects the illusion of substance. It's most likely food that is eaten in the holodeck is replicated matter and in this case, the water was also replicated matter and thus physically real, even after leaving the holodeck.

Encounter at Farpoint (1) - S1-E1

Corrected entry: After the crew has separated the saucer section from the main section, we see the senior staff waiting on the bridge for the encounter with Q. Yet, on all the Enterprise blueprints and schematics, the main bridge is on the top of the saucer section. How can the crew let the saucer section go, wait on the war segment, and still be on the main bridge awaiting Q.

Correction: They are not on the main bridge anymore, they are on The Battle bridge in the lower section.

Correction: Riker not only says that he reviewed the logs; he is also seen actively doing so on orders from the Captain. But more importantly, he never states that he was unaware that Troi was on board, he merely pauses and stares at her when they meet. This is because Riker and Troi have a romantic history together, so it is natural for him to have an emotional reaction when they meet again. To say that Riker was unaware of Troi's presence is an assumption, nothing more.

Twotall

Correction: While it is true that the computer said right rather than left, Riker turned around in the intersection facing the way he came, so the hatch was on his right. It seems thought the computer gave directions a beat before he turned, but the result is the same.

Movie Nut

The result may be the same, but the original entry is (I should use another word maybe) right. As the correction itself says, the computer says the word "Right", and does it while Riker is walking down the corridor. There is no way it would predict that Riker then would stop after the instruction has been issued and face another direction, and at the point where he stops, the hatchway is not directly to his right, but rather behind him so he has to turn, walk a few steps, still to his left. Sure turning 270° right can produce the same result as turning 90° left, but I wouldn't say is correct.

The Best of Both Worlds (2) - S4-E1

Factual error: Shelby announces the Borg have entered Sector 001, and we get an exterior shot of the Borg ship flying past Saturn. The problem is that the Borg are approaching from the side of the planet illuminated by the sun, meaning they would actually be moving AWAY from Earth rather than toward it.

Skin of Evil - S1-E23

Question: Near the end when they are in the holodeck for the memorial ceremony for Lt. Yar, Dr. Crusher's uniform is green and seconds later it is blue. After watching it several times, it does not appear to be a trick of the light. What happened here? Why would she have on a green uniform in the first place?

con8iv

Chosen answer: The uniform does indeed change colour. It may be due to the need for a green screen in part, or perhaps some lighting altering our perception. That being said, it certainly looks green at the start, blue thereafter.

The show has been done in HD now and not sure if they fix this problem.
