If Jane Saunders receives \$10,000 from her father every month why would she need to work at a library to make her way through college?

Correction: It's never said that she must work there for money. It could very well be related to one of her classes, or maybe she just likes it enough that that's how she wants to spend her free time.

Season Five, 6th episode. When Audrey is named Jack's contact person there is a shot of her where she isn't wearing glasses. There is a brief shot of Buchannan and McGill leaving the room and then another shot of Audrey. All of a sudden she is wearing glasses. She could not have gotten them out and put them on in the very short shot of the two men leaving the room.

Correction: Audrey picks up her glasses with her right hand as they are leaving. Look carefully.

The head scientist tells Tony that they need Jack's organs to reconstitute that pathogen since there is not enough of it in the sample. Assuming it's a virus, even a small sample could easily be grown in the lab to yield large amounts of the virus. Assuming it's a prion, they don't even need a sample since the could simply build it again from scratch so long as they knew the protein sequence (which is a likely assumption). In either case, Jack is unnecessary.

yoni

Correction: This is your assumption and is not a mistake of the show.

When Tony's henchmen isolate the pathogen from Jack's spinal fluid, the head scientist says the viral load is higher than hoped for, explicitly stating for the first time that the pathogen is a virus. This is in contrast to everyone else referring to it as a prion up till this point.

yoni

Correction: They may have very well believed it to be a prion up to this point. making there previose statments valid. no error.

The head scientist tells Tony that the only sure way to destroy the pathogen is to expose it to temperatures around 500 degrees celsius. Surgical and lab equipment are sterilized at 120 degrees celsius under the (legitimate) assumption that nothing survives this temperature. Prions and viruses, both mostly protein, would have fallen apart by this temperature.

yoni

Correction: This is your assumption that it can't survive at 120 degrees. It may very well be able to. Mutations occure all the time.

Not only does Edgar knows Chloe's high-level access code - he says it aloud to Spencer. And to top it all off, you can read this code on the screen - without any asterisks .

00:21:55

Correction: The code was to access a server file - it wasnt chloes private password - since edgar had hgh enough clearence, he would know the code too.

kmurp07

Season five, second episode. When they zoom in on Palmer's hand it has no scars even though it was scarred throughout seasons three and four.

Correction: It *does* show his scars - that's why they zoom in on his hand in the first place.

Jack is not able to shoot Kingsley himself as he has no bullets left in the gun. But Kingsley doesn't know this so why on earth does he simply keep walking at a snails pace while Jack picks up what could be a loaded gun? Even when Jack aims it at him he doesn't think it might be a good idea to move. This is simple logic and goes way beyond a character mistake.

Correction: It isn't apparent to Kingsley that Jack is reaching for the gun as he doesn't even know it's there. He is a fair distance away and to him it just looks like weakened Jack is simply trying to crawl away. As soon as Jack raises the gun into view, it is a fraction of a second before he pulls the trigger. Kingsley DOES NOT have the amount of reaction time the wording of this mistake implies.

When Jack is being tortured he is supposed to be naked. Numerous times in these scenes you can see his black boxers.

Matty W

Correction: Who said Jack was suppose to be naked? It seems to me his tormentors took off his shirt and pants to expose some skin so they can inflict damage to them. Nowhere is there a code of ethics that says a torturer has to strip his victim totally naked.

SAZOO1975

When the couple is in the plant they call Jack on the cellphone, he instructs them to open the case and separate the book from the activation device. This was stupid, he should have told them to destroy it, since the codes had changed the moment Airforce one crashed, and it would take about 1 hour to make this work. This is explained later on in the show.

Correction: Stupidity is not a mistake by the standards of this site.

When Mandy is talking to Tony in the apartment she says that two years ago he risked Michelle's life (in season 3). Three years seperated seasons 2 & 3 making this five years since season 2. However when Aaron is talking to the president in the next episode he mentions the attack on his life took place four years ago.

Correction: The season timeline is NOT wrong. Aaron said "four and a half years ago". The time difference between season 3 & 4 is 18 months, Series 3 takes place in september, placing Series 4 in march two years later.

Janet would have been in surgery for several hours, instead of just 40 minutes or so.

Correction: Speculation. There's no way to tell how long she should have been in surgery.

tw_stuart

When Gaines is calling Jack, he uses a headset. Jack wants to talk with Kimberly, Gains holds the micro in front of Kimberley's mouth, but he didn't give her the earpiece. How could she be able to hear Jacks question if she is fine?

Bjoern_Buller

Correction: The earpiece is very close, apparently close enough for her to hear the question.

tw_stuart

In the scene where Jack Bauer is at the medical station giving the gun to the photographer, as the photographer leaves, Jack pulls a gun and holds it to the photographer's head. He cocks the gun manually, but when going to decock it, instead of pressing the decock lever, he pulls the trigger and eases the hammer down. A gun expert such as Jack would know about the decock lever, and not make that mistake.

Correction: He achieved his goal and it's pure speculation about whether he did it in the 'correct' way or not.

Audrey Raines tells Jack she was in River Hotel with Walt Cummings just after he got divorced. But when he committed suicide, they invited his wife.

Correction: Walt was separated from his wife when he met Audrey at the River Hotel. He was still legally married to Suzanne.

In series one, there is a scene where Jack is changing his shirt in his office, there are some very visible Japanese symbol style tattoos on his biceps. In series two, when we next see Jack's bare arms (when he is being tortured) the tattoos are no longer there.

Kara

Correction: I haven't seen the episode where you believe that tattoos have disappeared, but I do recall the tattoos. All the tattoos visible on Jack in any episode of 24 are Kiefer Sutherland's actual tattoos so they will be there from one season to the next. Even the tattoo Jack has in season three (identical to Hector's) is an actual tattoo Kiefer has. He had it done for the show because he wanted it to look consistant.

In season 2, episode 22 (5:00-6:00 am), Kim drops the phone in order to shoot Matheson, then she picks it up again. Then Jack tells Kim to shoot him again, so she drops the phone first, shoots him, and when she picks the phone up for the second time it is upside down. Kim was talking in to the earpiece.

Correction: Kate just killed a man for the first time, she's not going to worry about how she's holding the phone. It's still possible to hear/talk to someone with the phone upside down and she's too much in shock to realize it's upside down or to even care to fix it.

Eli asks Rick, "Who was that guy I talked to? It was her father, wasn't it?" In the previous episode, Jack says, "I'm the last thing you will ever see if anything happens to my wife or my daughter." You'd think Eli would have registered what Jack said.

Correction: Eli not registering what Jack said or putting those two things together is only because of his own stupidity. Character flaws are not plot holes.

On the roof Walsh guesses that he and Jack are surrounded by two shooters at least - but they are standing upright at the edge of the roof for seconds. Shouldn't they duck for cover?

00:20:25

Correction: Walsh was referring to inside the building. They met on the roof because it would be safe because the "two" shooters were inside. So they didn't need to worry about ducking for cover; until they stepped back in that is.

Season 3 generally

In the first half of the season it takes only minutes to determine whether or not someone is infected with the virus. When Michelle is at the hotel it takes three hours.

Correction: They were checking only a couple people on the spot. At the hotel they were checking hundreds of people and had to send the material away to a lab. Travel time accounts for a lot of the extra time.

Chloe tells Kim that she's known and worked with Chase for three years, and we know from Chase's history that at least the past 12 months were at CTU. Now if Chloe had worked there for a year wouldn't people know that she did not have a baby daughter?

Correction: She worked with Chase for 3 years at CTU Washington D.C. She didn't necessarily mean the past three years.

Nick N.

Show generally

Season Five, episode 12: Chloe confirms that all rooms have been sealed off, yet in the following shot we see Henderson (and I think Tony as well) being rolled into their room which has yet to be sealed.

Correction: No, the rooms that were sealed off were the Situation Room, the Holding Cell (Where Lynn and the guard were), the room where Bill was, and CTU Medical. CTU Medical has several rooms, Tony being in one and Henderson in another.

Dandude776

Julia tells Wayne that the police are on their way over to arrest her. Since when does the police call people and tell them they are coming over to arrest them?

Correction: They haven't called her, she figured it out on her own.

Show generally

Season 4 and Season 5 are set 18 months apart (a year and a half). It is summer in Season 4, which indicates it will be Winter in Season 5, but it is still the Summer.

Correction: The show takes place in Los Angeles. It is winter right now, and it's been very sunny during this time. We've only had rain two times this year, and it's been around 60ºF and above, up to almost 80ºF.

Jane Doe

At about 6:10 or 6:11, after Teri gets out of "Alan"'s car and runs up the hill, Alan pulls the keys out and opens the door while the car is still beeping. The beeping should have stopped when he took the keys out of the ignition.

Dandude776 1

Correction: The beeping doesn't start when he pulls out the keys, but when he openes the door. When he closes it, the beeping stops. This means it is the warning that the lights aren't turned off.

Ronnie Bischof

Audrey came to CTU after Chloe had been let go. Yet in this episode they both know each other by their first names.

Correction: Audrey is the Secretary of Defence's daughter and they may have come across each other in the time before the 4th day starts. This could explain how they know each others first name. We just don't know it.

Ronnie Bischof

When Jack enters the hospital he speaks to an officer. The officer tells him there's been a shooting. After this conversation Jack calls Tony, telling him Navi killed his wife's brother. How does he know the killed person was Dina's brother?

Correction: Dina told Jack that Behrooz was at the hospital earlier in the episode, and informed him that her brother had worked there.

In the opening summary Jack is shown telling Audrey that "It happened so fast, [Paul] was hit before I had a chance to react" in the episode before. We saw their whole conversation in that episode and this line was never spoken.

Correction: The "Previously On 24" opening segments frequently use footage that was not actually seen on-screen during an episode. It's usually of things that happened during the commercial break or when some other location or event was on-screen.

From the time Michelle calls Chloe till Chloe shows up at CTU with changed clothes and fresh make-up only seven minutes pass on the show. That wouldn't be possible even if she lived next door.

Correction: Actually, many women can change clothes and do make-up in remarkably fast time, especially at times of great crisis, in which this would apply. It was previously established that Chloe does live close and is a highly dedicated and loyal employee making this is indeed possible.

OneHappyHusky

Airforce One was chased and shot down by an F-117A stealth bomber by a disgruntled marine aiding the terrorists. The F-117 is not a stealth fighter. It carries Air-ground missiles and air-ground bombs but it cannot be modified to carry air-air missiles due to its down looking radar (which is probably why no missile type was named specifically).

Correction: I am a pilot in the Air Force and I know for a fact that an F-117A is a stealth fighter, and is absolutely capable of launching air-to-air missiles.

In the first series, the terrorists give Jack a telephone and ask him to kill the senator before they'll tell him where Kim is. They tell him they'll ring that phone at exactly 10:45pm. When Jack gets to the senators suites it's around 10:20pm, the terrorists telephone shortly after he arrives. For all they know he could still be en route to the hotel so why were they so quick off the mark?

Kara

Correction: It's actually about 10:30 or so. And the Drazens know Jack, and they know he'll do anything to save Kim, so they're certain that Jack will be with Palmer when they call.

Show generally

When the series was shown on the U.K., all references that "events occur in real-time" were omitted, as the BBC does not have adverts during or between programs. The only exceptions are the first few episodes of series 1 (probably because no-one realised it wasn't accurate), and the first episode of series 2, shown without adverts in the US and hence a full real-time hour in both countries.

megamii

Correction: Not quite true. Although the first episode of season two in the USA was shown without commercial interruption, there were long Ford ads before AND after the episode and a promo for "John Doe" and scenes for the next episode making it 51:43. A shorter version shown in reruns is 43:56. See http://www.tv.com/24/day-2-800-a.m.-900-a.m./episode/161143/trivia.html

The last thing we saw at the end of the previous episode was Jack knocking out the terrorist suspect, who was tied up in the van outside CTU, before the clock ticked to 1am. At the beginning of this episode, which supposedly picks up the instant the previous one ends, the terrorist is in CTU medical receiving treatment. and he's fully conscious.

Correction: At least 2 minutes passes between the end of an episode and the start of the next one, every time. More then enough time passed to allow the changes you described to happen.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Marwan's hi-tech gadget which he uses to track the path of his missile (the 'interface' of which CTU later reads to locate said rocket) is quite obviously a Nokia 7710. I don't remember seeing 'Nuclear Warhead Locator' listed in the special features of this model.

Chimera

Correction: Like all new Nokia mobiles, one of key features of the 7710 is that it is Java enabled. This means any Java application can be programmed and loaded onto the phone. It is very possible one of Marwan's men programmed a tracking program for that phone.

XIII

If the movie Air Force One can be a guide, it was impossible for Mitch Anderson to shoot down the president's plane this easily. Air Force One has countermeasures to elude missiles targeting it and this is now shown in the show. Also, once the President found out about the imminent attack on Air Force One he would have been escorted to his escape pod.

Correction: The movie Air Force One is not a good guide. It has been stated many times that the plane does not have an escape pod in real life.

Soylent Purple

Michelle and her staff sealed the hotel to keep the virus inside. But when the angry guest smashes the door to get out (so Michelle has to shoot him) no-one acts to seal the broken door.

00:59:00

Correction: Viruses are very fragile and the reason the hotel was contained was not to keep the virus itself in but to keep all the guests in. They seal it off camera, though, to keep the guests from trying to escape that way.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Jack flies by helicopter to meet Joseph Wald's crew accompanied by Michelle. A few moments after he is dropped off by the helicopter he calls CTU. Miraculously Michelle has already arrived back at CTU and is working on her computer.

Correction: After the helicopter drops him off, Jack calls CTU and talks to Mason. Michelle doesn't appear at all during this conversation. Michelle does appear later when George heads down to the main floor; it's possible that she returned to the office during George's conversation with Jack.

Season 4 generally

Throughout this show, it is apparently possible to drive between any two locations in the Los Angeles area within half an hour. It takes Jack approximately half an hour to drive from the downtown train station where he sees Khalil lead Andrew away to isolated areas that seem to be at the edge of the city (we hear it is Ventura County). Even if the streets were empty, the Los Angeles area is large enough that this would not be possible in real life.

Correction: The producers always made a huge point about being accurate about distances and time, and it is doubtful that they dropped this for season 4. The trainstation in question is not the central city's central station, but one of the suburbs.

Season 4 generally

It is not clear what time during the year this particular day takes places. It is a weekday, which we know the office in which Jack secures the override device from Habib is filled with workers. However, neither Behrooz nor Debbie go to school. It cannot be summertime because the sun sets before 7PM which is not realistic. At the same time, there is a school bus in the scene where Jack is following the terrorist Khalil toward the location where Heller and Audrey are being held hostage. If its during spring or winter break the bus would not be there.

Correction: Private schools and public schools can have spring break on different dates. And school buses can be used for organized trips, not necessarily on days when school is in session. There is not enough in this submission to justify that a mistake was made.

K.C. Sierra

Why is the subway running when Palmer has ordered all public transportation to be shut down?

Correction: Jack said that he didn't want the subway trains to be shut down because that would tip Arthur Rabens off.

Chappelle is married (notice the ring), so why would he say he has no family?

Correction: He might be keeping the ring on even though his wife may be dead or have left him, or he didn't want to burden Jack with any kind of guilt.

XIII

When Kate exits the mosque after identifying Syed Ali, she runs into Jack who promptly calls her Marie.

Correction: No, he actually says 'It's me, it's Jack, you're all right'

Chimera

When Gary meets Kim in the hospital his clothes are completely unblemished despite the fact that only one hour previously he had murdered his wife quite brutally and dumped her body in the trunk of his car.

Correction: He could have worn other clothes when he killed her.

Before Frank arrives, Kim asks Rick if she can borrow his car. But, as revealed in the pilot, Kim doesn't even have her license yet, and California law requires anyone with a learner's permit to have a licensed driver over the age of 25 with them.

Correction: Do you really think that after everything she's been going through, plus on the edge of a drug deal she wants no part of, is worried about having a driver over 25 with her?

In the second season's 12.00-1.00 a.m. episode, right at the start of the show, we see Kim Bauer being held by the neck from behind by the gun-totting Garcia in the liquor store as the police were closing in. The next scene we see her on the floor holding a piece of cloth against the storeowner's belly wound.

Correction: The scene which Garcia holds a gun to Kim's neck is displayed as part of the "Previously on 24" montage. The first scene of the actual episode is where Kim has been presumably released by Garcia to help the storeowner.

In the 3am-4am episode (series 2), at about 3:10am the guys pick up Kate and head to her house. They arrive at the house at 3:44am, the same time as Jack leaves Yusaf. However, Jack arrives at Kate's house before the end of the episode, meaning he managed the drive in less than half the time of the other people.

Correction: Jack was probably driving very rashly, even by "Jack standards" (for example, in Season 1, you saw him run a red light after Richard Walsh was killed). And you have to remember that he's racing against the clock, and he needs the chip so that, before the U.S. bombers begin dropping bombs, he can prove to Palmer that the three nations the U.S. is planning to retaliate against are innocent.

Palmer's attorney tells Mike that he found a record of phone calls from Peter Kingsley to Jonathon Wallace, as recently as six hours ago. This means that the last call would have been made at about 1:04 am, just as Wallace was in a major shoot-out and had no way to talk on the phone.

Correction: He didn't mean exactly six hours ago, he meant approximately six hours ago - the phone call could have been made off-screen at some point around that time, but obviously not while Wallace was actually in the shootout.

Tony is discharged from the hospital and back at CTU in under 20 minutes, this is far faster than it could possibly in real life, considering CTU is at least 15 minutes drive away. It takes a long time to check out of hospital - forms to sign and so on.

Shay

Correction: Seeing how he is the director of CTU. I'm sure he has special previleges. Besides, his wife would have given verbal approval to have him check out ASAP and maybe sign forms later.

XIII

After the clock display shows 04:40:57, the scene opens with a shot of Palmer's son, Keith, sleeping in his bed. The clock on the bedside table shows the time as 4:57.

Correction: My alarm clock is 15 minutes ahead, so that I won't snooze for too long. Keith's alarm clock might be ahead as well.

Jack is on the phone with his wife and daughter, while CTU listens and tries to trace the call. When Eli enters the room where the women are being held, Jack tells CTU to mute the line so Eli can't hear them. When Eli finds the phone, he asks "who is this?". Jack responds with a threat that scares Eli into hanging up the phone. If the phone was muted, Eli shouldn't have been able to hear Jack.

Correction: As we find out later, Nina is in fact Yelena and is working for them, so she might not have muted the phone for the sole purpose of Eli finding it.

At the end of Season Two, we see President Palmer reacting to the poison in his hand. Why did the Secret Service let Palmer fall to the ground and instead started pulling their guns out while no shots were fired? Why didn't they shove him inside the limousine to take him to the nearest hospital, isn't it protocol to know every local hospital as part of route planning? Why wasn't there a full medical complement as part of the presidential entourage?

Correction: How should the Secret Service know that there haven't been shots? In the few seconds, when David Palmer is falling down, nobody (except the audience) knows whether he was shot or something else happened. After all, there is something called "silencer". In addition, the deleted scenes on DVD show that Palmer was supposed to get up shortly after he fell down and is able to step into his car, telling everyone to be allright; this wasn't shown in the aired version of the series, but it seems to be the reason that nobody provided medical supply.

Show generally

In the "1pm - 2pm" episode of Season Three, Jack and Chase arrive at the prison where Salazar is being held. Jack is scanned by security and his profile is displayed on a monitor indicating he has been cleared by security. The picture in the profile shows Jack wearing the exact same clothes that he has on now. The producers of the show probably took this picture while the episode was being filmed and used it as his profile.

Correction: It is probably just an unlikely if possible coincidence that he is wearing the same outfit when he is checked by security that he wore when his profile was updated. Most people don't discard their clothes after wearing them once.

Not a mistake as such, just nasty on Mason's part. Jack's flying the plane on a suicide mission, and has a heart-wrenching final talk with Kim where he explains what's about to happen. Only AFTER that phonecall's finished does Mason pop out of the back of the plane and tell Jack to save himself. Seems a bit weird that he was sitting in the back chuckling to himself the whole time Jack was telling his daughter that he was about to die.

Jon Sandys

Correction: It's possible that Mason passed out during the flight and wasn't awake when Jack had his conversation with Kim. This makes sense since Mason isn't heard coughing again until after he shows himself on the plane. Jack is afraid to let Mason fly the plane because he might pass out again.

In the second series in the 5.00 - 6.00 AM episode where Kim is walking around in the house, she looks out of one of the windows, where she sees the dead police officer. It was Gary Matheson who shot the police officer, but you don't hear any sound of a shot, and in the next scenes where Kim is shooting Gary there is no silencer on the gun.

don_corleone

Correction: Gary Matheson did not kill the police officer by shooting him. He didn't even have a gun on him that time. The gun that Kim used to shoot Gary was the gun that Gary took from the officer after killing him. Notice earlier that Gary entered the house with the dead officer's gun-belt.

How did Marie get into the building with a gun without the alarm going off on her?

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Since her Dad owns the company and building, it is likely that Marie is known by the security staff so the probably wouldn't bother to check her.

Mason was coughing like crazy all the time after exposure to plutonium. Yet when he is hiding on the plane from Jack he is up there a good ten minutes and doesnt cough once.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: The main reason for not allowing Mason to fly the plane himself was that he might pass out, so it is possible that Mason wasn't conscious throughout the whole flight.

Kara

When Kate leaves the Mosque, Jack grabs her and his watch is visible. It indicates 6:39 when the 24 clock says it is 6:30. His watch cannot be 9 minutes slow as he later states the correct time.

Correction: His watch isn't 9 minutes slow, it's 9 minutes fast. Many people set their watches slightly fast to help them arrive on time, yet they know to subtract the extra minutes when telling someone else the time. Jack may set his about 10 mins fast, and as he wasn't on active duty at the beginning of the day, wasn't bothered about synchronising his watch too accurately.

umathegreatstationarybear

In the 7:00PM - 8:00PM episode, Tony goes to Jack's house to rescue Jack's wife. He arrives 5 minutes after a scene where he is seen talking to Mason at CTU. In the first episode Jack calls CTU from his cell phone saying that he is en route and gives his ETA as 20 minutes. This is also confirmed in the 8:00PM - 9:00PM episode where Tony calls CTU and tells them that he has Jack's wife and is enroute back to CTU, and should arrive in 20 minutes.

Correction: Despite the estimate, he arrives at CTU less than 5 minutes after leaving his house.

In this episode we find out Nina is the mole but in one of the first episodes, the kidnappers ordered Jack to shoot Nina, which he did, though unbeknownst to them, he had previously put a bullet-proof vest on her. If she was their insider, why would they order her shot?

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: There were two moles inside CTU - Jamey Farrell and Nina Myers. It was Jamey who worked for Gaines (in the first half the season), whereas Nina worked for the Drazens directly. Gaines (who ordered Nina to be shot) had no idea that she was also an insider. It's doubtful that Drazen would reveal their 'contacts' identities to anyone - even Gaines.

Chimera

Show generally

In the episode in which the climax is the discovery of the woman's body in the boot of the car, you can see that Kim and her boyfriend have been lain down on the dust by the cop and Megan is leaning out of the car door crying, then we cut to the three second count door. Then at the very beginning of the next episode, supposedly three seconds after that layout, suddenly Kim and her boyfriend have been moved to two separate cars and the cop who had them at gunpoint is kneeling down talking to Megan, who has also jumped into a police car.

Correction: There is a three second count down at the end of every episode. However, the next episode (in this case, it starts at 3pm, I think) actually starts where the 24 logo flashes up on screen and continues past the "previously on 24" part. The part where Kim, Miguel and Megan are in the cop car is actually about 2 minutes into that episode... plenty of time to move around as shown.

In the episode "1A.M.-2A.M." Jack gives Yussuf the chip and tells him and Kate to take it to a specific meeting place and wait fifteen minutes for him before going to CTU. Jack is then caught and tortured to the point of death for about an hour. However, when he escapes, he goes to meet Kate and Yussuf. If they were following his instructions they'd have left well before then.

Correction: He was just taking a chance. And it paid off, too.

How does the assassin at the end of the second series, know where David Palmer will be? The mystery man who orders the attack seems to suggest that it is a pre-planned move, but Palmer only flew to Los Angeles after the bomb went off - and did not make any press statements after that, before he was impounded so the public would be unaware that Palmer was in LA. Furthermore, since the man in charge knew a bomb was going to go off, why would he leave the agent for his back-up plan, inside Los Angeles?

Correction: If 24 has shown us anything, it's that no-one is to be trusted. It's possible that the assassin and their employer were informed by another insider within the President's staff. If nothing else, the President's movements can't have been that secret, otherwise where did all those well-wishers come from?

Between 7:00a.m. and 8:00a.m., Nina and Tony use a room in CTU headquarters which they both agree does not have cameras in it. They use this room to interrogate Jamie about her involvement with Ira Gaines. However, when Jack is racing back to CTU between 11:00p.m. and midnight, he tracks down the camera footage from the room, even though it had none there in the first place.

Correction: Nina does indeed know there is a camera present. It is stated that the tape was deleted (presumably by her) and she is even seen looking up at it. Jack needs his code to access the back-up copy, which wasn't deleted.

Season 1 generally

The fact that Nina was a double agent brings up a lot of inconsistencies. Like why would she pressure Jack about the keycard if she was in on it with Gaines? And Why did she reveal Jamey as the dirty agent if she recruited her in the first place? Also why did Gaines order Jack to kill Nina if if they were working together?

Correction: I don't think Nina was involved with Gaines, or at least, Gaines didn't have any knowledge of Nina's involvement with Drazen. I think Nina would only be called upon if Drazen thought it was necessary. He probably made it clear to Nina to act as she would normally, unless she was required to do something for them. And, there was no proof put forward in the series that Nina recruited Jamey. But, even if she did, it would be the perfect motive to kill her.
