The agony and the 'ex'tasy - S4-E1
Plot hole: In the closing scene in Big's car, he asks Carrie how her birthday was, then says, "So how old are you?" She replies, "How old are you?" And they coyly don't reveal their "age box." But they have known each other for 3 years/seasons at this point - dated on/off for 2 years, had an affair, and are just friends now. There is no way they wouldn't know each other's ages. This exchange only existed to benefit the plot of this episode - it makes no sense given how long they've known each other.
Visible crew/equipment: When Carrie crosses the street with Miranda after Miranda's sonogram, she turns while talking and a mic pack is visible half in the waistband of her dress.
Anchors away - S5-E1
Continuity mistake: When the cop tells Sam not to stick bills on lamp posts, the first shot shows the bills crumpled and messily stuck. A shot later they're neatly placed. Then yet another shot later their position changes for a third time.
Revealing mistake: When Aidan and Carrie shower, some sort of screen or towel briefly appears by their waists to add for some privacy and avoid their private body parts (or any garment covering them) being exposed.
The man, the myth, the viagra - S2-E8
Visible crew/equipment: When Samantha is having diner with Ed and she is about to discover what present is under the plate dome, a boom mic is reflected on the silver.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie arrives backstage at the fashion show, she's wearing a black dress with a long jewelled necklace that is wrapped once around her neck and hanging down on both sides of her chest, like a scarf. When the fashion show starts, the necklace strands are tied together in a big knot/wrapped around her neck more. Then, when she's about to get in a cab home, they are untied/hanging down again.
The post-it always sticks twice - S6-E7
Continuity mistake: If you check the Post-it note on the previous episode and this one's, it is not the same note. It's very similar, but the "t" in "Can't" is different, the apostrophe in "I'm" is within the word then above it, and other small differences.
Other mistake: When the girls are at a restaurant right after Carrie leaves the Hamptons, Charlotte picks up her glass and puts her mouth on the straw as if she's drinking, but the liquid in the glass doesn't budge.
Audio problem: When Samantha reveals her spanx, there is the clear voice of a man (crew) saying something inaudible. (00:11:30)
Anchors away - S5-E1
Continuity mistake: Miranda's hair cut and color changes in this episode. When they see the sailors on the street, her hair is very red and straight, but when she goes home to Steve and the baby nurse, her hair is a softer red and styled more inward towards her face.
I heart ny - S4-E18
Continuity mistake: When Carrie walks into Miranda's delivery room, we see a shot of her from the back, and she's stopped walking, but then the very next second we see her walking into the room again.
An american girl in paris (part une) - S6-E19
Continuity mistake: When Alek gives Carrie the super necklace in a box, her right hand has 4 fingers on the lid or just 2, depending on the shot. (00:29:06)
Continuity mistake: When Big puts his suitcase on the bed, Carrie's left arm grabs a mug to the left of her leg. A shot later it's between both legs.
Continuity mistake: The splattered burger on the painting changes positions between shots.
Continuity mistake: Near the start Miranda opens a book. A second later, from a different angle, she opens it again. (00:05:58)
Continuity mistake: When Miranda is on the street looking for books and meets the reader, the passers-by behind are not continuous. Check the man in a plaid blue shirt.
Continuity mistake: Carrie takes out 2 french fry containers. Then from the opposite angle she takes out one more, but from a wide angle there are only two containers on the counter. (00:19:15)
Continuity mistake: When Carrie is given the phone card her left arm swaps from raised to lowered between shots.
Continuity mistake: Miranda says "you've got an obvious pattern" and raises her arm to eat a cookie. From the opposite angle the arm is lowered. (00:04:52)
Continuity mistake: Sam's arm is lowered, but a second later it's raised and she's eating a cookie. (00:05:06)
