Corrected entry: When Phoebe goes to visit her birth mother in Montauk, her mom says "I wish someone would've been there to tell me how terrible it is to give up babies". The scene cuts to a shot of Phoebe holding the puppy, revealing a side view of a stand-in, not the actress playing her mom.
Corrected entry: The first version of Central Perk's logo, seen from season 1, presents a perspective error on the right top corner of the left cup of coffee. Some seasons later, the logo receives a tiny correction in the same area, that makes the perspective "OK" to the eye. The cup line straightens up, and the steam is brought a little closer to the ribbon containing the name.Gui Petrini
Corrected entry: When Joey and Chandler are ordering a pizza they tell the pizza place to send the food to apartment 20 which is Monica and Rachel's apartment but it is clear that Monica isn't home because she is catering and Rachel is on her date with Ross, so how do they get the pizza.
Corrected entry: Phoebe shows Ross' invitation to everyone, stating "Ross let Ben address mine." The envelope has poor kid like handwriting. The address is a 4 line address and the invitation also has stamps on it. When the camera comes back to Phoebe, she's holding an envelope with just her name on it, with no stamps. When she puts down the envelope by her side, the 4 line address is back.
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the episode, when Chandler comes into the apartment to talk to Joey about his kiss with Kathy, Joey turns the TV off and places the remote on the counter. However, the TV is suddenly back on after Joey asks, "Is that why you bought all this stuff?" (referring to the furniture), and then Joey turns it off again manually.
Corrected entry: When Chandler and Phoebe go to the jewelry store Phoebe's hair has two braids on each side that are being held together by what appears to be a hair pin, later on the scene where Phoebe is trying on a tiara she only has one braid on each side and no hair pins.
Corrected entry: When Phoebe and Chandler are about to kiss there is a bottle of wine and two glasses on the counter. It then cuts to a view of Phoebe with no bottle or glasses on the counter, just a phone, and then later in the same scene it cuts back to Phoebe again and there are two glasses and a bottle of wine again.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Chandler pours Joey a glass of orange juice, even though there are sounds of something being poured, if you observe carefully, you can see that there is nothing in the glass - when the juice is supposedly being poured, and even when Joey is drinking the juice.
Corrected entry: In 3-7 Phoebe mentions that she can't say "croissants" and then does so perfectly. In this episode she is fluent. She had mentioned in yet another episode that she learned it while living on the streets and met friends behind a dumpster to learn it, so it's not she learned between episodes.MovieFan612
Corrected entry: When Ross and Joey are auditioning for Monica's maid of honour, Rachel says she met Monica when they were 6 and she met Chandler when he was 25, but in other episodes it shows that they had been to thanksgiving dinners together when Chandler was in college with Ross. In another episode it also shows Chandler and Rachel making out at a party, so she had met him plenty of times before he was 25.
Corrected entry: When Monica and Ross are discussing why they are not allowed to play football, Monica states in the story that they were both 6. This would imply they are either twins or at least the same age. However, we see that Ross is in fact older than Monica. Also, later in the scene Monica and Ross say the football incident occurred 12 years ago. This would mean that they are both currently 18 years old which is false. In one episode earlier in the season Monica states that she is 28 years old.

Corrected entry: Monica tells the guys that she and Phoebe will search the third and fourth floors for the monkey and the guys would search the first and second floors. But Monica and Phoebe knock on Mr. Heckles' door, #9, which would be on one of the lower floors.MovieFan612
Corrected entry: Across the whole show, the infamous wall in Rachel's room / guest room (Monica's apartment) changes. When the room is not being filmed, the wall is as normal, but on quite a few episodes, when the room is actually used for scenes, the wall is much shorter. In both the episode where Ross buys Phoebe a bike, and where Phoebe and Rachel have to live with Monica after their apartment caught on fire, people are able to walk straight into the room without the wall being in the way.
Corrected entry: The wedding is threatened because Ross, Emily, and Monica discover that the location has been torn down a few days early. However, when one plans an event, especially a wedding, one puts down a deposit to hold the location, signs a contract, and has all of that in writing. The church would not have allowed the tear-down to happen early as they'd be in breach of contract for accepting money and then allowing the church to be torn down before the wedding. And if they had broken the contract, Monica would have been screaming about it and demanding a refund.
Corrected entry: Joey is shown moving into Chandler's apartment and meeting everyone for the first time approximately one year before Rachel showed up. It is also mentioned that it is a warm time of year, indicating that it is set during the summer months. However in 'The One with All the Thanksgivings' (series 6) Joey is shown living with the Friends by Thanksgiving (i.e. November) 1992.
Corrected entry: In Season 2 Episode 1 'TOW Ross' New Girlfriend' Joey is talking about how his tailor did his first pants when he was either 15 or 16. He wasn't sure and said 'When was 1990?' Indicating that he was 15 or 16 in 1990. In Season 6 Episode 19 'TOW Joey's Fridge' It was revealed that in 1981 Joey was 13. Which means that Joey was born in 1968. If Joey was born in 1968, then in 1990 he was 22.so_random_girl
Corrected entry: Even though Chandler and Phoebe say they don't really watch the football game, it seems as though they agree that Detroit Lions won the game. But the 2001 Thanksgiving Day game between the Lions and the Packers were indeed won by the Packers.Byraadsledern
Corrected entry: In episode 8.15, Phoebe accepts saltwater taffy treats from Ross saying she has never eaten them before when in episode 2.23, she mentioned that her then boyfriend, Ryan, a guy who is in the navy, gave her saltwater taffy for playing her guitar because he didn't have any change.macaroon
Corrected entry: In the scene where Rachel asks Phoebe if she can live with her Phoebe claims to have a roommate called Denise. However in a previous episode 'The one in Vegas part 1' Rachel and Phoebe are talking about walking around the apartment naked and Rachel says "you live on your own" to which Phoebe agrees saying "Yeah, why do you think it takes me so long to answer the door".
Corrected entry: When Phoebe and Joey are arguing about Phoebe's guitar teaching lessons, Monica comes in between them and gets her picture taken with them. Who takes the picture? Monica, Joey and Phoebe are all in the picture, Ross is on his date, Rachel is out (she comes in just after the picture is taken) and Chandler isn't there either (he is on the phone to Monica when Rachel picks up the phone). So who did it? There is no furniture there for Monica to have put it high enough to get them all in if she'd set the timer, either.
Corrected entry: Rachel says to Chandler that she thought he was gay when she first met him, but then later he spent "Phoebe's entire birthday party staring at her breasts".In a later season, we find out that they kissed when Chandler was in college and Rachel in high school. Also. Phoebe has not had a birthday since Rachel and she met for the first time.
Corrected entry: Whenever exterior shots of Ross' apartment building are shown, it is across the street from Monica's apartment building, which is the side that doesn't have balconies on, however Monica and Chandler are able to see into Ross's apartment from their balcony. Even if their apartment does have a balcony on the back, Ross's building is on the wrong side of theirs.l2007w
Corrected entry: During the scene where Rachel gets Tag's scarf out of his backpack and smells it, a coworker walks up. Rachel puts on the backpack to disguise what she was doing. The camera cuts away a few times and the final time she does not have the backpack on anymore.wHw
Corrected entry: In this episode, when Ross and Rachel are at the wedding, there's a couple, "Mr. and Mrs. Weinberg" that approaches and tells Rachel that he's happy to see her and he hardly expected to see so much (because in that episode Rachel walks down the aisle with her butt showing). The lady is actually another extra from another episode, the one where Chandler quits. It's the same lady who goes and tells Chandler about their boss wanting to talk to him.AndreinaDepp
Corrected entry: At the episode's end, the kids from the library song hour all somehow manage to show up as a group to her coffee shop. But their parents are nowhere to be seen. So, what then - did upwards of a dozen kids, less than 10 years old, all independently call each other, when they only know each other through story hour, and arrange to go to the coffee shop together? What did they do with their parents? Or did they supposedly all bolt from the story hour together, without a single parent following?
Corrected entry: When Monica shows Chandler the check from Pete, Chandler says, "Pete Becker, Pete," and he grabs a magazine from his briefcase, but before this Chandler told the girls that he hasn't been able to unlock the briefcase and he just carries it around, so how would Chandler have gotten it out?
Corrected entry: In this episode, when Chandler is telling Rachel his Thanksgiving story, he says that he had just had a mouthful of pumpkin pie when his parents told him they were getting divorced. However, in 'The One With All The Thanksgivings', in the flashback, Chandler is eating turkey when they tell him (hence the houseboy saying 'more turkey Mr. Chandler?').duncanmc
Corrected entry: From the start of Series 7 (and for the next 2 series' at least) does anyone else notice the change in Matthew Perry's voice? I've searched to see if anyone else has mentioned it and as far as I can tell, no one has, but to me it's very obvious. I'm not sure I can explain it too well, but there's just something in his voice that changed (the tone of it and overall sound); it sounds like a different person talking.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Joey tells Ross that the stripper stole the wedding ring, when Chandler says, "So you might say, it's a magic ring", you can see Joey starts laughing in the background. In the next shot he starts laughing again.
Corrected entry: When Chandler finds the video labelled 'Monica' in Richard's appartment, Monica mentions that Chandler could never grow a mustache. However, in earlier episodes (around series 2), he does grow one, trying to copy the same Richard (granted it's not a very good one)
Corrected entry: Towards the start, when Chandler, Monica and Phoebe are listening through the walls, when they are listening to Rachel and Joey, and the camera slides "through" one room to another, you can see Phoebe's hand in front of the wall section that is in between the two rooms.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Phoebe is describing her worst Thanksgiving experience (in 1862 as a nurse) and her left hand is blown away, you can see that the hand is fake as it doesn't move, is shorter and is a different color to the right one. Additionally, in the time between the bomb exploding and her hand being torn away, a rope is visible moving it.
Corrected entry: In Rachel's hotel room, there is a door on the left of the wall that joins onto Monica and Chandler's room. Due to the layout of the rooms, the only place it could lead to is Monica and Chandler's room. However, when Ross is talking to Rachel and she's looking for Joey, she walks through this door and has a quick look around. Surely she would see Joey in there, or at least Monica, Chandler and Phoebe and ask if they knew where Joey was?
Corrected entry: In the scene where Monica and Chandler are about to get tested in the clinic, Monica says, "My tests are down the hall." But after she says, "I've got a vaginal exam to get to," she turns and walks the opposite way she of where she said her tests were.
Corrected entry: Matthew Perry was so famous for missing his mark while taping that he developed the backward slide that you see him do in almost every show. He would come bounding into his scene slide backwards looking down for his mark and then hit it. (Per the tour guide at Warner Brothers Studio).Boobra
Corrected entry: Chandler and Ross go back to the reception site to take pictures with disposable cameras to "replace" the cameras they had misplaced. Chandler is posing, smiling, etc. In the previous season, Chandler and Monica are getting their engagement picture taken and Chandler can't smile for the camera. In fact, Monica ends up taking her picture with Joey and puts that in the paper.
Corrected entry: When Rachel is eating at the diner and she and Monica are talking, there is a red glass sitting in front of her. In the next shot she is talking to Mark and says "It's not funny!" and the glass is gone; in the shot after that it's back again.Pam-I-am
Corrected entry: In the flashback episode, Chandler and Monica are in the bar (which is soon to become Central Perk) and Rachel is in the same bar with her friends before she is due to marry Barry. When Chandler overhears Rachel - a complete stranger - say she wants one last fling, he tries to flirt with her, but she dismisses him. Monica then says "I know her" and talks to Rachel briefly with Chandler present. In fact, as revealed in later episodes, Chandler and Rachel knew each other when he was in college with Ross and Rachel was in high school with Monica - in fact they even made out at a college party.
Corrected entry: Monica and Rachel have two fights in this episode - one before Monica's date with Van Damme, and then after. Interestingly enough, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe are wearing exactly the same outfits for both scenes, which seems just a tad unrealistic given that the date has taken place in between.
Corrected entry: When packing up the spare room in Monica and Chandler's apartment, the boys find a pair of fluffy handcuffs in the wardrobe. Monica and Chandler painted the room and inside the wardrobe when Rachel moved out; wouldn't they have found them then?
Corrected entry: Monica tells Chandler she is not going to go on the date with the man nurse. As she is walking away, Chandler is going to do a dance and she says don't do the dance. The dance she is referring to is the one he does where he hears that Monica is with someone who is the best sex she's ever had. How can she know about this dance if the first time she sees it isn't until the following episode?
Corrected entry: In the coffee house when Joey's dad asks Ross "How's the wife?" he moves his head and makes a groaning sound. His lips do not visibly move, and there is no other indication that he made this noise. It also sounds strange and misplaced in the shot if you listen to it in surround sound, implying it was dubbed in afterwards.
Corrected entry: Joey can read Phoebe's mind! Joey asks for the phone number of Phoebe's friend. Phoebe gives Joey a pen. He writes the name of the girlfriend on his hand and gives the pen back. Phoebe never tells him the phone number.A couple of scenes later, Joey is having dinner with that girl.
Corrected entry: When Phoebe tells Monica and Chandler that Rachel and Joey are kissing in the next room, at the time she says "It's Rachel and Joey.", you can see that the door leading to their room has been partially cut to achieve the effect of the camera going through the wall.
Corrected entry: The Spanish subtitles for this show are laughably bad. Across the first seven seasons, the subtitles routinely mistranslate what the actors are saying. In the worst cases, they omit whole sentences. Many times, they use words that don't exist in any Spanish dictionary.
Corrected entry: When Phoebe is considering carrying her brother's babies, her mother gives her a puppy to look after. Chandler seems very comfortable with this puppy. However, in Series 7, when Phoebe brings a dog back to Monica's apartment, Chandler says he is terrified of dogs - especially puppies.
Corrected entry: After Rachel tells Ross she is pregnant with his baby they go to see a midwife who performs an ultrasound scan. However, she never once touches Rachel with the equipment, yet when they look at the screen they are told "There's your baby," and they can see it moving and the heart beating etc.
Corrected entry: When the doctor is explaining to Phoebe about the triplets she says that "giving birth to three babies is not that different than giving birth to one". However, most triplets are born prematurely and by Caesarian section (which the doctor doesn't mention).
Corrected entry: The whole plot line of Rachel getting off the plane is most definitely impossible in post-9/11 America. Regulations consider any passengers that get off the plane after they've boarded to be security risks. When Phoebe gets Rachel talking about something wrong with the plane, causing panic, all those panicked passengers would have been stopped, and Rachel likely would have been questioned for the suspicious nature of that phone conversation. Likewise, when Rachel goes running off the plane, she at best would have been forcibly stopped and questioned, and at worst would have been shot, like the mentally ill guy in Miami in early 2006.
Corrected entry: When Phoebe is teaching Joey how to lie, look carefully at the plates on the table behind her. There are three plates, the next time you see them they all have napkins on them, then in the next shot (with the plates) only the one closest to the camera has a napkin on it. Also this plate is one of Monica's good plates, yet when Joey sits down later, it is a red plate.panda
Corrected entry: When Ross walks into Monica and Chandler's hotel room, he is packed much earlier than both Monica and Chandler. However, in the episode after Monica and Chandler get married, Ross only signs out of the hotel a few minutes before check-out time. This is also implied by other characters who say that he does that all the time.
Corrected entry: In the last scene of the episode when the friends are sitting on the sofa in Central Perk, Ross has the ice on his forehead because he hit it on the machine in the launderette. At first Rachel is holding it on Ross' head, then in another shot Ross is holding it, then Rachel again, and then in the final shot Ross is holding it. It may be that they did keep switching but it's unlikely and looks more like the scene was filmed twice and the mistake was made when it was edited.
Corrected entry: At the end of the episode, Ross and Monica complain because they didn't get to perform their routine on the platform (because it cut to midnight too quickly). But the director must have known exactly when the filming would end, so why would he have put Ross and Monica on the platform 10 seconds before the end of filming? It's not just that he wants them in the background for a few seconds or something, because he wanted them for the blooper show (not the final show) and they didn't get a chance to dance up there at all.
Corrected entry: In this episode The One with Joey's Fridge, Rachel's hair is just a few inches past her shoulders and in the very next episode, The One with Mac and C. H. E. E. S. E. Rachel's hair has magically grown down to her waist. No one else's hair has changed, and no mention of it in these episodes either. I guess they were just hoping no one would notice it.
Corrected entry: When Rachel and Ross are pulled over by the Cop on the freeway, the Cop states that Rachel's starsign is Aquarius, based on her driving licence details. However, in series 4, 'The One with Joey's New Girlfriend', she tells Gunther that her birthday is May 5th. That would make her starsign Taurus.
Corrected entry: In this episode, Chandler is speaking to Nina, when they both agree that their processing term, "WENUS" is short for "Weekly Estimated Net Usage Statistics". However, this is inconsistent with the previous episode: Season 1, Episode 15, The One With The Stoned Guy. In that episode, Chandler is speaking to Monica, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe in Central Perk, when he says that "WENUS" is short for "Weekly Estimated Net Usage Systems".
Corrected entry: When Monica and Chandler are taking their clothes off, Chandler takes his clothes off really fast, and Monica says "wow, you're fast". Then they say that they are about to see each other naked. Monica isn't wearing the top of her dress (a two-piece) any more, but she could only have removed that by pulling it over her head, which she hasn't done.don_corleone
Corrected entry: Phoebe is collecting for charity and Monica comes to see her; a man puts a dollar in the bucket and tries to make change for the bus. When Phoebe argues with the man he says "bite me blondie", but he couldn't have known that she is blonde because she has a Santa hat on that covers her entire head and no hair is coming out from underneath the hat.
Corrected entry: When Paul is looking in the mirror and saying he's a sex machine, instead of looking at himself in the mirror, Paul is looking at the camera in the mirror. That's why his eyes in the mirror look to the front. This happens in many films and TV shows.
Corrected entry: Phoebe goes to Rachel, and to comfort her says "Ah Pheebs," and acts surprised when Rachel tells her that Pheebs is short for her name and is not just what they call each other. However, in the previous episode, The One With Rachel's Crush, Rachel says "Mr. Pheebs" and we see Phoebe obviously happy that Rachel has used her nickname as her false identity.
Corrected entry: There's an impossibility with the view out of the guys' apartment. Take a look at the hallway set: On the left there's the door to their apartment, then a wall, then the stairwell, which runs on the other side of the guys' kitchen/bathroom/living room. Yet when you go inside and see that same wall, it's got windows that show a direct view of outside. Those windows could only show a view of the stairwell.
Corrected entry: In 10-9, The One With The Birth Mother, Erika hands Monica and Chandler a sonagram picture. Would they not see that she is carrying two babies on the sonagram? In the episode where Erika is giving birth, neither she nor Monica nor Chandler know that she is expecting twins.
Corrected entry: When Chandler is at the airport with Janice there is a last call announcement for his flight to Yemen, and Yemen being mentioned as the destination in the announcement. However there is no such city as Yemen (the capital of Yemen is San'a) and the destination of a flight should be the destination city, not the country.
Corrected entry: When Ross decides he wants in on the lottery, where do his tickets come from? They don't go out to the shop to buy some. It could be argued that he bought some when Phoebe lost the tickets over the balcony, but I think he'd be more pre-occupied on finding the ones that were already lost.
Corrected entry: When Phoebe is talking to her dad in the coffee house, she asks Frank Sr. about his marriage to Lily and their two children. But Phoebe has already found out that Lily isn't her real mother because she lives in Montauk. Frank Sr. would surely know that Lily wasn't there real mother if indeed she wasn't.
Corrected entry: In The One With The Ball, Monica ends up showing she has an allergy to cat dander. But in the previous season, in The One With The Cat, Phoebe finds a cat that she thinks is the reincarnated spirit of her dead mother. Monica is in close contact with the cat, and even petting it in one scene. Now, it's possible to develop allergies over time, but the time between these two events is very short (in storyline time).
Corrected entry: Rachel was able to materialise a pair of chopsticks at the soap opera party, pending Ross' comment on how he imitated a woolly mammoth to Charlie, even though they were at a wine table with no food or cutlery near by, neither did she leave the conversation to find some.
Corrected entry: When the woman who is having a baby for Monica and Chandler goes into labour (Erica), Monica starts to freak out, as she sits down on the chair Chandler pushes a couple of coats onto Monica's lap, obviously to hide Courtney Cox's pregnant belly.Kara
Corrected entry: When Janice comes into the coffee shop to talk to Chandler, she brings several shopping bags which she sets by the couch. But when she gets back from the restroom and Phoebe breaks up with her for Chandler, she leaves the coffee shop without getting her bags from in front of the couch.
Corrected entry: When the five of them are at the rest stop, Joey manages to get the cab door open. When Phoebe starts to reverse the car, you can tell the cab hasn't broke down as you can see the brake lights come on. No lights were on when the cab started moving.
Corrected entry: Near the end when Chandler is in a meeting, Stevens comes back later because he forgot his suitcase. If you look carefully, he picks up his suitcase and then puts it back down on the table on purpose. Also, when he leaves the room, you can see him turn around and hide out of shot waiting for his cue to come back in.
Corrected entry: When Emily calls Ross at the end of the show and asks to be put on speaker phone, Ross agrees but he hangs up the phone, then presses the speaker phone button. You must turn on the speaker phone option before setting down the phone. Emily and the gang should not have been able to speak to each other because Ross hung up on her.Mark English
Corrected entry: When Joey tries to get Ross' parents to share their birthday gift for Emma with him, Ross' father says: "Which one are you?" As well as having met him many times before, the only other options of who he could be is Ross, his own son or Chandler, his daughter's husband.
Corrected entry: Isn't is strange how normally there is a busy street/road outside the coffee house, but during Phoebe's wedding ceremony, which we can see takes place directly outside it, it appears to be more like an open area of land? The wedding could never have taken place in the middle of a road (even if the roads were quiet because of the blizzard) but also the setting of her wedding is very dissimilar to the normal setting outside the coffee house.
Corrected entry: When Ross, Emily, Phoebe and Joey go back to the coffeehouse after Ross gets the crap beaten out of him, he says to Emily: "are you kidding? I just made a man twice my size cry. I haven't done that since I was four and I washed my Dad's Porsche with rocks." But in series two when Richard has a 'twinkie in the city'(Monica), Jack Gellar comments on how "I turned fifty, I got the Porsche, you've got your own little speedster." If Jack Gellar was fifty when Ross was four, that would make him around seventy-six. He's looking pretty good for a seventy-six year old man isn't he?.
Corrected entry: Every time, when a shot from outside is shown, showing Monica's building, then turning to show Ross' one, we can see that there's a street in the middle. However, when we see Monica's apartment, inside, and we see the balcony (and being Ross' one in front of this one) we see that there's no street in the middle of these ones, there are more buildings around them.
Corrected entry: Monica seems shocked when she sees Gladys, as if she's never seen her before. However, if you carefully examine the flashback scene in Monica's apartment in TOW All The Resolutions, you can see Gladys hanging up in the apartment to the left of the door (from the camera). Therefore, Monica has already had Gladys in her apartment, and therefore would probably not be surprised that Phoebe has it.
Corrected entry: This episode is taking place the week before New Year's Eve, so why is Joey still working as an elf in a department store? During one scene, Monica is dismantling the Christmas tree and Joey walks in wearing the elf costume and talking about the single mom he met while she was waiting in line with her kids. These dates don't seem to add up.Steph_Jared
Corrected entry: In this episode Phoebe sets Rachel up with one of her massage clients, Steve, played by Jon Lovitz. He appeared a couple seasons earlier (The One With the Stoned Guy) as the same character and wrecked Monica's kitchen while Rachel waitressed. Rachel would've remembered who this guy was, why would she stay on the date as long as she had? She already knew he was a jerk.
Corrected entry: One best man (Joey) walks down the aisle with the mother of the bride and the other (Chandler) comes in with Monica which is completely wrong. The best man (or men) should be at the front of the venue with the groom - they are there to support him.
Corrected entry: In the one with the cake, Chandler says that he has to go to the bathroom and Phoebe and Joey run in after him because they say he's trying to escape out the window, but The One with the Fertility Test we see a glimpse of the left wall (the only one we rarely see so may have a window) many times, from the kitchen perspective. There is no window, just things hanging on the wall, possibly a towel on a hook.Melissa
Corrected entry: In this episode, Ross reclaims their washing machine after the Horrible Woman cons Rachel out of it, and Rachel tells him it's brilliant because she "can't even send back soup". But in The One With The Flashback - set before this - Rachel sends back a whole round of drinks. He's My Brother
Corrected entry: Joey says to Ross 'Who's well educated now, Mr. I forgot 10 states?' But earlier on he has crossed out at least one when he asks Chandler why New England is not a state. Before he crossed it out he had 56, so when he said this to Ross he had less than 56.
Corrected entry: How is it possible for Phoebe's ex-partner to use the Smelly Cat song for a kitty litter jingle when a record company made Smelly Cat into a song/video in the Second Season's TOW Eddie Moves In? Surely there was a contract involved between Phoebe and the record company granting the record company the rights?
Corrected entry: When Joey slides the gift for Kathy across the bar, you can see in the bathroom that a towel is hung over the shower curtain rod, however in the shot when Chandler is saying goodnight to Kathy, the towel is gone. No-one went into the bathroom.Pam-I-am
Corrected entry: After Cathy gets off the phone with Joey, she puts the phone on the counter. A few shots later, when she starts to leave, the phone is on the receiver. After Cathy and Chandler kiss, the phone is back on the counter.ACertainShadeofGreen
Corrected entry: When Ross is playing his keyboard for the gang, he presses a note twice and gets a single note. The next time he presses the keyboard the accompaniment starts automatically. Ross would have had to press a settings button to get the accompaniment to start automatically on a keyboard note press. However, we don't see Ross press any settings buttons.
Corrected entry: At the end, when everyone is on the balcony watching Chandler and Kathy, Monica sees a guy robbing a purse, and Joey goes to call the police. When he comes back, he has the phone, but he says nothing, even though he came back way too quickly to have made the call.
Corrected entry: Over time, the fooz ball table in Chandler and Joey's apartment has a glass top. In some episodes, there is a glass top and items are set on top of the table, such as mail - or they even eat meals on it. In other episodes, there is no glass top and they reach into the table to retrieve the ball, move the players, etc.
Corrected entry: At the beginning of the episode where they are all watching Joey's play, Chandler says that you could always spot someone who has never seen one of Joey's plays. At this time Phoebe is looking inside the leaflet about the play the shot changes to a shot of her and she is looking at the front of leaflet saying the title makes her jump.
Corrected entry: In the party after the wedding Rachel's mom comes up to Rachel to talk. Well in one shot Rachel has her drink in her right hand right when her mom starts handing her drink to Rachel. Next shot Rachel has her drink in her left hand and takes her mom's in her right hand even though there's just no time to switch hands between those shots.
Corrected entry: In the one with all the Thanksgivings, Monica is cheering up Chandler by putting a turkey on her head. Where did the whole uncooked turkey come from though, considering they had just had their meal? Did Monica just happen to have a large turkey in her freezer? To make matters worse, it is not possible for a human being to put a frozen turkey over his head for that long and not faint.
Corrected entry: When Rachel comes in to spy on Ross through Monica and Chandler's window we hear the shower water running and both Monica and Chandler are in the bathroom. However, Chandler comes out wearing a T-shirt under his robe (and he's wearing socks). This seems to assume that he is dry (as the T-shirt is dry too). Also we can see that Monica is wearing her nightdress under her robe when we see down to her feet, so how could one or both of them have been showering?
Corrected entry: At one point Ross goes out with a girl whose father is played by Bruce Willis. In The One With The Nap Partners, Ross and Joey are really excited because they rented 'Die Hard' which stars, Bruce Willis. Monica's credit card is stolen in the 1st series by a woman who hated the film 'Dead Poet's Society', in a later episode Robin Williams turns up in a cameo role. It would be interesting to see who stars in those films in the Friends 'Universe'.
Corrected entry: As Chandler is leaving for Tulsa, he tells Monica to have Geoffrey (who Monica claimed was the funniest person she ever met) email him with funny Oklahoma jokes at www.hahanotsomuch.com. There is a real web page with this name with various quotations from that episode.
Corrected entry: When the gang minus Rachel receives their invitations, Phoebe states that Ross let Ben address hers, and shows the rest of them. We see that the envelope has a full address consisting of four lines. Chandler then enters, and about 10 seconds later we see Phoebe's invitation again, this time only having an address consisting of one line.
Corrected entry: When the police officer is giving Rachel a ticket he sees her birthday, says "Aquarius", and she says yes. But in an earlier episode when Gunther is asking for people's birthdays Rachel says her birthday is May 5. To be an Aquarius your birthday has to be between January and February.
Corrected entry: Chandler claims to have hidden Joey's underwear because "he stole my essence." But Chandler didn't go out of the apartment to do this, meaning the only time he could have done it was when he was over there first, and he wouldn't have done because there was no incentive to do so as Joey hadn't taken the cushions off the chair.David Mercier
Corrected entry: Ross already told his parents that Carol was a lesbian in Episode 1 "I told mom and dad last night, they seem to have taken it pretty well." But in the 2nd episode Ross tells his parents after dinner at Monica's like it was the first time he told them.Sonja Marie
Corrected entry: In the one with Monica's boots, Joey finds out that his younger sister Deena is pregnant. Joey then storms off to find her boyfriend Bobby and manages to find him. How would he be able to, though? It is made clear that Joey has never met Bobby before, therefore he would not know what he looks like or where to find him. Even if he did some how manage to find him how did he manage to do it so quickly?
Corrected entry: In the episode in Barbados (part 2) when Mike and Monica are playing table tennis, Mike goes to great pains to explain that if a player puts his/her non bat hand on the table while the ball is in play then the player forfeits the point. Just before Mike wins his game (the second game they play) he stretches to get a shot from Monica and places his non bat holding hand on the table.Kara
Corrected entry: In the one where Joey gets his eyebrows plucked, after Chandler has plucked his other eyebrow they decide to curl Joey's eyelashes. Chandler puts the eyelash curler toward Joey's eyes and looks, to all intents and purposes, like he is curling Joey's lashes because he stops moving, however, Joey is continuously blinking his eyes. If Chandler actually had put the curlers on Joey's lashes, the continuous blinking would have ripped every lash from that eye.Kara
Corrected entry: At the fight Ross walks up with a very big drink and a even bigger tub of popcorn, however you never see it again after that shot. It can't be on the floor, they would have stepped on it, and considering the size of it, you should have been able to see it.Pam-I-am
Corrected entry: When Joey uses the thesaurus to write his recommendation letter to the adoption agency, he signs the letter, "Baby Kangaroo Tribbiani." While certainly comic, and even though the word "joey" does mean "baby kangaroo," it does not come up in the MS Word thesaurus (and it was strongly suggested that they were using Word, as they referenced the thesaurus being under the Tools menu), nor does www.thesaurus.com correlate the two.DavidK93
Corrected entry: Why do Rachel and Joey have to ask Chandler what it was like for him and Monica going from "friends to...more than that," when Rachel already has first hand experience with that exact situation, with Ross? While Ross was always interested in Rachel, so never had a radical shift to cope with, Rachel only viewed Ross as a close friend until she found out his feelings.DavidK93
Corrected entry: In this episode Ross wants to go and ask Kristen on a date, so Chandler and Joey give him an egg and tell him to return it to her. When he comes back and says and she said yes,he kind of wiggles his fingers around and we see that they are empty, but when he hugs Chandler he says that he still has the egg in his hand. Did it just magically appear out of nowhere?
Corrected entry: When Rachel is looking for an apartment, Phoebe says she can stay with her because her roommate Denise will be gone until December 26th. But when the apartment burns down and they plan to move back in episode 10 of season 7, nobody cares that Denise would've been back a LONG time and also doesn't have an apartment, because Phoebe wants Rachel to move in with her.
Corrected entry: In the one with Ross and Monica's parents' 35th wedding anniversary, when the parents are talking to Ross and Rachel, there is a picture of the parents in the background, in exactly the same location, wearing exactly the same clothes. That photo would have had to be taken, printed, and blown up in the last hour.
Corrected entry: When George Clooney answers the phone (while Monica and Rachel are pretending to be each other), he starts handing the phone to Rachel, saying "Rachel, it's your dad", but should be passing it to Monica (as he thinks her name's Rachel). The angle then changes, and now he's handing it to Monica.Jon Sandys
Corrected entry: In the one where Joey and Chandler buy a foosball table, Monica and Ross come over to play. The score as the blue team and are on the right hand side of the table. When the credits are rolling, Monica is playing against Joey and Chandler again. She is on the left hand side of the table but scores as the blue team again.
Corrected entry: During one of the Las Vegas episodes Phoebe insinuates that she has been married in Vegas before. We know she divorced Duncan, the gay ice dancer, but we never hear mention of her divorcing this mystery man she supposedly married in Vegas. In season 10 she marries Mike Hannigan, so this would be an illegal marriage and make Pheebs a bigamist.
Corrected entry: When Paul enters his bedroom and Ross is behind the door, Ross hesitates and then snakes under the bed while Paul is distracted. However, Paul is looking at the mirror in the corner, which faces back towards the door, so he should have seen Ross standing there.
Corrected entry: In the final episode, Monica and Chandler take home the twins almost immediately after Erica has them. No hospital in the United States would ever allow newborn babies to go home the day they are born. Even the most healthy babies are required to stay at least 24 hours at the hospital.
Corrected entry: Fair enough that in TOW The Flashback Rachel doesn't remember Chandler if she had just met him at the Geller's Thanksgiving years ago, but this episode reveals she was at a party with him and even kissed him. Ok, she was drunk when she kissed him but she would still remember the party, and surely she'd remember the guy who was the reason her friend Monica lost all that weight.
Corrected entry: This episode takes place one year before the pilot (Rachel was supposed to get married in one year in the flashback and the pilot started on the day of her wedding). But in this episode, Ross finds out that Carol is a lesbian. However, not until the 2nd or 3rd episode does he find out she's pregnant. For this to make sense, either she had a really long pregnancy or else they continued sleeping together for a year after she came out (not likely).
