We're now well into the era of movies breaking $1 billion at the box office, but that doesn't mean they're flawless. Here are some of the biggest mistakes from billion dollar movies...
When Rose breaks Jack's handcuffs, you can see the stunt person not wearing suspenders as Jack does. This is an inter cut shot between the raising of the axe and the striking of the cuffs. Leonardo's stunt double is noticeable in other shots throughout the film.
When M'Baku challenges T'Challa, the decorations near his neck are in a different position between him facing the crowd, and him turning to face T'Challa.
When Finn is going to an escape pod to run away, he puts his pack down in front of it, seen again in a later shot. When Rose realises he's trying to run away, his pack has moved itself inside the pod.
When Tim and Lex first arrive, Lex is wearing a purple tank top with a colorful design, and in the following scenes or even between consecutive shots her tank top changes to completely different designs, though it's the same style of tank top.
In the scene where Parker is shown playing golf on the indoor golf course in RDA, the first time he hits the ball, there are two other balls lying on the course side by side. In the next shot, two are distant apart and in the shot after that, they are in their original position.
When Anakin attaches 3PO's right eye, one shot has the eye in his left hand, then the angle changes and the eye is being applied with the right hand.
When Mrs. Otterton is in Chief Bogo's office holding her family photo with both paws, in the wideshots her purse is hanging in the crook of her left arm, but after a brief shot of Judy, when it cuts to Mrs. Otterton's closeup as she tells Bogo about her two beautiful children her purse is gone, then after another brief shot of Judy the purse is back in its place again in the wideshot.
As Bruce Wayne is researching the jewel thief, the word "Heist" is spelled "Hiest" in a newspaper headline.
After Belle says good morning to Jean Potts, when she feeds the apple to the donkey note the rope (crosstie) is tied off at the donkey's throat, but in the next closeup the rope is tied off directly to the halter knot at its cheek.
Inside Jurassic World's main control room, Chris Pratt looks at a view screen depicting a paramilitary team tracking down the escaped I-Rex. In an homage to the film Aliens, the screen is complete with POV cam footage and heart rate monitors. Unfortunately, the FX team didn't catch the fact that all four people are shown having identical heart rates. Ridley Scott made the same mistake in Prometheus.
Dom escapes his crew by crashing through a flower stall, leaving flowers and other debris on his car. Just seconds later we see his car again and it's pristine - it looks like it's just been washed.
While Poe leads the aerial assault on the oscillator, in the closeups of Poe and other X-wing fighter pilots, note the cockpit windows at the pilots' left and right have identical marks and scratches in their individual X-wings. It's particularly noticeable when one closeup follows another.
Throughout the film, Tony Stark's chest ring can be seen glowing through his shirt except for two occasions when it's suddenly off - after Loki escapes from the helicarrier, and when Loki and Tony Stark are talking in Stark tower, even when he's wearing the same shirt.
After Letty saves Brian he is lying on the ground, and his unzipped sweatshirt changes from being open and completely off his chest in the overhead shot, to partially covering his chest in the side shot, and then back to off his chest.
SPOILER - The wounds on Pietro's body change. The most noticeable one is on his right shoulder. The amount of blood decreases too.
During the epilogue, Hermione hugs her daughter Rose. In the first shot, Rose's left hand rests on her mother's back just below the shoulder. Cut to the following shot and the same hand is on Hermione's arm instead.
In "Let it Go", after Elsa releases her cloak, an overhead shot shows she's about 30 feet short of a gap, walking forwards, on a flat expanse of snow. She then keeps moving towards it while singing in closeup (which would have taken her right up to the edge). She then runs forwards in a wide shot, but instead of falling off the edge she should be right next to, she runs up over a hill that appears from nowhere, before she creates the steps to bridge the gap.
In the chase through the tube station, Bond and Silva both slide down between the escalators. On the London Underground this area has hard vertical signs at regular intervals, precisely to prevent people sliding down.
When Tony is in his garage injecting his arm, his chest piece is glowing brightly through his shirt, however, the very next shot when he is wiping his arm with the alcohol pad, his chest piece is suddenly turned off.
When Spidey takes Cap's shield he uses his web on it, but when he lands on the car the web on the shield is gone.
In the first scene with Carly coming up the stairs she is wearing a white cap, when the camera changes to the front view and she is holding the stuffed rabbit the cap is gone.
In the second half of the film, Frodo has a scar on his lower right cheek, close to his chin. Many times throughout the rest of the film the scar changes position and size on his right cheek. It also appears on his left cheek in flipped shots (most obviously on the slopes of Mount Doom when Sam is cradling his head).
Just after Lockdown stabs Optimus in the chest with his own sword, Cade runs closer and shoots at Lockdown. He then hides behind some bricks. In that shot, the bricks are a broken wall that is two separate pieces. Then it cuts to a different shot as Lockdown returns fire at Cade, and now the wall is one piece. Not only this, but some random guy suddenly appears in the shot next to the wall and right where the explosion happens where Lockdown shot the wall. He is wearing the same color clothes as the wall and only visible for a moment. There was no other guy present until that moment and he just suddenly appears behind Cade and gets hit. It's presumably a special effects member setting off the charge in the wall by the looks of it and it detonated before he got out of the shot.
After Chuckles tells the story of Lotso we see the gang locked up at the daycare center. Jessie comforts Bullseye and looks at the word "Andy" on her boot (with the "A" on the inner side) . Woody returns and when the bell rings for the kids to go outside, we see Jessie on the floor. Notice that the "Andy" on her boot is now different (the "A" is on the outer part of her boot).
There are six metal bars mounted around the circumference of the water wheel's axle. In the wheel's interior, when Jack frees himself he lands on his feet, begins to run and promptly hits his head on one of those axle bars, then falls out. Moments later, when Jack returns and runs in the wheel, he is shorter (way more than a foot) than all six spinning axle bars, which would make that previous shot impossible, however humorous it is.
When Bodhi Rook is first introduced on Jedha, there is a fallen statue in the sand, first shown lying on its left, but at the end of the scene, the statue is suddenly lying on its right.
When Jack fights the impostor, they are roughly the same height, but when the impostor is revealed to be Angelica, she is suddenly much shorter than him.
During the bank scene, the Joker shoots the bus driver and he falls dead in front of the bus. As the Joker approaches the Bank manager to put the gas can in his mouth, you can still see the body. But after he removes his mask and walks toward the bus, the driver's body is gone.
