The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: It does change, but if that scene is watched carefully, the force of the wind blowing by the roller coaster blows the red cap off to reveal the white one underneath.

Cubs Fan

Corrected entry: Harry and Sally are talking to their respected friends (the split screen scene) about how they just had sex, in Harry's split screen is a mirror. Watch in the reflection as a crew member walks by as if nothing has happened. He actually walks by twice, in different directions. The film's director Rob Reiner walks by carrying some equipment seconds later. (01:13:55 - 01:14:20)

manthabeat

Correction: Harry is in a public place using a public phone. The scene implies that both Harry and Sally have called their friends right away after Harry leaves Sally's place. The type of phone Harry uses, plus the mirror to see the people passing by helps reinforce this theory, and thus the rush of his call. Seeing passers by in a mirror (even if they're cameos by members of the crew) fits the scene.

Doctor Zhivago (1965)

Correction: Dr. Zhivago does not use the pen until several hours after they have been in the house and warmed-up the room. After first arriving at the icy house during the day, there is a fade to show the passage of time where it is now night and the woman and child are sleeping near a stove with a fire. The room is now completely thawed with no visible ice and that is when he begins to write with the pen.

2012 (2009)

Corrected entry: Throughout most of the film John Cusack listens to a radio program on 745 KHz AM [medium wave]. In the United States, this frequency would almost certainly be impossible to hear in a car, due to U.S. frequency spacing of 10 KHz per station.

manthabeat

Correction: The radio station with 745kHz AM frequency is fictional and need not be scaled with the real word. To comply with the 10kHz spacing, the other fictional stations [even if not mentioned in the movie] could be 755, 765, 775kHz and so on. In the same way the telephone number prefix 555 is unused; hence, almost always used for fiction.

Gran Torino (2008)

Corrected entry: As the family drives away at the beginning in the "foreign car," you can see the crew reflected in the name plate and various other parts of the vehicle as it drives away from the camera.

manthabeat

Correction: The only thing reflected in the "name plate" [the chrome bar across the back of the vehicle] is a distorted reflection of the street behind the vehicle - houses, trees, cars. There are no camera equipment or crew members; if you try really hard, you can see Clint's profile, as he bends over the engine of the vehicle he's working on.

MovieFan612

Correction: Everyone might be scared at first, but once over the initial shock, kids could easily find the adult's panic amusing.

Grumpy Scot

Nope that was a blooper they were laughing it never got cut from the scene.

Candyman (1992)

Corrected entry: When Candyman first meets Virginia Madsen in the parking garage, he is giving a large amount of dialogue, however if you look closely, his mouth is not moving until he steps in the light.

manthabeat

Correction: That's because he is a paranormal being; he has a certain degree of telepathic powers, and his voiceover is heard for the sake of the audience.

The Quiet Man (1952)

Corrected entry: After it starts raining at the graveyard, John Wayne hands his wife his coat and she puts it on. She doesn't have the coat on when she goes to cuddle with him a split second later.

Groundhog Day (1993)

Corrected entry: In the first scene at the bed and breakfast before Phil says "chance of departure." he is talking to the lady. At the end of this scene he picks up his cup of coffee. Yet when he says his lines seconds later, the coffee cup is gone and he is putting on his coat. (00:09:55)

manthabeat

Correction: He sets the coffee down to put on his coat, just like any other normal person would do, so as not to spill it.
