Question: This goes along with the previous question about that song that starts at :33 on the first trailer. Does anyone know what kind of music genre it would be under so I might find an album that sounds like it?

HulkObsessedChick

Chosen answer: I can do better than that. The track is called "The World Waits" by Edmund Choi, from the soundtrack to the movie "The Dish". If you're in the UK, the track can be downloaded here for 70p: http://is.gd/5KgJb.

Coraline (2009)

Chosen answer: It's all nonsense words. It's Bruno Colais (the musical director)'s signature style. It's got some inspiration from French and Hungarian accents.

Answer: It's not all nonsense, if you listen to the song with lyrics you'll see that she's speaking in English but like twisting the words a lot, for example for "we live somewhere" she says "we love somwye".

I don't know which song you're speaking about, but "Exploration" and "End Credits" are gibberish all the other songs I heard on the soundtrack are also gibberish, even if she occasional says a real Hungarian or French word.

Bishop73

Exploration and end credits aren't gibberish, there's actual lyrics for each, it's just in French I believe.

Here is the first verse for "End Credit" and you translate it from French into English for us if this isn't gibberish with an occasional real word. "Creaking van iddli fla lu va. Pretty sah lu feh iddli twu ki padi. Trelly goilly doilly seli pretty chedi. Emi swalin gwoh."

Question: What was the reason for adding the attack scene at the Burrow during Christmas? My friend and I can't find a way to fit this scene in with the rest of the movie, as it does not happen in the book. It's obvious directors love to add scenes that aren't in the book, but something of this impact, it's just flying right over my head.

HulkObsessedChick

Chosen answer: In the book we are told of attacks by Death Eaters within the Wizarding community. In the film, when Arthur and Harry enter the shed, Arthur explains that they're all being followed and most days Molly doesn't leave the house. The filmmakers chose to expound on this by means of an attack by Bellatrix and Greyback, and the attempt to terrorize the family the viewers hold dear, the Weasleys.

Question: After Dumbledore is killed, Snape, Draco and the other Death Eaters are leaving the castle from the Astronomy Tower, why/how is it that they end up exiting the Great Hall (then blasting the Auror and then exiting the castle)?

HulkObsessedChick

Chosen answer: There is a bit of a time lapse from when they leave the Astronomy Tower, but the Death Eaters are creating as much mayhem as possible within the castle. The movie tones this down, but in the book, there is an all-out battle between the Death Eaters and the Aurors, Hogwarts staff, and "Dumbledore's Army."

Coraline (2009)

Question: After Other Wybie frees Coraline from the mirror and is helping her escape, he takes off his glove and blows away his hand. Is something happening to him?

HulkObsessedChick

Chosen answer: Coraline urges Other Wybie to escape with her. He shows her that he can't - he is not a person, just another puppet of the Other Mother. What is blowing away is the sawdust Other Mother fills her puppets with.

Ioreth

He's just a temporary distraction.

Answer: It's because the other Wybie isn't real, he is just one of the other mother's creations. The other world is full of magic, so if he tries to go to the normal world he will turn into sawdust or sand because the normal world has no magic.

Question: According to scale, Cloud's buster sword blade ends at about his shoulder. If he puts it in his holster on his back, how is he able to pull it out with one arm, if one arm is half the length of one's body?

HulkObsessedChick

Chosen answer: Look at long swords and scabbards today. Often, the scabbards have cuts out of the sides so they can be removed easier.
