Cloak - S6-E8

Corrected entry: Ziva and Tony enter the secure facility by entering a pass code they obtained by watching the guards enter it previously. Once inside, they open another door using a pass code. How did they know that code? It would make no sense to have both locks use the same code, rendering the second door useless.

RoyT

Correction: Each soldier has a specific pass code which they use for every door throughout the building.

Veronica Guerin (2003)

Corrected entry: When Veronica leaves the court house, the Guinness lorry is still loading barrels of beer. She is driving fast, much faster than any lorry could, yet the same lorry is blocking her way miles further.

RoyT

Correction: The Guinness lorry pulls away from the courthouse before veronica. veronica gets in her car and dials a number on her phone and then pulls off. We were shown the lorry pulling away before this.

Wimbledon (2004)

Corrected entry: In the tennis scene when there are fast shots of Peter and his opponent playing, the spectators on the stands move around with each shot. This is particularly visible with a spectator in around the third row with a red jacket on, who seems to move with particularly every new shot.

RoyT

Correction: It is explained on the DVD extras that these are timelapse shots. They are not meant to be consecutive time wise. The spectators would move between each fade, and there are about 12 different shots.

White Chicks (2004)

Corrected entry: When one of the bad guys is pushed into the stacked champagne glasses, you can see that the glasses are glued together in blocks.

RoyT

Correction: True but not a mistake, that's exactly how it's done for large champagne fountains to save time when stacking the glasses and to reduce the risk of collapse.

tw_stuart

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie when the bad guy is looking through the visor of the sniper rifle, his eyes get enlarged in the front view of the visor. They should have been smaller, since the visor only enlarges things on his side.

RoyT

Correction: The rifle scope is made up of a series of convex lenses. This is a simple scientific fact, a convex lens "enlarges" things from either side of the lens.

The Village (2004)

Corrected entry: When Ivy and Noah run to the "resting stone" he asks her a question and the shot from the rear shows they are heading towards the sheep. Then the shot changes to a front view as Ivy answers, and the sheep are seen in the back. (00:19:00)

RoyT

Correction: The sheep are not kept in a pen in the village, they are free to roam around during the day. You are just seeing two different groups of sheep, one in front of them and another one behind.

Brian Dillree

Corrected entry: When the kids' face gets covered in blood, he tries to wipe it of, smearing it all over his face and hair. Later on his face is entirely clean, with a small bloody spot only. There is no way you get blood of your skin with a dry cloth only, and specially not in that amount of time with better things to do.

RoyT

Correction: He's disgusted and terrified by the fact that he has a dead man's blood covering his face, so it's an extremely high priority from his point of view. A cloth wet with spit or a water bottle (common on a team's bus) would work well enough to remove it.

Under Siege (1992)

Corrected entry: Seagal puts some stuff in the microwave that should explode when being heated. When the bad guys are in the kitchen, they hear the microwave beep, then the thing explodes. It's highly unlikely that a homemade bomb will explode at exactly the set time, down to the second, which is over 15 minutes.

RoyT

Correction: That is because Segal had turned off the power, so the microwave was not on. When the terrorists enter the kitchen, they turn the power on. Once the power turns on, the microwave comes on, and then explodes a few seconds later.

Bruce Minnick

You definitely hear the microwave ding just before it explodes. Makes no sense. This has haunted me for years.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: For Shrek, Fiona and Donkey it's a very long trip from the swamp to "Far Far Away", yet the mice etc. manage to get there quite fast after Shrek, Donkey and Puss were arrested.

RoyT

Correction: The dragon flew them there. It also explains how they got to the top of the tower where Shrek and co. are being held.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Donkey, etc. are in chains, he says something about not being read his Miranda rights. Although it's common practice to read these rights upon arrest, it's not a must. As long as the Miranda rights are read before any interrogation or questioning takes place, there's no problem.

RoyT

Correction: That may be true, but most citizens believe they are to be read upon arrest. The generalities of the law are more well known than the particulars.

Freddy Vs. Jason (2003)

Corrected entry: In one of the first scenes the two boys arrive at Lori's house, and while it's raining cats and dogs outside and one of them says "I'm soaking wet", their coats and other clothing are perfectly dry, as well as the sixpack of beer they're carying.

RoyT

Correction: Both Trey and Blake are both wet. Their clothes and hair, all wet.

Freddy Vs. Jason (2003)

Corrected entry: One of the boys escaping from the mental institution uses a keycard stolen from a guard or other employee to unlock the doors so they can get out. The next day he can get in using the same keycard. Wouldn't they have blocked that keycard after it was stolen?

RoyT

Correction: If you watch right after he swipes the card through, you'll notice the beeping in the security guard's quarters. The security system was rigged to trip an alarm if a stolen card is used so the location of the intruder can be verified.

Freddy Vs. Jason (2003)

Corrected entry: When the kids are looking on the internet for information on Hypnocil, the first line on the website states in very large letters that it's a drug to suppress dreaming. The next shot shows one of the kids reading the page to find out what Hypnocil is used for. Why did he have such a hard time finding the info, while it's there in huge letters?

RoyT

Correction: After Lindherman reads Hypnocil he skims through it and says something like: "pending FDA approval" then it takes maybe a second or two for him to say it suppresses dreams which isn't that long. Its possible that he was busy reading the fine print before he told everyone else what it does.
