Audio problem: Watch and listen when Marion is being held prisoner in Nepal by one of the thugs. As he seizes her, she's grunting in strain/pain. We can see this in the first, frontal shot of them. However, in the following side shot (from slightly behind Marion as Toht walks over with the heated poker), Marion's mouth is completely still and almost shut, yet her sounds continue (and these sounds would have to be made with wide-spread lips).

Rat Race (2001)

Continuity mistake: Tracy throws a wrench and other things onto her (soon-to-be-ex-) boyfriend's truck. Several dents appear, including on the roof. She also drops a can of orange paint which spills up the windshield. However, for the remainder of the movie after this scene (as her boyfriend drives it away and later Tracy throws him out and takes it herself), there isn't a single dent left on the truck. Not just as she chases her boyfriend, but for the rest of the film.

Rat Race (2001)

Deliberate mistake: There is a clear shot change as the monster truck lands on Blaine & Duane's Cadillac. One minute they have JUST fallen out of the car and fell to the ground, and the next they are at least five feet away and running, full-speed.

Rat Race (2001)

Continuity mistake: There is a shot of Blaine as he lays on the Cadillac's roof during the balloon/cow/keymaker/car chase. This shot is specifically for when Blaine snaps the hood ornament off of the Cadillac by accident, then stares at it in his hand. In the next shot of the car, the ornament is back on, and it stays on for the remainder of the scene.

The Mummy (1999)

Continuity mistake: As the sun is rising, Hamunaptra is revealed (a literal trick of the light). However, long before the sun is fully up (let alone directly overhead), Dr. Chamberlain is seen holding an umbrella over his head, blotting out the sun which is now shining directly *down* on him.

Monkey Business (1931)

Trivia: At one point, Thelma Todd is telling Groucho that she is living unhappily (and wants "freedom, liberty, justice, etc.). Groucho responds, "I know, I know, you're a woman who's been getting nothing but dirty breaks her whole life. Well we can clean and fix those breaks, but you'll have to stay in the garage all night." Less than four years later, Thelma Todd died of carbon monoxide poisoning as a result of being locked in a garage with a running car. There has been much controversy as to whether her death was an accident or not, even to this day.

Doug (1991)

Doug's Shock Therapy / Doug Is Hamburger Boy - S3-E11

Plot hole: Doug recalls previous years (in a flashback, where he was next to Skeeter at the window of the Honker Burger as they looked outside) of seeing the Hamburger Boy when Mr. Dink is confessing that he *was* Hamburger Boy. However, Doug has only been living in Bluffington for one year - this was his first summer there.

Black Knight (2001)

Plot hole: The legend of the black knight (in this film) is that he can breathe dragon's fire. Jamal somehow rigs up his aerosol spray-can inside his helmet to shoot out the flames. However, there are three problems with this: one, how did it fit in the helmet? Two, how did he activate the spraying mechanism without his hands? And three, how did he even ignite the spray? (00:49:15 - 01:13:55)

Audio problem: In the club in which Nancy is dancing (and Keung goes to talk to her), there is dance music playing. This is not a score to the film/scene, but rather an actual song being played in the club. Then why is there also a rock band playing guitars/bass/drums, and why can't we hear it? It's also quite obvious that the band isn't playing in harmony with that dance song in any form, either.

Rocketeer (1991)

Continuity mistake: When Cliff and Peevy anchored the statue into the ground in the field to watch the rocket in action, they use a wired switch to activate the rocket. However, there's something wrong with this: there is no wire visible leading to the rocket/statue.

The Sixth Sense (1999)

Trivia: Watch carefully as Dr. Malcolm walks away from his wife's jewelry shop - his jacket is open, and he keeps his left hand over his lower left-hand-side stomach...

Question: Why does Harry's scar hurt when he looks at Professor Snape for the first time? Obviously this is to arouse suspicion around the teacher, but later, when it gets revealed that someone else was really the host of You-Know-Who, *that* is when Harry's scar hurts again...although Harry looks at that person numerous times - even talks to them, and nothing happens all those other times. What's up with all this?

redbaron2000

Chosen answer: Remember how You-Know-Who is on the back of someone else's head? Well, it is You-Know-Who in the hall who causes Harry's scar to hurt - you can see 'someone else' is facing away from Harry so You-Know-Who would be able to make his scar hurt.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Jabba pulls Leia's chain, there is a long shot as she leaps up onto his throne, and he is holding his wine goblet in his left hand, and pulling her chain with his right. However, in the very next shot (in which he says "Soon you will learn to appreciate me"), the entire frame is reversed. This is evident in Jabba's holding the wine in his "right" hand, his higher-placed nostril (which is normally on the left on his face) is now on the "right," Leia's reversal of her armlet, etc. (00:29:20)

Bowfinger (1999)

Continuity mistake: How does Afrim "lose" his arm in the face-melting scene? He takes off his sunglasses and uses both arms to fold the sunglasses and throw them into the police car (he even uses his left hand to throw them in), and yet somehow his left arm drops off as it "melts."

Bowfinger (1999)

Continuity mistake: In Kit's restaurant confrontation scene, Carol's wig is being put on. In this shot, we see Daisy's arms are both up at her sides, as if she's twiddling her fingers (or something similar). In the next shot, Daisy's arms are behind her back, her hands clenched.

Bowfinger (1999)

Continuity mistake: When Kit is reciting "Keep it together" at his MindHead session, he holds his hands up in one shot to gesture at each word, but in the next shot, his hands are in his lap, folded close.

Key Largo (1948)

Continuity mistake: During the whole scene with the policeman waking up and confronting Rocko, there are several wide-angle shots of the room. The windows show fairly bright light coming from outside...it must have been a case of clear-day thunder and lightning, I guess.

Troy (2004)

Revealing mistake: Most of the Greek and Trojan armor, in their own respective ways, look more manufactured so they are perfect clones of one another. Real armor from that time would have had lots of imperfections and signs of being individually created and hand-crafted. (01:17:20)
