Halloween II (1981)

Factual error: The pagan religious festival Samhain is mispronounced: the correct pronunciation is more like "so-win." This is a character mistake on the part of Dr. Loomis, but as the movie makes him appear quite knowledgeable on the subject and gives it significant dramatic weight, it's arguably appropriate to attribute the error to production as well.

Scream (1996)

Factual error: At one point when the partygoers are watching Halloween, Randy alerts them about the "obligatory tit shot" and afterwards the viewers react with great satisfaction, however, in the referenced scene in Halloween, the naked breasts are actually kept out of frame.

Factual error: Father Lamont tears out the Regan doppelganger's heart from where her stomach should be. Even allowing that she's a manifestation of a demon and may not conform to human anatomy, it isn't plausible that Lamont would know to grab for her heart through her abdomen.
