Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the pillow propped up against the rear bed frame and parallel to the back of the erected laptop screen changes position a few times. The distance between the pillow and the open laptop varies from initially about one foot down to a couple inches (or almost touching). Continuity mistake: The way Max wrapped around and tied the cord to a decorative (inner) bed post is different immediately after he turns around to get back on his bed. The double loop, knot, and last few inches of the cord are instantly a single line that looks squarely clamped at the decorative post. Continuity mistake: During the back-and-forth shots of the Good Boys facing the school and the girls (Hannah and Lily), the long-haired woman (wearing a white blazer/jacket and skinny jeans) walking briskly from the left side of the screen toward the right side is not properly coordinated with the shots. Stupidity: Lucas was standing between some SCABs and the girl bullying the boy, but was looking in another direction. The other SCABs obviously saw the bullying but didn't respond. Lucas turned his head and saw the bullying and immediately intervened. The other SCABs didn't move and continued to simply stand there and watch. (01:17:16)

Revealing mistake: In music class, the position of Max behind Lucas would not enable Max to see Lucas' face to know he was crying or ask "what's wrong?" In this part of the scene, Max appears to be green-screened and his eyes are focused too far left of the back of Lucas' head (not just face); he would be lucky to be able to see a part of Lucas' left ear. Character mistake: At the skate park, Thor said he wasn't into girls because "girls are a distraction." Thor was interested in going to Soren's party because a lot of the popular boys were going to be there. When the "spin the bottle" landed on Thor, he said he couldn't kiss Brixlee and went upstairs. Hannah and Lily came home and told Thor it was OK that he wasn't ready for a kissing party and still had a lot of time before becoming interested in girls. Max previously told Thor that he wasn't as mature (sexually developed or undergoing puberty). Therefore, Thor's statement in the cafeteria about his new earring - that he "wasn't going for cute", he was going for "sexy and hot" - was incongruent and incompatible with his character.

Trivia: The music teacher, "Mr. K", doesn't have a listing for his full last name. In schools, only the first letter of a teacher's last name may be used when the name is very long (many syllables) and/or difficult to spell or pronounce. However, knowing that there is a "K" [ketamine] or "Special K" and Mr. K incorporated the use of drugs in a middle-school performance and apparently took a "sniff" of something in celebration of his "masterpiece" - the "K" appears to be symbolic. Moreover, the actor playing "Mr. K", Matt Ellis, is known for his voice-overs for (among others) two double-K names: Kotaro Katsura and Kyosuke Karasuma.

Revealing mistake: Benji was talking to Hannah in the back yard near the swimming pool and many feet away from Hannah's house. Eventually, a large white beam or horizontal area appears behind Benji's head. Although this doesn't make sense, it apparently is meant to be the overhang of the house. Benji was too far away from the house to be "under the overhang" plus the overhang is not nearly that wide. (00:19:40)

Other mistake: At the playground across from the school (Friday morning), Lily demands that the Good Boys give back the Molly pills. After Thor informs the other Good Boys that Molly is a "sex drug", Lucas screams to the girls, "You had us bring f-ing drugs to a playground? There are children here." Actually, Max was the one who told the girls to meet at that location. Max may not have been aware of the drugs, but he - more so than the girls - was responsible for picking the location. It is also noteworthy that Max and Hannah were neighbors. They could have easily agreed to make the drone-for-purse swap early that morning before going to school. Without Lucas, Thor, and Lily present, there would not be Lucas' concern that the girls might "trick or overpower" them. Max would have the drone back in place before his mother or sister noticed it was missing, he would not have to keep it safe all during the school day until he got home, and Lily would have her phone, driver's license, etc.

Other mistake: When Max finally kisses Brixlee, a green screen is understandably used to show kids watching in the background. However, it is a giveaway - Taylor's eyes, in particular, aren't quite focused on Max and Brixlee... or anything else there.

Continuity mistake: When the boys go into the woods to "sip a beer", the background changes several times. Most noticeably, there is a graffiti-painted wall or boulder that is clear, colorful, and directly behind ALL the boys on at least two shots. In other shots, the wall is completely missing, only partially visible, or very pale and at an angle.

Continuity mistake: At the skate park when the camera is on Max, Thor, and Lucas (in that order, on their bikes), the background changes a few times. The houses (which might change) and cars passing on the road show that the road is closer or further away and/or at an angle. People behind Max disappear but reappear in the same spot with camera changes in direction. When Max rides his bike a little ways to talk to Taylor, the pavement changes in color (painted areas).
