Men in Black (1997)

Other mistake: There is a mistake in the French subtitle translation. In the diner when the cook asks Edgar the Bug, "where's Ivan?" Edgar responds, "[I] gave him a break". The translator writing the subtitles must have thought he was saying "GIVE him a break" because the subtitle reads, "laisse-le tranquille" which means, "leave him alone". (00:42:10)

Factual error: The TV station in the movie is KGSC channel 10, and the building shown at the beginning for the exterior shots is in fact Santa Barbara's TV station, but it's channel 3 and its call sign is KEYT. There is no channel 10 in Santa Barbara. In fact, the only channel 10 in Southern California is in San Diego. (00:01:45 - 00:34:45)

Predator 2 (1990)

Question: Right after the Jamaicans kill Ramon Vega and the predator slaughters all of them, Jerry Lambert says, "she (Ramon's girlfriend) never made it". What could she have died of? She was seen walking with Leona Cantrell and didn't seem wounded, and the predator would not have hurt her because she was unarmed. If she were wounded, she would have been checked out by paramedics right away. (00:31:20)

Chosen answer: Jerry means she never made it to the hospital. Keyes' goon squad intercepted the ambulance and snatched her to interrogate her about the Predator.

Uncle Buck (1989)

Question: When Uncle Buck is going to the party to get Bug, he is stopped at a red light and there are two parents in the car next to him. The father says, "don't go in there with that hat on, they'll kill you". Why would someone be killed for wearing a hat?

Chosen answer: He's being sarcastic, as Buck says in the beginning some of his hats anger a lot of people, which probably connects to when his hat gets taken by one of the teenagers at the party.

Buck is actually referring to his aviator style hat in the earlier scene about people being angered by it. He's wearing the fedora style hat in the scene en route to the party. But I agree the guy was being sarcastic about teenagers.

The black purse bedside to the possible 'pile of bunched-up blankets' looks like Chanice's from later scenes; suggesting the writers or Hughes changed the script after the bedroom scene was shot to Buck's simpler but delightfully funny half-conversation with her on the phone.

Answer: The Uncle Buck movie was made in the late 80s, near the end of the Cold War. And Because the hat resembles the Russian ushanka worn by Russian soldiers in that time, it can be said that wearing it might anger some, especially young Americans opposed to world events at the time.

Die Hard 2 (1990)

Trivia: The fictional country that General Esperanza is from is Val Verde, which was the same country where Arius had been a dictator in the 1985 film, Commando, also produced by Joel Silver. (00:02:30)

Chosen answer: Scotty spent the best years of his career as the chief engineer of the flagship of the Federation: the Enterprise. His time has passed, however and the Federation is rumored to be planning on the Excelsior becoming the new flagship. It is a larger ship with a new, experimental warp drive. Scotty hates the Excelsior primarily due to his pride in the Enterprise but also because he is unimpressed by the design of the Excelsior. The trans-warp drive is easily sabotaged.

Audio problem: When Gilliam slams on the brakes, the tires make a screeching sound, but the wheels come rolling to a stop, ergo do not skid. (00:56:50)
