Question: Is it just me or is Philips on the verge of tears after Ham says he plays ball like a girl?
Answer: Yes, he is on the verge of tears. His voice cracks as well. This is a joke, telling a boy they play like a girl is insulting and the film exaggerates this for a good laugh.

Question: After Ron says they might chop his leg off, is it just me or can Hermione be seen smiling a little?
Answer: I watched the clip. Hermione does not appear to be smiling, though if she is, she is probably reacting to Ron's usual hyperbolic reaction to many situations. Hermione had said his leg looked "painful," so Ron then exaggerates, saying they might have to "chop it," as a means to elicit more sympathy. Both know the injury is not that serious.
Answer: Based on the way Hermoine's head is positioned in the shot, it's kind of hard to tell. Though a closer look will show that she does smile a bit after Ron says "They might chop it", just before the shot cuts. She likely found Ron's belief that he might lose his leg to be somewhat amusing. In the following shot, when Harry approaches Sirius, Hermoine can be heard off-screen saying "I'm sure Madam Pomfrey will fix it in a heartbeat", so she must have thought he was worrying about it too much.

Question: Why didn't Hermione use the time turner to save Buckbeak before Scabbers bit Ron, since she had it on her?
Answer: They needed to make it look like Buckbeak had escaped by himself. If they had freed him earlier, the Ministry of Magic would have believed that Hagrid deliberately released him, and held him accountable. They freed Buckbeak while Dumbledore and Fudge were inside Hagrid's hut so that the Ministry would know Hagrid was with them when Buckbeak "escaped" and Hagrid could not be blamed.
I'm not sure if I explained myelf properly. What I mean is, when Hermione was crying on Ron's shoulder, why not she just tell them about the time turner then instead of crying? Or just go back in time herself.
She's not allowed to tell anyone about the time turner. It's only after the events in the shack, when things are a lot more dire, does Dumbledore basically give permission for her to use it. She also had to sign to say she wouldn't use it for anything other than it's intended use. Saving 1 Hippogriff is not worth the risk of being caught.
I know she can't tell anyone but like I said, she could have done it on her own. Then they wouldn't know.
She can't mess with it and use it to do things on her own without approval. She was given it to be able to attend more classes and was specifically told not to use it otherwise.

Question: Why does Hermione look angry when Dumbledore is subtly suggesting they use the time turner?
Answer: She's not angry. She realises how serious the situation is, and is considering the difficult task Dumbledore has suggested he wants her and Harry to do.
Not to mention that what Dumbledore is suggesting is illegal under wizarding law and highly dangerous. She knows what could happen legally and physically if problems arise.

Question: Why did Hermione stop Harry from going after Pettigrew while Lupin was transforming?
Answer: For one thing, they're kids, and Hermione knows Harry is ill-equipped to handle this and he will just run off in a blind rage with no thought about what ti do. Hermione is methodical and always thinks before she acts and follows the rules. She wants Harry, who is impetuous, to do the same, and for them to work together.

Question: Why didn't Hermione cast immobilus on the Whomping willow when they were running after Ron after Sirius drags him into the shrieking shack? Or after it hit them back and they tried to get in themselves?
Answer: They didn't know a simple magic spell would work on it. Students were forbidden to approach the tree because it was so dangerous. In the book, the Willow was turned "on" and "off" with a secret switch located at the base of the trunk. Only the Hogwarts teachers and some staff knew about it.

Question: Is it just me or is Hermione's hair shorter in this movie?
Answer: It's a little shorter and curlier. The bangs are also a little different. It's hardly surprising since a few months have passed from the end of the school year in HP2 and the start of HP3, just before the new school year begins. All the younger characters have changing hairstyles throughout the series.

Question: Why is Katniss so protective of Prim? I have only read the first book so maybe in future books it's explained?

Question: Why did Thor let Cap have some of his drink that he said mortal men can't have. I know that Cap's super soldier serum makes him stronger, but he's still human.
Answer: By mortal men, he probably just means ordinary. Since Cap has super powers, Thor doesn't consider him ordinary (plus the we learn in Captain America: The First Avenger that his advanced metabolism prevents him from getting drunk). Since Thor also relents and allows the WWII veterans to partake in the drink as well, it's safe to assume he doesn't consider it to be deadly for humans to have.
Answer: Cap now has a superhuman metabolism, as shown in the first Cap movie when he was unable to get drunk after Bucky died.

Question: Hermione couldn't understand why Ron wouldn't wear what his mother made him for Christmas but I am curious, was Hermione wearing what Mrs Weasley made for her when they were walking down the stairs?
Then why would she not get why Ron isn't wearing it when she isn't wearing her own gift from Mrs Weasley?
Ron has a long history of being embarrassed by his mother's rather odd homemade gifts. Unlike Hermione, because his family was poor, he had few options on what else he could wear. Hermione, being a guest, would not be expected to wear her gift at any particular time. She also thinks Ron is over-reacting.

Question: In the hospital wing there is an object under Ron's bed but when Harry and Hermione go back in time it is gone. What is it?
Answer: Ron's shoes that were taken off him when he was put into the bed. That's why they disappear when Harry and Hermione go back in time. If you play it in slowmo, you can see it when they disappear.
Why were they taken off him? Pomfrey could still fix his leg if they were on.
Probably because it's simply more comfortable. Odds are good he would be spending the night in the hospital wing, so he wouldn't wear them to sleep.

Question: When Pettigrew begs Ron to save him outside the Whomping Willow, Ron looks freaked out. Why didn't Hermione, though?
Answer: If you mean why didn't Hermione freak out its been proven time and time again that Hermione is a lot more calm and in control of herself than Ron is. She was able to keep cool around him. Plus Ron was pretty hurt and probably in shock. If you mean why she didn't save Pettigrew its because she knows who he is and what he did, she finds him quite repulsive.
What I meant was she didn't seem weirded out when Pettigrew was all "sweet girl, clever girl" and I wondered why.
Answer: Ron's still in a bit of physical and emotional shock. He was dragged into the Shrieking Shack by what he thought was a vicious animal (Sirius Black) that was going to kill him. His leg was injured when he was being pulled through the tunnel and he's in pain. The biggest issue is his learning that his "beloved" pet rat, Scabbers, was actually Pettigrew, who, for the past few years, was constantly with Ron, being held by him, sleeping in his bed... Ron was totally disgusted by finding out of the truth. That's why Hermione's reaction is different.

Question: When Laura's foot claws come out why aren't there any holes in her shoes? Only the skin can heal from wounds, not objects.
Answer: It's just a continuity mistake. The blade rips a hole in the shoe, but the hole disappears later on... that's a continuity mistake. It's definitely not a plot hole. A plot hole is more a gap or contradiction in a film's internal logic, or when a film leaves out vital information. (Ex. If a character is established as having a deadly nut allergy, but is eating nuts later on with no ill effect... that would be a plot-hole).
It would only be a plot hole if somehow the lack of holes in the shoes was written into the plot that some effect on the plot. Of course, someone would probably correct the entry by saying she could have had a 2nd pair or they bought a new pair if it was integral to the plot.

Question: Wouldn't Thanos have been able to kill all of the Avengers and Guardians on Titan without trouble as he had 4 stones?
Answer: Well Dr. Strange used the time stone to see how they could fight him and they executed that plan, though as Strange knew they wouldn't win against him. Eventually Thanos did beat them but I suppose advanced technology and strength in numbers were a good advantage even if he had 4 stones. I think they intentionally went for speed and his mind as that's the 2 stones he was still missing.
Answer: Since they are in possession of the Time Stone and Doctor Strange is hiding it with magic, he may have decided to refrain from killing all of them, otherwise locating the stone afterwards could prove a difficult task.
Answer: He could have, but Thanos sees himself as merciful and doing the right thing. He fights the Avengers and Guardians in order to stop them and gain the Infinity Stones. He has no particular interest in killing any of them.

Question: What was Ron's joke when he said "Next time I see Crookshanks I'll let him know"? I knew he was making some sort of joke or being sarcastic. Can someone please explain it to me?
I don't understand why Ron would joke about that. He owed Hermione an apology. And why didn't he just say sorry?
They are just kids. He just doesn't feel like he should apologize to her for accusing her cat of killing his rat. There have probably been incidents of Crookshanks chasing Scabbers, it is a cat after all.

Question: Why did Thanos destroy the stones?
Answer: He does it for three reasons: 1) They served their purpose. His goal was to wipe out half of the universe and he succeeded. 2) To avoid the temptation to use them ("they served no purpose, other than temptation.") and 3) So that the destruction (his "work") will always be, that is to say it can't be undone.
Answer: He said "they had served their purpose" So he is arrogant enough to believe that once the stones had done what he wanted them to do he destroyed them as they were no longer useful. But its also possible he didn't want anyone to reverse what he did.

Question: Why did it take Thanos 3 weeks to destroy the stones?

Question: Where does the family live now? Did Winston let them stay in his house forever because he isn't using it?
Answer: The movie doesn't give an answer, since it doesn't really matter in the context of the story. But in all likelihood, the family will continue to reside in the mansion, at least for the time being. Winston loves the Supers, so he'd probably be more than happy to let them stay there.

Question: Were they originally going to have Scott and Clint in this movie?
Answer: I've read that the opening scene of "Endgame" with Clint and his family was originally going to be in this film. Ant-Man's inclusion seems doubtful since the post-credits scene for "Ant-Man and the Wasp" takes place at the same time as the climax for this film and Ant-Man is on the other side of the country doing his own thing.

Question: Loki was very edgy when Thor returned to Asgard and while I know why, why didn't Thor see through his disguise when he went to Asgard at the end of Age of Ultron?
Answer: Loki, in the guise of Odin, might have instructed Thor to go to another world when he returned to Asgard. What tipped Thor off that Loki was impersonating Odin in this movie was Surtur previously telling him that Odin was not on Asgard, and then Thor returning to Asgard to see Odin with a carefree and hedonistic attitude despite the Nine Realms having plunged into chaos, all the while watching a play that was glorifying Loki.

Question: This question might be more for the book, but Mad Eye said they would have to transport in ways the trace can't detect. But the trace would only detect magic used near an underage person. Harry is the only one who is underage. So they could have used a portkey. I understand that they need to cast a spell to make a portkey but they could have cast the spell before they were near Harry and then transported to the burrow. Or have I made a mistake?
Answer: The trace detects when an underaged wizard casts a magic spell whenever they are away from Hogwarts. It doesn't detect adult wizards using magic near a minor. If a portkey was used to transport Harry, it could have been detected when he touched it because he would be using magic. The safest and least detectable way to move him from point A to B, was to fly him there.
Answer: Two things. 1. You are not allowed to create an unauthorized portkey. The ministry must be aware of it. I think the incantation (portus) is traced. 2. Using a portkey is magical use, so the moment Harry touches it, the ministry would be alerted and possibly know where the portkey transported to.
Then how did Dumbledore get away with it in Order of the Phoenix when he made a portkey to get the children to Grimmauld Place?
Well he is an extremely powerful wizard and the headmaster of Hogwarts. I think he made it at Hogwarts yes? He could have had a trick up his sleeve to do it. Might be a bit more tricky for Mad-Eye and the rest whilst the Ministry is under control of deatheaters. Just too risky.
Also, using magic near an underage wizard isn't traced. Just when it is used by an underage wizard.
No, the trace is meant to detect magic used near an underaged wizard.
The wiki specifically says it's a trace of magic in the vicinity of an underage wizard, not the underage wizard him/herself. It's mentioned working like that by Alastair Moody in the books too.
When Harry used magic to repel the dementors that attacked him and Dudley in Order of the Phoenix, the Ministry of Magic instantly detected that he cast a patronus spell. He was immediately "charged" for using underage magic. What would happen when a young wizard was at home for the summer and holidays and is around adult wizards using magic all the time? The trace would be going off continually for every underaged magic person. It was mentioned in the books that if an underaged wizard did use magic at home, it could be confused with the adults who were casting spells.
Harry once got a warning from the "improper use of magic office" for casting a hover charm, even though it was Dobby who did it. I don't know where you get your information from, but it is wrong. The trace can only detect magic has been used, not who used it. This is explained by Alastair Moody in Deathly Hallows Chapter 4.

Question: Who are the two guys at the very start discussing whether or not to bring Johnny in?
Answer: The two agents are not named (their names are listed as "Agent Two" and "Agent One" in the end credits), but it is strongly implied that they work for MI7, as one of them says "Five years ago, he was our top agent", referring to Johnny English, who works for MI7. Their faces are hidden, but the important information is told to us; that they work for MI7.

Question: Why did Lupin and Pettigrew leave the shack ages after everyone else?
Answer: No specific reason is given and any answer is speculation. My take is that it is only about plot timing and pacing to serve the story line. After Harrry and Sirius exit the tunnel, they have a short conversation in which they solidify their godfather/godson bond. Sirius also offers Harry a home, if he wants. If Lupin and Pettigrew had come out sooner, this narrative would have been interrupted. After their conversation, Lupin and Pettigrew then emerge, and the story continues, building up to Pettigrew's escape.

Question: Since Trunchbull hates kids so much why is she an elementary school principal?
Answer: The answer is: "Power." Miss Trunchbull is a sadistic bully, as a school headteacher she can terrorise, frighten and dominate children and teachers. Also the job pays a good salary. She has probably arranged things so the other teachers do all the real work and the difficult jobs. She lives in a house attached to the school, so she gets free accommodation. She can run scams: for example the pupils must be fed, so she gives the catering contract to a company who pay her a "backhander." Thus she has a lucrative job where she does very little work. Plus, you cannot have a story without a villain to be defeated, so Miss Trunchbull is a brilliant opponent for Matilda.
Answer: It's a common enough trope to the point where it has become cliche. Stories set in a school will almost always have a teacher or principal (or both) openly dislike their students. Stories aimed at a younger audience will often exaggerate this to an extreme, where the teacher/administrator has a hatred of children in general that borders on insanity.

Question: Why was Harry taking Matilda to his shop as well? He said it would all be Michael's one day so why Matilda?
Answer: He doesn't bring her in the book, but in order for the plot to work out, they had to plant her there some way.
Answer: He probably wanted help, she was seen putting the bumper on the car with Mikey. He probably had other tasks for her to do, but she annoyed him by calling him a crook before he could give her more jobs and then Zinnia arrived shortly afterwards.
Answer: Just to bring her, as her guardian.
But she's always at home alone?

Question: Charles said it was two days since he last took his medicine. But it was only one day. Right when Logan was saying "You can't have an attack out there. Do you understand?" So why would Charles say two days?
Answer: Charles has dementia, which might explain if his memory is poor, but in this case it actually was two days since he took his tablets. He took two before they escaped the warehouse, they stayed at the hotel in Oklahoma that night and the next day Logan tells Laura to give Charles two tablets as he leaves (which she doesn't) and he has the attack. When Logan asks him "How long has it been since you took your meds?" that is the next day, as Logan then says "You saw what happened yesterday" referring to the incident at the casino. Logan did inject him with something which stopped the attack, but Charles may not have been aware of that given his state.

Question: Why wasn't Fury in the final battle? Or Hill?
Answer: Being regular humans without powers or highly advanced technology, they may not have been able to fight properly against Thanos' forces.
Neither did the Asgardians.
The Asgardians were there and they are superhumans.
The average Asgardians are all established to be vastly stronger, more powerful and faster than humans. Their soldiers even more so.
The remaining Asgardians were there.
Answer: Spoilers! Given what we see in Spider-Man: Far From Home it may be that they were offworld doing other vital work.
Answer: Since any reason given would be speculation, the easiest explanation is that they had something else to do in this, the one and only future where the Avengers won against Thanos.

Question: How could Bellatrix possibly have recognised Neville?
Answer: She's seen a picture? Been given his description? There are any number of possibilities.
Answer: I'd say this is a deliberate movie mistake to provide plot exposition. Bellatrix was one of the Death Eaters who tortured Neville's parents into permanent insanity when Neville was a young boy. It's unlikely Bellatrix would recognize Neville on sight, but this reveals her involvement in the Longbottom family tragedy, and shows that Neville fighting Voldemort and the Death Eaters is personally motivated.

Question: Should Nebula not have ceased to exist after the other one was killed?
Answer: No - as stated in the film, timelines/realities are independent from each other. Thanos/Nebula coming to "our" timeline means a new timeline is created where they don't exist any more, but we don't follow that one. "Our" Nebula isn't affected by the actions of the "alternate", because "our" Nebula's history is unchanged.

Question: What happened to Chozen after Daniel beat him? It's unlikely he'll show up in Cobra Kai.
Answer: There has never been any explanation of what happened to any of the characters who debuted in The Karate Kid Part II. The series Cobra Kai has so far focused only on Daniel, Johnny, and Kreese while introducing new characters. I wouldn't say it's unlikely Chosen would show up at some point, Yuji Okamoto (the actor who played Chosen) still acts regularly and could easily be brought to the series if the writers decided to focus on his character.

Answer: It didn't look like him. It appears to be a random student and not part of Johnny's group of friends seen throughout the film.
Well in that case, I heard Jimmy has two lines throughout the film and I figured they were both of the "yes sensei's." What are Jimmy's two lines then?

Question: Why did Daniel think Mr. Miyagi was making fun of him with the sweeping? He taught him how to block by waxing cars so shouldn't Daniel have figured there was something with moving the broom to teach him how to do a front sweep?
Answer: Daniel was frustrated with Mr. Miyagi because he would not support Daniel entering the tournament. He probably thought that Mr. Miyagi was making fun of him.
Answer: Daniel's an impatient kid who wants everything laid out in a clear, straightforward manner. He may have thought the "wax on-wax off" incident was a one-time ploy and believes from that point on the training will be more conventional. Mr. Miyagi has other ideas about his teaching methods.

Answer: It's a boarding school, but Miles wants to return to his old school. Miles made a deal with his dad that he would attend the new school and stay there during the week, even though he could commute as they don't live too far away. In return, he is permitted to go home at the weekend.

Question: I've heard that many people (Ralph Macchio included) do not like this movie. Is there a reason why?

Question: Why did Mr Miyagi refuse to train Daniel for the tournament?
Answer: He answered this question in the scene. He said karate only means something if it's used to defend honor and life, but means nothing if it's used to defend a plastic metal trophy so he doesn't want to train Daniel for a purpose he doesn't believe in.

Question: Why wasn't Johnny joining in when Dutch was making fun of Daniel? He hates Daniel more than the rest put together. He also wasn't even laughing.
Answer: This scene was intended to show that Dutch was actually the worst of all of them-cold, calculating, and cruel. Johnny was a spoiled rich kid punk, but not a bad person (as seen in Cobra Kai). He doesn't want to sweep the leg, thinks Kreese is crazy for ordering Bobby to put him out of commission, and even congratulates Daniel at the end. Dutch was legitimately a dangerous, possibly psychopathic, kid. He relishes in Daniel's pain and even urges Johnny on in the alley fight. Johnny was pissed, rightfully so, but it was Dutch who was the 'devil on his shoulder.' Also note in Part II when Johnny is being choked out by Kreese - Dutch is the only one who turns his back and ignores it. He doesn't help his 'friend' like the others.
Answer: He was being a good soldier standing at attention while his D.I. was doing all the talking.

Question: Where were the Durmstrang and Beauxbaton students during lessons? I never saw them in any and surely they weren't excused from their final year of education?
Answer: The Durmstrang and Beauxbaton students slept inside their respective vehicles while at Hogwarts. The Durmstrangs arrived by ship and the Beauxbatons on the flying carriage, which in the book was the size of a house. In the movie, they probably would have enlarged the interior with an extendable charm (like the Weasley's tent at the Quidditch World Cup. As most of the visiting students likely didn't speak English well, classes would be probably be taught separately, inside their living quarters or a designated space within the Hogwarts castle.
I thought there was one line in the books about the Beauxbatons students rooming with the Ravenclaws and the Durmstrang students with the Slytherins-or were those just their table assignments for meals?
I'd say it was only for meals and maybe the common rooms. The Hogwarts house dorms had a limited number of beds. There may have been some unassigned ones but not enough for all the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students.

Question: Why was Hermione being chased by Ginny in the tent? Hermione isn't the kind of person who'd do a harmless thing and make someone chase them for a joke.
Answer: Hermione is a 14 year old girl, having fun with a close friend. Of course they will horse around and tease and play. Hermione might be serious as a student and quite mature for her age, but she also knows how to have fun.
She is almost a year older than Harry, so that explains the maturity.
Answer: If you're referring to the tent scene at the Quidditch World Cup, I don't remember Ginny chasing Hermione, but the twins, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Harry are in high spirits after their favored team has won. All are jumping around, laughing and singing in celebration. If that's not the scene you're referring to, can you be more specific?
Ginny was chasing Hermione when Fred and George said "feet off the table"
I watched the clip on YouTube. Ginny and Hermione are excited after the group arrive inside their rented tent. The girls rush into where they will be sharing a room and drop off their gear. They then rush over to the other side of the tent, probably to where the kitchen is. Hermione is just running ahead of Ginny and is not being chased.

Question: When Kitty and Bobby were walking down to the fountain where are her shoes? She wouldn't wear skates obviously but I couldn't see her shoes on the bench when they were skating. I also knew she couldn't be wearing skates on her way down cause we see her putting them on her feet when she was sitting on the bench.
Answer: Bobby is carrying them (visible as they're walking to where they skate). Remember, he doesn't need skates because he makes ice blades on his shoes, so the pair he's carrying are for her.
Are you saying he's carrying her skates or shoes?
He's carrying her skates. Her shoes are never seen. You never actually see the entire bench so her shoes could be underneath. You also never see her feet before she puts the skates on so it isn't clear she ever actually wore shoes down to the fountain anyway. People walk around without shoes all the time.

Answer: If you mean how he got it back under control, he lured it out from under his bed and then stepped on it. He was then able to put the binding back on. The book stops moving if the binding is around it.
No I meant how did he lure it out. I don't get how that works.
The book isn't a very smart creature. No reason for attacking is given so it probably attacks anything that is in front of it, too close maybe, or anything that moves. Like a shoe.

The Tangible Affection Proof - S6-E16
Question: Why did they get rid of Alex after this episode?
Answer: Plot-wise, there was no reason given for her exit. She was a minor character, not a regular, and writers often write them out of a series without an explanation. The actress, Margo Harshman, did go on to work in a web series the next season and, following that, had a more substantial role on NCIS.

Question: Does Uncle Ben exist in this universe? I ask cause he's not mentioned by name but I thought I recognized him being referenced.
Answer: According to the writer of the film, yes Uncle Ben existed in this universe. When Peter mentions that Aunt May has "been through a lot lately" that was supposed to be a subtle hint at Ben Parker's recent death.
Answer: The trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home shows Peter using an old suitcase with the initials "BFP", most likely standing for Benjamin Franklin Parker. While not directly referenced in this film, the sequel may well clarify the situation.

Question: Aunt May subtly reveals, or at least implies, she knows Peter is Spider-Man when she's moving. Does she know in the comics? Because I remember in the comics she does not seem to like Spider-Man at all?
Answer: In the main Marvel continuity Aunt May does eventually find out that Peter is Spider-Man. Her memory is wiped of this knowledge later on.
Answer: In Amazing Spider-Man Vol 2. Number 35 Aunt May permanently finds out about Peter's secret identity and knows from then on.
That gets changed later on. Not sure which issue but it's after Civil War, she has her mind wiped after Peter gives her radioactive blood to save her life. I'm not entirely sure if that too is eventually changed but from what I remember Aunt May hasn't known his identity since Civil War.
Yeah it does switch around a lot. Dr. Strange made it so nobody will find out unless he wants them to. I suppose Aunt May doesn't know anymore then.
Keeping up with comic book continuity is an absolute nightmare.
I couldn't agree more. I've always wished for some kind of easy, interactive overview of what I was reading. I've actually given up on comics because of the hellish chronology. Well, except Judge Dredd which is pretty straight forward.

Question: Who is in charge of Oscorp now?
Answer: Donald Menken, the Vice President of Oscorp, framed Harry for covering up Max Dillon's accident and has him removed so he could take over the company. By the end of the movie, Oscorp would now be under his control.
But he was killed in a deleted scene.
Deleted scenes don't make for canon content - it has to involve a degree of guesswork. Some deleted scenes happen, we just didn't see them in the movie, others are movie ideas that were cut out precisely because they don't fit the movie as released, so didn't happen. No way to know which is which, and this is just a thought exercise anyway.
So this is possible that, at the end of this movie, Menken is still alive, right?

Question: What was the whole point of the conversation between Cap and Spidey saying where they're from?
Answer: It's just the irony that 2 people are fighting each other whilst feeling connected they are from the same city.
This is also Captain America's way of letting Peter know there are no hard feelings. He understands Peter doesn't have all the facts, so he doesn't blame him.

Question: Is it just me or does Rhodey seem annoyed with Tony in his first scene?
Answer: Rhodey's first comment while said to Tony Stark, was also intended to be for the audience. It was a tongue in cheek 4th wall break. Basically "yes audience, we replaced Rhodey, it's done, get over it, and let's move on with the movie."
Answer: Rhodey is not annoyed with Tony specifically, he is annoyed that he has to testify before the Senator and that Tony was asking him questions as soon as he arrived. He also wants to play down his friendship with Tony so that he doesn't seem biased in favour of Tony maintaining control of Iron Man.

Question: Why do many people consider this to be one of the worst Marvel movies?
Answer: Having rewatched it recently I thought about this. At least partly it's because *at the time* some people felt it spent too long putting Avengers pieces in place, introducing Nick Fury more, Scarlet Widow, Tony's dad's history, etc. In hindsight however that aspect fits perfectly with the other films that came after it, so feels much less jarring now. I'd also say that Whiplash was somewhat underwhelming, and Sam Rockwell was criminally underused. Personally I'd rate Thor: The Dark World lower than this, but would also argue that the "worst" Marvel film is very much a relative term, as while some may be better than others, they've yet to really release a true stinker.
Answer: I absolutely love the MCU, and I consider this to be one of the weaker entries. Not because of world building and setting up future films, I never had a problem with that. I just personally find the story to be a little lackluster, and the villain to be rather bland (to be fair, I always thought Iron Man had a pretty weak rogues gallery anyway).

Question: Johnny quit drinking in the last episode. Why did he go back to drinking in this one?
Answer: Because of the school fight at the end of season 2 - Robby injures Miguel.
The original question dealt with an episode of season 1. The school fight happened at the end of season 2, so it had nothing to do with why he went back to drinking in first season.
Answer: He quit being an alcoholic (temporarily), but Johnny probably wasn't planning on never drinking ever again, he just casually drank at the bar with Daniel.

Question: How did Loki know that it was Natasha who brought Bruce onto the Helicarrier?
Answer: He doesn't mean her, he means them, the Avengers, they have brought the Hulk on board.
When Natasha calls Loki a monster, he responds, "No, love, you brought the monster."
And with the "you" he refers to the Avengers, not her specifically.
Actually, it was Natasha who brought Bruce. She had been informed by Coulson that she was specifically requested to bring Bruce with her so Loki's comment "You brought the monster" was accurate.

Question: Why did Selvig free Thor, since he doesn't like him at that point?
Answer: Most likely because Jane convinced him to.
Also Selvig and Jane want to understand the Einstein Rosen bridge. They think Thor might be helpful and they don't trust SHIELD. And Selvig is starting to think there is a connection between the weird science stuff and the Norse tales from his childhood.
I don't think so.
Jane convinced Erik that Thor likely had some knowledge of the phenomenon they had seen. The photos they recorded showed him within the Bifrost anomaly.

Question: How could they pay for bills before Helen found out that Bob was fired?
Answer: Most likely Bob was receiving cash payments from his new "employer" and depositing the money into their bank account himself. Back in those days, wages were given directly to the workers from the employers, then the workers would deposit their wages into the bank during lunch break or after work. If the workers were married, the only evidence their spouses saw of a bank transaction would be whatever record the working spouse brought home.

Question: Why were Harry and Hermione messing with Ron when they got back to the hospital wing?
Answer: Because they were just having a bit of fun at Ron's expense. After saving Sirius and Buckbeak and going through a rather harrowing ordeal, they can now relax and enjoy themselves. The levity provides an "end point" to the main story, indicating to the audience that it has reached its conclusion.

Question: Why are Ali's friends with Johnny, Dutch, and Tommy at Golf and stuff? Surely they'd stay away from them out of respect for Ali?
Answer: Ali and Daniel are really the only ones that seem to have a problem with Johnny and his friends. Other than that, Johnny is well liked and popular. Even Ali's parents are fond of Johnny. Also, to be fair Johnny does seem to be genuine when he invites Ali to come along with the group and even invites Daniel along as well, though he does make a rude comment about Daniel while doing so. The Cobras have stopped harassing Daniel and only Daniel and Ali know the real reason why. Johnny and his group are still friendly with Ali's friends so they see no reason not to hang out with him. Ali's friends also unfairly dislike Daniel from the beginning because he lives in Reseda, so they are not the best judges of character to begin with.
Answer: They are in the same friend group and Johnny and Ali's break up doesn't really affect any of them. In the Cobra Kai series, Johnny said that they got into a fight before his senior year and figured things would blow over. So it sounds like them fighting was a regular thing and their friends were probably used to it.

Question: After Miguel said "Watch what I do to Robby in the finals" why didn't Sam warn Robby and ask him not to fight Miguel and then go home?
Answer: She didn't want to interrupt the match.
I meant while Robby was in the other room with Daniel.
Miguel didn't imply he was gonna fight illegally to beat him and he never did, the only illegal thing he did was pull on his arm. I don't believe Sam got that implication from Miguel that he was going to use illegal moves to beat Robby.

Question: Why did it matter so much to Ali's father that Daniel's from Reseda?
Answer: Ali and her family are very well off and are from a nicer part of town. Reseda is a lower income area. It's a typical "wrong side of the tracks" situation. Ali's parents would be happier if their daughter dated someone more well off. The theme of "never judge a book by the cover" permeates throughout the film and this is one of several examples. Daniel is a kind, caring, honorable young man and where he lives has nothing at all to do with his character. Johnny, who Ali's parents are more approving of because of his social status, is controlling, manipulative, petulant, and violent.

Answer: Rey states that she needs to train in order to help Leia and the Resistance. The message reminded Luke that once he too came to the aid of Leia, and in doing so changed his life forever. It also sparks a pleasant memory for Luke, he loves his sister dearly and the message reminds him of this.

Question: How did Riddle know that the people the Basilisk was petrifying were muggle born? It sounds to me like Ginny was his best shot at knowing, but how could she know?
Answer: It's easy to tell which students are Muggle-born. They have little knowledge of the wizarding world and need special training, their parents are not wizards, and Hogwarts, being a small community, makes it easy to know everyone's background. Ginny would have little problem identifying which students Riddle should target.

Answer: Not only was it disrespectful toward his uncle, when a kid Kevin's age says something like that, it is often attributed to overhearing and repeating what adults said. The implication is that Frank would now know what his adult relatives thought of him. They are shocked partly because they are embarrassed and feel guilty.

Question: Peter said Aunt May would stop him being Spider-Man if she found out who he was, so why hasn't she, given she found out the truth at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming?
Answer: This may be addressed in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" but without any sort of onscreen confirmation thus far, all we can do is speculate. Perhaps Peter was mistaken about how Aunt May would feel about him being Spider-Man, or he could have simply told her he would stop being Spider-Man but lied about it.

Question: Why didn't they just cast Avada Kedavra on the Horcruxes and then disapparate before the ministry could find them as I think they can detect the unforgivable curses being used?
Answer: The avada kedavra curse did not work on the horcruxes while there was more than one in existence. That was why baby Harry survived Voldemort's attempt to kill him using that curse, and why Voldemort could not be killed until all the other horcruxes were destroyed. The horcruxes could only be destroyed by a few methods, such as with basilisk venom or fiendfyre. The horcrux inside Harry was later killed by Voldemort using avada kedavra, but that seems to be because the other horcruxes had already been destroyed. Voldemort never knew that Harry carried a horcrux inside him.
Actually Harry survived Voldemort's attempt to kill him because of the love of his mother and her sacrifice. Voldemort's killing curse rebounded upon that love spell and caused a piece of his soul (already shattered from killing Harry's parents) to transfer to Harry. The reason Voldemort's killing curse worked to kill the horcrux inside Harry was because Harry was simply killed by the killing curse along with the horcrux and then the resurrection stone resurrected Harry, but not the horcrux.
That's true, his mother's love protected him. However, at the end, Harry wasn't dead-he was in-between life and death and he had the choice to either go back to the living world or "move on." He chose to return. The resurrection stone did not play a part in reviving him. There is still much confusion and debate over exactly when and how the horcrux inside Harry was destroyed.
He had the resurrection stone in his hand when he confronted Voldemort in the forest, that's why he had a choice, because of the stone. After resurrecting the stone was left behind.
That is incorrect. Harry is holding the Resurrection Stone while he is speaking to the spirits of his mother, father, Lupin, and Sirius. Just before he leaves them, he drops the stone, and it is seen falling from his hand to the ground in the forest "before" he goes to meet Voldemort. (In the book, the stone is left in the forest so that no-one will be able to use it.) The stone did not play any part in Harry being revived. You can watch the clip on YouTube.
Hm, yeah all right. But then he didn't actually use it, only to talk to deceased loved ones, which bothers me and when I'm bothered the ground quakes. I always thought its power worked on till the moment he got killed and then resurrected him.
The Resurrection Stone was only to bring back someone else from the dead, not one's own self. It had to be used by a living person who called for a dead person to return to the earth, though as Hermione read from the book (when the Trio was at the Lovegood house), the dead person was never really resurrected to a full living being again and did not understand the world they were brought back to.

Question: Why was Charles mumbling about Mrs Muffet and the spider when we first see him? Is it a side effect of his disease?
Answer: He's old and going senile, and is also quite sick and experiencing seizures. It would seem all the inane things he's droning on about (including Mrs. Muffet and the Spiders, and reciting a Taco Bell commerical) are just a result of that - he falls into delirious states where he acts completely insane before he gets his medicine, which calms him back down.
My impression, and I may be wrong, was that he was hearing random thoughts from people in the area and repeating them.

Question: When Logan said "oh so this is what it feels like" was he referring to dying or what Charles was talking about at the house?
Answer: I believe he was referring to two things here. The obvious one is dying, however I'm thinking that's less likely. As even though Logan always would heal before and come back, he has "died" many many times in previous events and would have felt that until his body regenerated enough for him to come back. Other than on maybe a religious level and if feeling the soul disconnecting from his body differently on a permanent death, it would be the same. What I really think he is referring to... is love. He is a father now, and accepting of it. His daughter is right there with him and crying over him, something that probably nobody has ever done for him in his life or a very long time. He is feeling that genuine unconditional love for the first time. He gets to experience what it feels like to be loved as a father moments before he dies, and I believe that is what he is referring to.

Answer: It's because Mary is upset that George bought two cases, because it is a lot.

Question: Is it true that the story Nick was telling Cap about his grandfather is based on Samuel L Jackson's grandfather?
Answer: Here's what he said in an interview: The thing with him is, you don't know if he's making up a story to get you to do a certain thing or if he's actually giving you a piece of himself. The great thing for me about that particular story is that is what my grandfather did when I was a kid. He actually ran an elevator in a hotel in Chattanooga, Tenn. That was his job. I used to go down there and sit in the elevator with him while he took people up and down. He got tipped that way and had money in his pocket or in a bag - and a little gun. He always had a pistol with him, some brass knuckles. I did not write that, it was just in there. It totally just happened that way. I chuckled about it. I was trying to figure out if I had talked about my grandfather in some interview somewhere years ago or something and somebody read it and put that in there. I never found out if that was the case. I think it's a true story for him.

Question: Why did the trio watch Buckbeak being executed?
Answer: Because they had some small hope that something would happen that prevented it, they stayed to see if a miracle would happen basically. They didn't want to see it of course, but they felt it too terrible to just not know if there was any hope it wouldn't happen and then miss it.
Answer: They didn't actually see Buckbeak being executed because he never was. They were far enough away that they only partially saw the executioner wield the axe, but he was actually chopping a pumpkin out of frustration because Buckbeak had disappeared. If they had been closer, they most likely would not have looked at all, not wanting to witness such a gruesome scene.
Thank you but I was meaning to ask why they stayed on that hill to watch instead of returning to the common room?
It's pointless to speculate what their reasoning for watching was because it really comes down to it being a plot device. The audience has to think that Buckbeak has been killed in order to propel the story forward. That is achieved by having HR&H stop atop the hill and watch what they think is the execution. It also is to convey their sense of grief and hopelessness.

Question: How come Sam and Aisha stopped being friends just cause Sam was hanging out with Yasmine?
Answer: Yasime was being mean to her.
But Sam wasn't. It was even obvious that Sam didn't like it.
Sam and Aisha were long-time friends and Sam wasn't standing up for Aisha at all. She continued being friends with Yasmine even though she was being cruel to Aisha. Being uncomfortable at Yasmine's insults is not going far enough to stand up for Aisha.
But Sam also didn't come to her defense either. So that's a good reason for Aisha to not like her.
Answer: Sam picked her prettier and more popular friends over Aisha. They still got along until Yasmine publicly humiliated Aisha.

Answer: Didn't think he had to.
Answer: While it's purely speculation, here are few ideas: 1. He didn't think he needed to. He now possesses the most powerful weapon in the universe and thought hitting Thanos in the chest would be enough. 2. He may have aimed for the head, but Thanos was trying to repel the axe, which caused the aim to be off. 3. He wanted Thanos to die slowly so that he could deliver his "I told you..." line.

Question: I thought Johnny and Daniel patched things up at the end of the first movie? So why do they still hate each other?
Answer: The first episode really only shows that Johnny still hates Daniel. Daniel is shown being friendly with Johnny when Johnny visited the car shop. Johnny was down and out and he was most likely jealous of Daniel's success. Only when Johnny was still giving Daniel a hard time did Daniel start feeling the hate again.
Answer: Actually, at the end of the first film (and by extension the beginning of the second), the only interaction they have is when Johnny presents Daniel with the trophy and compliments him on the match. Daniel never intervenes in the parking lot confrontation, and there is no indication that Johnny and Daniel have become friendly to any degree. This does not necessarily mean they've patched things up. Also, the previous answer that points out Daniel's initial friendliness and Johnny's hostility is correct.

Answer: On his home planet he ignored the rising population, causing a catastrophe that killed it. He won't have that again.
Answer: The time he allowed the leaders of his homeworld Titan to make the decision not to act on the overpopulation problems. Thanos sat by as the leaders (in his mind) did nothing and the planet was brought to ruin.

Question: How come the gang never knew about Gunther having feelings for Rachel?
Answer: He never openly expressed his feelings, but the friends also never paid much attention to him or thought of him as anything more than Rachel's one-time boss and the person who serves them coffee. Just before Rachel is to leave for Paris in the last season, she acknowledges Gunther's feelings when he says goodbye and that he loves her. She says she loves him, too, though probably not in the same way, indicating she knows what his feelings are.

Question: Why did the writers decide to have Snoke killed just like that? Fans have spent the last two years wondering about so many theories about who he is, so was it really wise to kill him that early on without even the slightest hint as to who he really is?
Answer: According to reports, JJ Abrams had different ideas for each characters' story arcs while he was directing "The Force Awakens"; when Rian Johnson signed on as director for "Last Jedi", he basically decided to ignore Abrams' ideas and create his own direction for every major character, including Snoke. Since there is still one more film left in the current trilogy, though, we may learn more about Snoke's true nature in Episode IX; the possibility also exists that he may return as a Force ghost or in a cloned body, at least according to fan theories.
Answer: I know this caused quite the uproar with a lot of the fans, but looking back at the original trilogy, how much information was known about Emperor Palpatine when he was killed off? None of this was addressed until the prequel trilogy many years later.
Exactly. I have made this same argument so many times. Back when the original trilogy came out, none of us were running around complaining that we never found out the Emperor's backstory.
I was merely asking why they decided to kill off Snoke this early.
To be more to the point of your question, it seems that Rian Johnson believed (in my opinion, correctly) that the Snoke character added very little to the story and his death would be shocking to the audience. As a virtual copy of Palpatine in almost every way, the audience expected Snoke to fill a similar role in this story and last well into the third film. By killing Snoke so early, you get rid of a pretty useless character and also shock your audience, leaving them with no idea what direction the story will take going forward.

Question: How did Vader know Han and the others would go to Lando?
Answer: The Falcon had a damaged hyperdrive (hence why it needed to go to Cloud City). As they fled the Star Destroyer, Boba Fett managed to determine the trajectory and deduce the destination. The Star Destroyer and Slave I were then able to set a course for Cloud City and arrive there first.

Question: A man said that after the two years of house arrest, Scott would have three years of probation. What does that probation involve?
Answer: Probation varies depending on the case, but it involves adhering to whatever conditions that is set by the court. In Scott's case it could include but not be limited to regularly reporting to a probation officer, not traveling out-of-state, avoiding certain areas, people, or activities, attending counseling or joining a support group and so on.

Question: The scene after Daniel and his mother are given bonsai trees by Mr. Miyagi, Daniel tries to avoid talking to Ali. But why?
Answer: He thought that she was getting back together with her ex, and Daniel's chief tormentor, Johnny. (I could be wrong it's been a long time since I've seen the film).
Answer: Remember the scene where they had an argument about Ali saying Daniel can't always run away from his problems (meaning the Cobra Kai). Daniel didn't appreciate the lecture, so snapped back at her and then avoided her until the Halloween party, when Miyagi convinced him to make up with her (young bee needs young flower, not old prune).
Answer: She was with her friends and her friends don't like him. So he probably just wasn't in the mood to deal with that. He also had some battle wounds from getting "pushed" down a hill on his bike and wasn't ready to face her yet.

Question: I've seen this video about how Daniel is the real bully. Can someone please explain how?
Answer: It is important to note that the video in question was obviously facetious in tone. However specifically regarding the fight on the beach, Daniel's fight with Bobby on the soccer field, and Daniel hosing Johnny down in the bathroom it could certainly be argued that Daniel either escalated the situation or directly instigated violent contact. Also of important note, the series Cobra Kai essentially lends credence to these arguments and paints Daniel as a much less honorable hero and Johnny as a much more sympathetic villain.
Answer: Like someone mentioned, that video was pretty much a joke. Daniel was never the bully and like others have mentioned in these q/as Johnny wasn't full bully either. Daniel did however have a temper and exacerbated the situations while Johnny let himself be egged on by Dutch and Kreese. In the Cobra Kai show, Johnny did also exaggerate to Miguel and the other Cobra's and even himself that Daniel was the bully, but he was just deluding himself. And you can see by his expressions that he knew he was lying. If you go back to the beach scene you will see Johnny was being an abusive d**k to Ali and Daniel was the only one that stood up for her. Johnny ripped her stereo out of her hands, broke it and got in her face. Yeah she got right back in his face, but this is when he, as the wrong party should have backed down. He did not so Daniel stepped in. If No One stepped in to help her, they would have been all disgraceful in my eyes. The show and movie are pretty nuanced and quite deep.
Answer: It appears that way at certain times throughout the film, Daniel tends to instigate fights such as getting involved between Johnny and Ali's fight on the beach, and spraying Johnny with the hose in the bathroom. Of course Johnny summed it up when he said to Daniel "You couldn't leave well enough alone."

Question: Does Mr Miyagi live at the same house that he lived in in the first movie?
Answer: It's the same house, but it's not unusual for a character's home, workplace, etc. to undergo slight physical changes in a sequel. There can be a number of reasons for this, but mostly it is logistical and/or economic. For example, Bella Swan's house in the Twilight movies looked the same, but in the sequels, the production crew built a replica of the house used in the first film. You can see that the property and surrounding streets are completely different.
Thanks but I just remembered that When Mr Miyagi and Daniel got back from okinawa, didn't he lose that home?
You're mistaking Mr. Miyagi's home for his janitorial office in the apartment complex in Reseda. When they got back from Okinaya, the apartment was being torn down, thus Miyagi losing his job/office. His actual "house" was not affected by this.
Answer: Yes. The backyard is still the same so it must be.

Question: Why is Hermione again spending her summer with the Weasleys instead of her parents? The thing with the world cup I sorta get and I might understand Grimmauld place but why this summer?
Answer: Hermione did not stay for the entire summer. She was at the Burrow (the Weasley home) for about a week before school started. She was there for a short visit and to accompany the other Weasley children to Diagaon Alley to buy books and supplies for the upcoming school year. Mr. And Mrs. Weasley then took her, Harry, Ron, and the others to the train station to board the Hogwarts Express. Hermione's parents being Muggles had far more difficulty navigating the wizard world on their own.
But Harry arrived a fortnight into the summer holidays and hermione arrived before him.

Question: Why did Mrs Weasley believe that stuff Skeeter wrote about Harry and Hermione? She knows Hermione and knows what kind of person Skeeter is.
Answer: Molly should have known it wasn't true, but her over-protectiveness regarding Harry may have affected her logic. Question: Since the board fired Norman in the last movie, how come Harry became the new owner after he died?
Answer: Despite being removed as CEO, Norman would still own the stock, which would then be passed on to Harry.
Did Harry have to take over or was it his decision?
It's always a choice to become CEO of a company.
Answer: Well Harry did want to keep his father's "Honor" and quoting from the first film, "become half of what he is." He didn't want to disappoint his father even after death. Or has a bigger goal in mind. But he did it on his own.

Question: I don't understand that when Cheng keeps picking on Dre, he's telling Dre to stay away from him and his friends. Can someone please explain that?
Answer: It is a common bullying tactic, telling someone to "stay away" from you knowing they cannot. Kids who go to the same school or live in the same neighborhood are bound to run into each other. It just gives the bully an excuse to antagonize the victim whenever they do run into each other because the victim isn't following orders to "stay away."
Answer: He dislikes how close he was getting with Meiying (Cheng's crush) and does whatever he can to scare him off so Dre doesn't talk to her anymore.

Question: Why does Hermione think Crouch is very lucky no one knows about him firing Winky (which she defines as being mean to elves)? A smart person like Hermione should know they'd care more about the dark mark than Winky being fired. I know how Hermione is with elves and I know it's weird to just fire her to Hermione (who did not know the whole story), But why does she think Winky being fired not getting out is lucky for Crouch when Voldemort's sign has just been shown for the first time in 13 years?
Answer: Hermione is saying that Crouch is a bad person for treating his house elf like that and that people would think the same if they knew it. She's not saying that the Dark Mark doesn't matter.

Question: Why does Hermione not care about Crookshanks trying to eat Scabbers?
Answer: There's a few reasons. Hermione thinks Ron is over-reacting about it and that he is only trying to blame her for something. She's also being a bit insensitive to the situation, ignoring any real concerns Ron has. It's part of their simmering personality conflict, which they eventually overcome.

Question: How come Hermione never receives a Weasley jumper? She'd earn one to cancel a trip with her parents after never seeing them to stay with the Weasleys and make sure Arthur was OK, surely?
Answer: Molly wasn't ignoring Hermione. She knew Hermione's parents always gave her nice gifts for her birthday, Christmas, etc. Molly gave Harry a sweater because she knew his Aunt and Uncle never gave him any gifts. She simply didn't want Harry to be left out when everyone else got something. Also, Molly knitted the sweaters herself, taking some time to make them. She did not anticipate Hermione being there.

Question: Why didn't Snoke even try to recruit Rey, as she is stronger than Ben?
Answer: Even if she is stronger, loyalty would also play a part in whether or not he would want to recruit her. Snoke probably knows that like Luke Skywalker, she would never turn to the dark side.
Answer: Snoke, like previous Sith Leaders, is a manipulator who wants to pit the other Force-powerful individuals against one another for amusement, to weed out any hesitancy in his apprentice, destroy potential rivals, etc. He knew that he would accomplish all of these by using Rey to test and torment Kylo Ren, but miscalculated Ren's own ambitions.

Question: Spoilers! Is Luke dead? It was just a hologram of him fighting Kylo Ren but the real Luke seems to have disappeared.
Answer: He is dead. Although a Jedi can still interact with the living as a Force Ghost, so expect to see Luke in Star Wars IX. It wasn't a hologram of Luke, he used Force Projection to be there. However, the act required too much energy and was too strenuous for Luke's body to handle, and the strain is what caused him to die.

Question: Why did Ben destroy the mask?
Answer: Snoke had just insulted him for wearing the mask and belittled him for his feeble attempts to become another Darth Vader. Ben smashed the mask out of anger, feeling he had given everything he had to Snoke and the Dark Side by murdering his father and all he got in return was a rebuke for his incompetence in failing to defeat the un-trained Rey. The smashing of the mask was symbolic of Ben's decision to stop trying to be what he thought Snoke wanted and just be himself.

Question: One of the cops said Matilda would end up in a federal orphanage once Harry was in federal prison, but can't her mother take care of her? She seems to have no idea that Harry's a criminal, and also where is the evidence that the mother is involved?
Answer: She knows. Listen to her and Harry after their TV explodes: "I told you that was a cheap set." "It's not a cheap set, it's a stolen set!" She knows that Harry is a criminal.
Answer: Also, when Zenia is talking to the cops aka speedboat salesmen, she's talking about Harry having money in banks all over the place.
Answer: It is questionable in what time period the movie is set, but it appears to be at least the 1970s or 1980s - or, after orphanages were replaced with group homes, foster homes, and other more child-friendly places. The threat of sending Matilda to a "federal orphanage" was designed to scare her and get her to reveal what she knew. Matilda could not be sent to a federal orphanage because they no longer existed.

Question: What exactly has Harry done to have the FBI watching him for ages?
Answer: He has been receiving and selling stolen car parts.
Answer: It is a federal violation to own/operate a "chop shop." Other possibilities include interstate transport of stolen vehicles or car parts, altering Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), and falsifying documents. After a VIN is altered, it is difficult to positively identify the vehicle as stolen and acquire the necessary evidence to get a conviction if the.case goes to trial. But it is the interstate aspect that makes the FBI the key investigators.

Question: Would Mrs Weasley's boggart have eventually shown Hermione's dead body as well? I know she's not family but neither is Harry, yet his was shown?
Answer: Mrs. Weasley certainly liked Hermione, but she did not consider her the same as she did Harry. Hermione had a family whereas Harry was an orphan, and Mrs. Weasley was a mother-like figure to him. It's unlikely the boggart would have shown Hermione's corpse, at least at this point. That would have changed after Hermione became her daughter-in-law, although Voldemort was dead by then.

Question: I don't understand why Lucius never looked for Voldemort, when he was one of his top followers up until now?
Answer: Voldemort was a cruel master. While he was gone, his followers did not need to worry about obeying his orders, or him targeting their family members. They shared his beliefs, but had more freedom and peace of mind without him.
Answer: To avoid being sent to Azkaban, he claimed that he had been placed under the Imperius Curse. The curse makes anyone who had been subjected to it to follow any order given by the person who cast it. If he had gone looking for Voldemort, then his lie of being placed under the Imperius Curse would be exposed and he'd be in trouble.

Question: Why were the Hunger Games invented? Was it to do with District 13 defying the capitol?
Answer: The games were punishment for a long-ago rebellion against the Capitol which resulted in District 13 being destroyed. The games provide entertainment for the Capitol, re-enforces the Capitol's power over the districts, and reminds citizens of their ancestors' lack of remorse for the failed rebellion. The districts must continually pay retribution to the Capitol by sacrificing two children, one boy and one girl, each year.
Answer: Hi! This is many years later, but it is explained in TBOSAS. The games were unintentionally created, a drunken idea between Casca Highbottom and Crassus Snow (President Snow's father). Dr Gaul had requested the two to come up with a punishment for the war that happened between the districts and the Capitol. The pair were drunk, but Snow plied Highbottom with more alcohol until Highbottom was drunk enough to form the idea of the games. When sober, Snow gave this idea to Dr Gaul and she then got to work creating the games once the rebellion was over. I may have got a couple of the facts wrong, but I hope this helps:).

Question: Since Lily is a muggle born, why did Voldemort offer to recruit her 3 times as well as James? He hates muggle borns. And why not kill her when she refused before when he set out to kill Harry? Also, why did he offer to let her live just cause Snape requested it?
Answer: Voldemort more than likely saw Lily as a valuable bargaining chip. JK Rowling revealed in an interview that Voldemort always planned on killing James (which is why his death did not count as a sacrificial love). The reason Voldemort agreed to Snape's pleas to offer Lily a chance to live, is because he rewards his followers (always at a cost, however). Voldemort likely agreed only because he probably thought he could use Lily as leverage to ensure Snape was at his mercy.
Answer: In addition to these other answers, if Lily actually decided to join Voldemort and became loyal to him, he might have allowed her to serve him anyway. He could appreciate a skilled, useful servant. After all, Snape was half-blooded, and surely other Death Eaters were too. Voldemort himself was secretly a half-blood. Hagrid once commented on how many Pure Blood wizards are lying about their background.

Question: I know Kreacher hates Sirius, but as Regulus died to bring Voldemort down, like Harry said, isn't that a betrayal to Regulus' memory? Going to Voldemort with information he could use? Especially as Kreacher nearly died thanks to Voldemort.
Answer: Kreacher's thinking is linear and isolated. He didn't only serve Regulus, but the entire House of Black, who were Slytherins, pure-bloods, and loyal to Voldemort. Kreacher has not yet realigned his thinking, and it is Harry, his new master, whose continued kindness to him, that eventually changes his belief's and allegiance.

Question: I've heard that Lucius was right in Voldemort's inner circle so why is he treated even worse than Pettigrew?
Answer: In addition, Lucius is directly responsible for the destruction of his first horcrux, the diary, for the frivolous reason of trying to discredit Arthur Weasley.
Voldemort was angry with Lucius because he repeatedly failed him. Lucius smuggled the Diary Horcrux into Hogwarts via Ginny, the plan failed. Lucius also failed to retrieve the prophecy orb from the Ministry of Magic, resulting in a huge battle and certain Death Eaters being sent to Azkaban prison. Voldemort usually severely punished anyone who failed him.
Except Voldemort was still in hiding in Albania when Lucius did this. He never told Lucius to give it to Ginny.
Lucius took advantage of an opportunity to use Ginny to get the Diary into Hogwarts rather than as an act to discredit Arthur. He couldn't risk giving it to Draco, who he would not have trusted to carry out the mission.
Except that Lucius putting Tom Riddles' diary into Ginny's cauldron happened in "The Chamber Of Secrets." Not in this movie. The question was why Voldemort treated Lucius even worse then Pettigrew.
It might have happened in an earlier movie, but that doesn't mean Voldemort forgot.

25th Mar 2018
Question: Since Voldemort didn't know house elves could have apparated in and of the cave, why did he need Kreacher to test the defences? Why not just have Regulus?
Answer: As you have pointed out, Voldemort didn't know Kreacher could apparate in and out of the cave because house elves have their own magic that wizards do not. Voldemort's arrogance led him to many oversights, this being one of them. Because Voldemort considers house elves to be nothing more than vermin, he would rather sacrifice them instead of a (to his knowledge) loyal death eater who could potentially aid him in the future.
Answer: In The Half-Blood Prince, we learned that only one wizard could cross in the boat. Kreacher is not a wizard, and Regulus is.

Question: Why did Voldemort kill Thicknesse?
Answer: There was no reason other than Voldemort's cruelty was spontaneous and unpredictable, and he had no feeling for or loyalty to anyone, even those who faithfully served him. If someone even slightly displeased him, showed weakness, or failed him in any way, Voldemort would kill or horribly punish them, depending on his mood at the time. Thicknesse just happened to speak up when Voldemort was particularly displeased, resulting in his death.

Question: Why did Cheng present the trophy to Dre and why did they all bow to Mr. Han?
Answer: Because Dre has finally earned Chengs respect. The other Fighting Dragons bowed to Mr. Han because in China bowing is shown as a sign of respect as they see that he is a better teacher and a kinder master then Master Li.
Since this movie mirrors the 1984 original movie, this is like how Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and the Cobra Kai's (excluding Dutch [Chad McQueen]) finally respect Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio), after the latter defeats Lawrence-The only difference is that the Cobras do not bow to Mr. Miyagi.

Question: When they were hiding behind the pumpkin patch, what was the noise that made Hermione turn around?
Answer: Hermione heard a twig snap behind her. It was the time-traveling Hermione, who was hiding in the trees with the "other" Harry. They are waiting to steal Buckbeak in order to save him from execution. When Hermione heard the sound, she started to say, "I thought I just saw..." then abruptly stopped. She must have realised that it was her alternate self, and not wanting Harry or Ron to know, then dismissed it as being nothing.
4th Mar 2018
Question: Can someone please explain what the difference is that they're talking about at the end of chapter twenty three?
Answer: They're talking about the difference between free will and fate - choosing for yourself vs. being forced to do something. Harry feels trapped by the prophecy, because he thinks it means he is obligated to fight Voldemort to the death, whether he chooses to or not. Dumbledore explains that this is not the case: while it's true that ultimately, one of them will end up killing the other, it doesn't have to be that way: Harry has a choice. It's just that, because Voldemort killed his parents and threatens everything he cares about, Harry will never be satisfied till he has destroyed Voldemort; and because Voldemort thinks Harry is a threat to him, he will never be satisfied till Harry is dead. The difference, then, is that Harry will be choosing this fate, rather than being dragged into it with no say in the matter: he has control of his own choices and his own life, and that makes "all the difference in the world."

Question: Why does Mrs. Weasley buy some dress robes for Harry and get old ones for Ron? If she's buying clothes for Harry (a famous child) over someone from her own family, couldn't that give Ron the impression that she cares more for Harry than her own family?
Answer: Keep in mind that when his parents died, Harry was left a moderately large inheritance. If memory serves, Mrs. Weasley mentions stopping at his Gringotts vault to get some money on his behalf for school supplies. So while Ron's dress robes may be a little shabby and secondhand, given how tight his family's expenses are, Harry's are nicer because his wealth allows him more wiggle room. Who Molly cares about more, or Ron's inference thereof, has got nothing to do with it.
Answer: I agree with what Cubs Fan said, and I want to point out that Mrs. Weasley knows what Harry's life with the Dursleys is like. She probably wanted to buy him dress robes because he is treated badly at home. Ron almost never gets new clothes because his family is poor. Harry almost never gets them because the Dursleys choose to make him wear Dudley's old clothes. They deliberately spoil Dudley and neglect Harry.

Question: How come Charlie didn't go to the burrow for Christmas?
Answer: In the books, Charlie worked with dragons in Romania, so it may have been that he was too busy and too far away to make the trip back home for Christmas. For the purpose of the movie, there is no explanation given, but it is less confusing to have fewer characters present if they serve no real purpose to the story line. Charlie Weasley has always been a minor background character.

Question: When Crookshanks seems to have eaten Scabbers, why are they blaming Hermione? Surely they don't think she set Crookshanks after Scabbers?
Answer: It is only Ron who is blaming Hermione. He has a rather excitable nature and often is at odds with Hermione, so he has jumped to the (wrong) conclusion that it was Crookshanks who must have killed Scabbers. Hermione was rightly criticized for being a bit insensitive towards Ron, which also infuriated him.
Answer: Crookshanks was Hermione's cat, after all. Why would Ron not blame her?

Question: When Voldemort said that one death eater is too cowardly to return and will pay, is he talking about Karkaroff? Also, was Snape the one who Voldemort thought had left him forever and will be killed of course? If so, why didn't Voldemort kill him the first chance he got?
Answer: Most surmise that "one, too cowardly to return...he will pay" is Karkaroff, and "one, who I believe has left me forever...he will be killed, of course" is Severus. Voldemort did not end up killing Severus because that night he returns to Voldemort, as per Dumbledore's instructions, and explains that he's always been loyal to Voldemort by spying on Dumbledore to be privy to useful information.

Question: What was Harry talking about when he told Neville he was doing it again?
Answer: Since Harry was hanging out with Neville more (lack of Ron around), it sounds as if Neville had been driving Harry a bit up the wall, with Neville's nonstop comments about things he was finding/doing. So when Neville exclaimed aloud, "Amazing, amazing," Harry told him, "Neville, you're doing it again."

Question: Since Fudge was trying to get rid of anybody in contact with Dumbledore why did he not fire Arthur?
27th Jan 2018
Question: How come they stopped with this movie and didn't make any more?
Answer: There's a plethora of reasons, as others have said. This film had a relatively large budget (projected between $200-$290 million depending on the source), but was the lowest-grossing film of the franchise, bringing in only about $700 million worldwide when it was expected to be a potential billion-dollar film. Critical reception was lukewarm at best, and fan-reception was very mixed, whereas most of the previous films were received very positively. (Even "Spider-Man 3" fared better in general with critics and fans.) Andrew Garfield was having issues with the studio and executives, and rumor has it that he was possibly going to be fired after showing signs of disrespect towards Sony. (In part because Garfield had serious issues with them for interfering with the production of both "Amazing Spider-Man" films and making demands/undermining the story to set-up future films.) There were already a lot of issues building up behind the scenes because Sony was hoping to use this film to set up about a half-dozen more sequels and spin-offs, and they panicked when it wasn't the huge hit they hoped for. Finally, talks began with Marvel/Disney after its release, and Sony opted to reboot and "share" the character with Disney so Spidey could join the MCU.
Answer: Reviews and box office returns weren't up to studio expectations. In addition, the director and Andrew Garfield both expressed not wanting to return to the series. Those, combined with talks to Marvel, resulted in the franchise stalling.
Answer: Actually, the timeline is a bit more muddled, since serious talks with Marvel and Disney about the rights to Spider-Man didn't really take off until after this movie bellyflopped at the box office. That's when Marvel offered them the shared custody that ultimately resorted in Spider-Man:Homecoming, where it's Marvel that has the final say in the creative process.

Question: When Harry, Ron and Hermione arrive at the Lovegood house, why do they all sigh Luna's name?
Answer: Luna has an odd, quirky personality and does not interact well with people or view life as others normally do. Harry, knowing what it's like being an outcast, likes her, but she tries his patience. Ron does not particularly like her, and both he and Hermione generally avoided her at Hogwarts, even though she was a member of Dumbledore's Army. Harry, Ron, and Hermione know they need help from Luna's father. He, too, is rather eccentric, and the three are just preparing themselves for what the coming interaction is going to be like.

Question: How come Drake only gets a D- on a test when the score is 87%? Shouldn't that be an A?
Answer: First, an 87% on a test would be a "B." But Drake says that test bumps his overall class grade to a 66, which is the "D-" they're talking about (before the test Drake was failing, so his overall grade was a 59 or lower). Although a "D-"is typically a 60-62 and a 66 would be just a plain "D."

Question: At the end of the book, Harry's worst suspicions about Mr and Mrs Weasley had been confirmed, but what were those suspicions? Was it that they still thought that Sirius wasn't innocent?
Answer: While Uncle Vernon had been waiting for Harry to arrive, Vernon was "standing a good distance from Mr and Mrs Weasley," who were also waiting near the platform's barrier, and it's Vernon who was "eyeing them suspiciously." Vernon suspected that Molly and Arthur were of the dreaded Wizardkind, so when Molly hugged Harry on the platform, Vernon's "worst suspicions about them seemed confirmed" so he knew he was right. And we all know how Vernon hates the wizarding world.

Question: How did Lupin know that they were staying at Grimmauld place? Arthur said do not reply as they're being watched so how did Remus find out? Did he just guess?
Answer: It was an educated guess. Grimmauld Place not only belonged to Harry, having inherited it from Sirius Black, but it was the former headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. Only a few Order members knew its secret location and how to enter. It was one of the safest and most secure places Harry could be at, and Lupin would likely check to see if he and the others were hiding there.

Question: When Ratha and Peter were talking about Peter's father, what did Connors mean by "I had nothing to do with that"? What did he have nothing to do with? Also, what did Ratha mean when he said Peter's father wore it well and what did Connors say that apparently Richard said? Also, Ratha said "Is that what you told his son Peter"? How did Ratha know that Connors had met with Peter?
Answer: Dr. Connors says "I had nothing to do with that" in reference to Richard Parker's apparent death. Ratha was implying that Connors was complicit in the death, to which Connors disagrees. When Ratha says "Richard Parker wore it well" he was talking about the indignation Connors was expressing about speeding up human trials. Apparently, though it is only vaguely mentioned in the film, Connors and Parker had already violated ethics with regards to the project. The thing that Connors said that apparently Richard Parker also said was that speeding up human trials was wrong. Ratha knew that Peter met with Connors because he had been spying on Connors.

Question: Why did Ginny and Dean split up?
Answer: It was never a serious relationship. Ginny had always had a crush on Harry and only started dating Dean when she thought Harry would never be interested in her. Dean and Ginny got on well at first, but Ginny was always defensive if any other student, including Dean, was in any way critical of Harry. Dean, to keep the relationship going, worked hard to always appease Ginny and stay on her good side. Unfortunately, this tactic annoyed Ginny, and later led to her breaking up with Dean.

Question: What was so obvious about the story about Hermione was making up to Borgin?
Answer: Aside from the fact that Hermione is obviously a terrible liar and her dialogue is suspiciously inquisitive for someone who often buys and sells dark artifacts, wizards can use Legilimency to determine if someone is lying.
Legilimency is a rare talent among wizards- only Snape and Voldemort are known to have practiced it openly in the books. It is more likely that Hermoine has no idea how to act like a bad person, let alone a Death Eater.
Bellatrix was using it. She apparently taught Occlumency to Draco - Snape guesses this during a conversation with Draco.

Question: When Connors says "I won't" to Ratha, what would he not do?
Answer: Ratha tells Dr. Conners he has to skip primate testing and go directly to human trials with his cross species DNA genetics research. Dr. Conners says no, he doesn't have to and no he won't do that. In the scientific community, most research, especially the kind Dr. Conners is working on, involves testing on primates before humans for the safety of the human subjects.

Question: Where were Toomes and the gang after they were fired?

Question: Voldemort said Lucius has no need for a wand anymore. Without a wand he really is useless, so why not just kill him and his family earlier due to having no faith in them?
Answer: There's no known explanation. For one, it serves the book's plot to keep Lucius and his family alive throughout the series. For another, Voldemort liked mentally torturing his victims, stretching out their fear and misery for as long as possible for his amusement. He may also have felt that the Malfoy's usefulness had not yet entirely run out.

Question: I don't get why Amy invites herself to Penny and Bernadette's girls' night when she already made plans. Can someone please explain this?
Answer: There's several factors that mainly revolve around Amy never having any real girl friends growing up (she had never even been to a slumber party). Also, she never had a girls night out before and would rather do that then hang out with boys. She was only going to the movie because Sheldon was going, but had no real interest in it. She also wants to spend as much time with Penny as possible.

Question: I don't understand why Barker couldn't get unbuckled in the car. Why couldn't Artie just remove his hand from the seat belt?
Answer: It's demonstrated throughout the film that Artie struggles with the modern way of doing things. This may extend to modern car seat belts with their five point harness systems. That and the fact they're already late for school and holding up the traffic makes it a stressful situation for Artie and it was probably easier (and to add comedy) for Artie just to rip the seat out with the boy still in it.

Question: I know Voldemort has lost all faith in Lucius, but why break his wand when he is needing a wand to kill Harry?
Answer: He didn't break it. Lucius' wand had some kind of custom-made handle which Voldemort snapped off when he confiscated it.
Answer: Lucius' wand was part of his walking stick. The wand, that was attached to an ornate silver handle, fit into the cane's shaft and was removable. Lucius can be seen removing the wand from the cane at the end of Chamber of Secrets when he was about to curse Harry. When Lucius hands the wand to Voldemort, the Dark Lord detaches the silver handle from it. The "snapping" that was heard was an added sound effect that was a bit overdone.

Question: How come Toomes was in such a bad mood when we see him after he threw Spider-Man into the ocean?
Answer: He's angry because one of his men was using one of their alien weapons out in the open.

Question: In the duel between Grindelwald and Aberforth, whose side was Albus on?
Answer: Technically, he was on neither side. When Aberforth found out that Albus and Grindelwald had been collaborating on suppressing non-magical humans, he was outraged and strongly opposed his brother; it led to the three-way duel between Aberforth, Albus, and Grindelwald that resulted in Ariana's accidental death. Although Albus had rejected Grindelwald's beliefs and later defeated him in their own duel, the two brothers never fully reconciled.

Question: Was the resurrection stone hidden in the ring, or was it the ring itself?
Answer: The resurrection stone, one of the three Deathly Hallows, was hidden inside the Quidditch snitch that Dumbledore left Harry in his will. When Harry touched his lips to the snitch, it opened and released the stone. Voldemort had made Tom Marvolo's ring into a horcrux, but the ring itself was not one of the Deathly Hallows. Voldemort never knew that the ring's gem was the resurrection stone. When Dumbledore later found the ring, he removed the stone and hid it in the snitch.

Question: Did Mary really think that telling Georgie Jr. Sheldon was getting a haircut would work when they got back and he noticed Sheldon's hair was exactly the same?
Answer: It is shown numerous time in The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon that Georgir Jr is not the smartest kid going. They simply tell him Sheldon is getting a hair cut as it is believable. It's also shown that Sheldon has had the same style hair cut since he was 5. Since he is 9 in Young Sheldon, he's had the same style for over 4 years already. Easy to overlook that he hadn't actually had it cut after that long.

Question: I really don't understand why K called J? All he said was that he owed him some answers, Regret was the most destructive force in the universe and that he promised him the secrets of the universe and nothing more?
Answer: They had a falling out and K felt like he had to try and patch things up with J.
5th Dec 2017
Question: J said that that's not what he was asking O, so what was he asking her?
Answer: Earlier in the movie, the way K was talking about Boris was different than what J had come to expect of his partner. So J wanted to know what happened between Boris and K at Cape Canaveral that changed him. So more of what did Boris do to K rather than just the report of what K did.

Answer: She may hate her powers, but she also hates being persecuted for being a mutant when it's not her fault. Plus, she truly does think Bobby is gifted and that his mutant powers are special (they were able to share a kiss because of his powers).
Answer: She does, but she also knows her situation is not everybody's (her power kills people, Bobby's makes nice ice flowers), and as a fellow mutant and Bobby's friend she comes to his defense.

Question: Why did Hermione keep telling Harry to go when they were out of the shrieking shack? And where did they want him to go?
Answer: Hermione was telling Harry to go over to Sirius, who had gone a little further ahead. Harry was torn between tending to Ron, who'd injured his leg, and wanting to talk to Sirius. Hermione thought it more important for Harry and Sirius to talk while she stayed with Ron. Harry had only found out moments before that Sirius was not responsible for murdering his parents, and he had much to discuss with his godfather.

Question: Did Magneto get his powers back because the cure is not permanent, or is he just to powerful to be cured?
Answer: The implication is that the cure was ineffective. Magneto has full control of his powers by the time we see him in the mid-credits scene of "The Wolverine." Rogue, who also received the cure in this film, has her powers back in the extended edition of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which takes place in the same timeline as this film up until the very end of it.
Answer: The cure is only temporary. The Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past makes this explicitly clear as Rogue has also regained her powers after taking the cure.

Question: I don't get why Daniel yelled at Mr Miyagi. Can someone please explain why?
Answer: Miyagi was not going to help Daniel train for the upcoming tournament just for Daniel to win a trophy. He felt karate should be used for defence in real-life situations only. Daniel was being secretly trained by Terry Silver, who was actually trying to hurt Daniel and brainwash him to be against Miyagi's ways of Karate. This all caused the anger Daniel had for Miyagi throughout many scenes as he simply felt Miyagi was not helping him.

Question: Why did Sirius take Winky being fired so seriously?
Answer: The reason the Crouches gave for her being fired was for something that was a relatively minor offense, not normally warranting dismissal. Sirius suspects that Winky was actually fired for having done something more serious and that the Crouch family was covering it up. He was correct because Winky was fired because she had failed to keep Barty Crouch, Jr. (who was kept hidden under an invisibility cloak) under her control while at the Quidditch World Cup. Barty got away from her and was the one who cast the Dark Mark in the night sky with Harry's stolen wand.

Question: Why did Harry tell Griphook to give Hermione the sword to hold when they were leaving shell cottage? Was it so Griphook couldn't leave them before they got the horcrux?
Answer: Harry did not trust Griphook to follow through on his end of the bargain if he was given the sword beforehand. He had the sword put in Hermione's bag for safekeeping. Anything inside the bag was immediately shrunk in size. It would be kept there until after they retrieved the cup horcrux from the Lestrange vault in Gringotts.
Nothing in the book or movie states that anything in Hermione's bag is shrunk, rather a charm is put on the bag, similar to that of The TARDIS, giving more room inside the bag.

Question: Since Yukio obviously didn't love Sato, how is it an insult to his honour for Mr Miyagi and Yukio to marry?
Answer: Marriage isn't always about romantic love and many are entered into for a variety of reasons, and depending on the culture, there are many different views and beliefs regarding what constitutes wedlock. Just because someone wasn't in love with their spouse, does not mean they didn't respect that person, their union, or the overall institution of matrimony.

Question: When Lily was sorted into Gryffindor why did she give Snape an awkward smile?
Answer: She did not smile at him in particular. She was smiling in general, due to her nervous excitement about attending Hogwarts and being sorted into her House. Also, if the Sorting was performed in alphabetical order of last names - as it was in Harry's first year - then she was being sorted before Severus. Her last name, Evans, would be called before his. She did not yet know that he would be placed in a different House. After he was placed, she might have felt more awkward.

Question: I've only ever guessed this but am I right in thinking that the reason Harry wasn't expelled from Hogwarts because they thought he'd be safe from Black only there? Is that also why they wouldn't overlook Harry's Hogsmeade form not being signed?
Answer: Harry's protection from Black was always the first priority, but the reason Harry was wasn't expelled from Hogwarts was because he never did anything that warranted permanent dismissal. The incident with Aunt Marge was provoked by Harry's family and Dumbledore never would have held him fully accountable. Any other school rule-breaking on his part was never anything more than what other students had engaged in and resulted in being punished in an appropriate way. The school would never have overlooked Harry's unsigned form. If a parent or guardian did not sign it, then the school would not allow a student to participate in any activity that needed parental permission. That was the rule.

Question: I've heard that this movie shows some Ron and Hermione moments that weren't in the book, can someone please tell me what they are?
Answer: The moments are brief but important to those who ship Ron and Hermione. Basically, it's just a few moments where Hermione gets scared and instinctively grabs Ron's arm. That's literally all it is. It happens twice but Ron only reacts the first time. And one more, in the original timeline, when Buckbeak supposedly dies, Hermione shields her eyes behind Ron's shoulder and wraps her arms around his neck while crying.

Answer: Because he made a foolish mistake, not realizing what Riddle intended to do. He was assuming at the time that it was a hypothetical conversation. Horcruxes were not a secret, and there was no reason not to tell a student about different types of Dark magic, and Riddle already knew much about it. He was seeking additional information.

Question: How come Harry didn't want Buckbeak? I thought he liked Buckbeak?
Answer: He did. But Hagrid loved him more. He was heartbroken when Buckbeak was taken from him in Prisoner Of Azkaban so Harry thought it best for him to go back to Hagrid.
Answer: Harry didn't own Buckbeak or have any decision about what became of him, nor could he have taken care of him. After Sirius Black escaped, he kept Buckbeak hidden at his house, Black Manor. Harry saw Buckbeak when he visited his godfather. If Buckbeak had been returned to Hogwarts, he'd still be executed. Eventually, Buckbeak was secretly reintroduced into the Hogwarts hippogriff herd under the new name of Witherwings.

Question: Why did Fudge wait so long to arrest Hagrid? It sounds to me he didn't care that Hagrid's record was against him and that he only arrested Hagrid so Fudge would look like he knew what he was doing.
Answer: He probably wouldn't have arrested Hagrid, but he was pressured by Lucius Malfoy who could have used his wealth and influence to have Fudge removed from office. Hagrid was a convenient scapegoat to make it look like the Ministry was making progress in the investigation. Of course, Malfoy was orchestrating all this solely to aid Voldemort.

Question: Why did Vortex even want to assassinate the Chinese premiere in the first place?
Answer: The Prime Minister was set to have important talks with Xiang Ping, the Chinese Premier. It is stated in the MI7 briefing scene, by the Prime Minister, that Southeast Asia have begun developing nuclear weapons and they need to convince Xiang Ping to get onside and to try and defuse the situation and improve the relations between the two countries. It is revealed in the scene where Ambrose retrieves the drug from the bank vault, that a man was paying Ambrose 500 million US dollars to assassinate Xiang Ping, presumably to make sure the talks will damage the relations between Britain and China.

Question: Exactly what was the fight with Jay and Mitch about?
Answer: Mitch is upset that his dad doesn't seem to support his getting married. When they talk about Jay's friends not coming to the wedding, Jay makes it seem like Mitch wouldn't want them to come anyways. Mitch sees it as it's actually that Jay doesn't want to invite his friends to his gay son's wedding because he's embarrassed and uncomfortable about having a gay son. Essentially Mitch sees it as if he was marrying a woman, Jay would be willing so spend money on the wedding, host it at the club, and invite all his friends to it.

Question: What happened to Patch?
Answer: He's never seen again after Johnny takes his wheelchair. The church they were in was covered with MI7 agents, so it is plausible that one of them found him whilst the others were chasing Johnny.
18th Oct 2017
Question: When did Patch Quartermain ruin Johnny's life or try to destroy him?
Answer: He didn't. Simon Ambrose, who was the real mole, tricked Johnny English into thinking Patch was a traitor.

Question: Why did Hermione take off one of her shoes after the Yule ball?
Answer: She had been dancing for a long time and her foot hurt, so she took her shoe off to rub her foot.
Answer: Because she had been standing on them for hours and her foot hurt.
Answer: Her foot was hurting. She had her shoes on for a long time. Or maybe Krum stepped on her toes a lot and it hurt.
Answer: It is also possible that her foot cramped up.
Answer: Because she was angry and her leg hurt.

Question: At the start when Katniss sang that song for Prim, how does that calm her down since the reaping is still going to happen?
Answer: Because it's something that is familiar and soothing for Prim. It does not completely wash away all the fears and anxiety, but it helps calm her down a little. It is not only the song, but also Katniss being there and comforting her sister, assuring Prim that her chances are practically zero of being chosen, though that turned out to be wrong.

Question: Did Katniss mean to kill Coin or was it just an accident?
Answer: Katniss killed Coin on purpose. Katniss realised that not only was Coin responsible for the Capitol bombing and Prim's death, but that nothing was going to change with Coin in charge. Coin would use all the same power and tactics that Snow used to stay in power. Plus Coin proposed a "final" Hunger Games with the Capitol's children, even after saying there would be no more Hunger Games. Katniss knew (or at least assumed) that Coin would continue using the Hunger Games to maintain her order, which is what had been happening for the last 75 years.
18th Oct 2017
Question: I don't get why Peeta joined Katniss and the others when they were shooting the propo before Boggs died. Or how he was able to convince the doctors in the hospital to let him go. Can someone please explain that?
Answer: President Coin ordered Peeta to join Katniss' team with the hopes that he would succeed in killing Katniss. Coin felt Katniss was a threat.
18th Oct 2017
Question: Was it really Coin who killed Prim or was Snow lying?
Answer: Coin was ultimately responsible. Coin sent Prim to the Capitol and then had the Capitol bombed. The rebels, led by Coin, used hovercrafts with the Capitol insignia on it to drop the bombs so that the public thought it was the Capitol bombing their children. Coin wanted Katniss to blame Snow for Prim's death to get her full support.

Question: How come Hermione and Harry are confused when Dumbledore lies about not knowing they were rescuing Sirius? Hermione at least should know.
Answer: I don't recall either Harry or Hermione acting confused and Dumbledore never lied to them about knowing they rescued Sirius. He would never directly acknowledge it to them, however, because he could more truthfully tell investigators that he knew nothing about Sirius' escape. It's called "plausible deniability." The less detail he knows about how they accomplished their goal, the less he can be questioned about it.
15th Oct 2017
Question: In a video on youtube called the Hunger Games deleted scenes never before seen part 2, Katniss mentions Prim to Rue and then Rue asks "is she the one who..." but can someone tell me what she was saying before Katniss interrupts her? Also why does Katniss interrupt her so rudely? Finally Katniss mentions something that her and Prim used to do together but what did she say?
Answer: Rue is asking if Prim is the sister that Katniss volunteered to be a tribute for. Katniss interrupts her because she's rather emotional about having had to risk her life to save her sister. Katniss tells Rue that she and Prim would sing a song together, the one that Katniss later sings over Rue's body.
15th Oct 2017
Question: Why did Katniss strike the force field?
Answer: In the book, Haymitch told Katniss how he used the arena's force field to electrocute and kill his opponent. He was at the arena's edge when the other tribute threw a weapon at him. As it hit the force field, Haymitch ducked, avoiding the weapon. The electrical power bounced back, striking and killing his opponent, making Haymitch the victor. In the movie, Peeta was injured when he struck the force field. Katniss knew that shooting the arrow with a wire attached to the electrical tree into the dome would significantly damage it.
15th Oct 2017
Question: Exactly how is Peeta pretending that he and Katniss are having a baby supposed to get them to cancel the games?
Answer: Peeta knows that he and Katniss are Capitol favorites and that their fans have been enthralled by their (fake) romance. By announcing their bogus elopement and a faux pregnancy, he is attempting to win over peoples' sympathy in hope they will demand that the games be halted in order to protect the "unborn child." People generally have more empathy when infants and small children are involved, though his attempt was unsuccessful.
15th Oct 2017
Question: During Katniss' individual assessment, was Peeta the one who painted that picture of Rue? I read that it was but that doesn't explain why Katniss got angry when Plutarch tells her she has 10 minutes to present her chosen skills. Or why she made that dummy about Seneca Crane?
Answer: It was done by Peeta, who was artistically inclined. Peeta knew that seeing it would have an emotional effect on Katniss, making her angry over Rue's death, thus helping her not to be intimidated by the Capitol judges. It was also Peeta's defiant act against the Capitol's cruelty in taking innocent lives. Katniss made the dummy of Seneca Crane as her own defiant statement. Seneca, by stopping Katniss and Peeta from eating the poisoned berries and declaring them both victors in the previous games, saved their lives, but he was later executed for circumventing Snow's orders. Katniss is acknowledging that Seneca saved her and Peeta, losing his life in the process.

Question: What did Katniss' mum do to make Katniss hate her?
Answer: If you're talking about in the beginning and the relationship they had, when Katniss' father died (her mom's husband), her mom became severely depressed and shut down. 11 year old Katniss had to take it upon herself to basically raise her sister and herself at a time she really needed a mother, especially emotionally. Before she goes to the Hunger Games she tells her mother she has to be there for Prim.

Question: Why did they change Shell cottage belonging to Bill and Fleur after they were married as it was in the book to saying in the movie that it belongs to the order? I know that they change certain things in the movies but doesn't it seem a bit pointless to change just a little thing like that?
Answer: Bill Weasley never said Shell Cottage was owned by the Order. He tells Luna Lovegood that Shell Cottage belonged to his aunt but that the Order now uses it as a safe house.

The Opening Night Excitation - S9-E11
Question: Leonard thought Penny would want to join them in seeing the new Star Wars movie but why would he think that? He knows Penny does not like Star Wars at all.
Chosen answer: Probably because part of being in a relationship with someone means sharing their interests, even if you yourself are indifferent, to grow closer together. Penny feels otherwise.

Question: This goes for both the the movies and the books. Why does Karkaroff keep trying to talk to Snape?
Chosen answer: Because both of them are former Death Eaters who have the Dark Mark branded on their arm. Karkaroff's was getting stronger, so he kept trying to talk to Snape to get information if he had any, as he was convinced that Snape was still a Death Eater (as we saw in the book in the trial scene). Karkaroff was terrified of the prospect of returning to Voldemort, as he had betrayed several Death Eaters to the law when he was caught.

Question: Whenever the gang always have dinner together why is it always in Leonard and Sheldon's apartment?
Chosen answer: Out of everyone's apartments, the gang likely eats and hangs out at Leonard and Sheldon's apartment because it has the largest living room space and they would be given the most amount of room to interact in. Raj's apartment and Penny's apartment do not appear to have as much living room space as Leonard and Sheldon's apartment, so they may not want to hang out there, nor would they want to hang out at Howard's place since his mother would be there.
In addition to this, I'm sure that Sheldon has some sort of rule that if they aren't eating at a restaurant, they eat at Sheldon and Leonard's place because it's where Sheldon is most comfortable.
In addition, I think a big part of the reason would be that 3 of the 5 (at first) friends lived in the same building so eating there meant fewer people had to travel. Plus, it was very quickly traditional for Penny to come over to Leonard and Sheldon's apartment to eat so it was natural it stayed that way. And lastly, it's not at Penny's apartment since Penny usually doesn't have money to pay for the food so since Leonard usually brings the food, it's logical everyone goes to his apartment.
This isn't true. In one episode, I can't remember which, the group eats at Raj's place with Priya. Sheldon expresses his displeasure to Amy who explains that Leonard is the nucleus and that where Leonard goes, everyone goes. Sheldon has no such rule about eating there.
Since he states his displeasure it proves he is more comfortable eating at home. He even doesn't like eating at a dinner table in his own apartment, let alone somewhere else entirely. He only compromises if he has no choice.

Question: Is it just me or after Barney says to Abby in the tent that they'll find the egg she starts to sniff like an upset person? If so why was she upset?
Answer: For starters, they lost the egg. And second, her feelings were hurt because Cody said that using your imagination is "kids' stuff."

Question: When Jean says hi to Logan when he returns why does Rogue just look straight at Storm like she's teasing them?
Answer: Logan and Jean have a history- Logan specifically loves Jean and expressed his affections towards her in the past, and Jean feels some love towards him but can't act on it because of her relationship with Scott. As Rogue and Logan are also very close, it seems to be subtly implied that she might be a hint jealous of Logan's affections to Jean. Also, Rogue might feel a tab-bit awkward by their conversation given the circumstances.
Answer: Jean and Logan's romantic affection for one another is a poorly kept secret between the two and is awkward to witness for their friends.

Question: Why was Harry annoyed with Marv cause he took money from the Santa? Stealing is what they do.
Chosen answer: Harry wasn't annoyed because Marv stole from Santa Claus, he was annoyed that Marv was thinking "small", stealing coins that would help them live day-to-day while Harry wanted to plan really big heists that would set them for life.

Question: When they are leaving the shrieking shack, why does Hermione keep looking back?
Chosen answer: She could have been looking at Remus and Pettigrew, who exited from the tunnel behind her, Ron, Harry, and Sirius. She probably also heard Snape making his way through the tunnel shortly after that. He was the last to exit from the Shrieking Shack after being knocked out by Harry's spell.

The Vacation Solution - S5-E16
Question: Why did Penny lie to Leonard by saying Bernadette wants a prenup when it's her dad who wants a prenup, and why is she gossiping about it in the first place?
Chosen answer: She is simplifying the situation. Bernadette may not be the one insisting on the Pren, but she is going to ask Howard to sign one. She's gossiping because she likes to gossip.
7th Sep 2017
Question: I don't get why Bernadette got mad at Howard just because he didn't tell her about a couple of women he used to date. I don't also get why she started getting upset and running to her room just because of what Penny said. Can someone please explain them to me?
Chosen answer: She is upset at Howard not because he didn't tell her, but because he lied to her. He claimed to have told her about all the women he slept with but didn't mention many of them. She is mad at Penny because she thinks Penny betrayed her by setting her up with someone she didn't respect and expected them to fail.

7th Sep 2017
Question: What did Jernigan mean by twenty seconds out when the Stephan's were being robbed? And why did Alex tell the police woman he had the chicken pox the first time he called 911?
Chosen answer: "Twenty seconds out" means that they are approximately twenty seconds away from the house. Alex said it to give a reason as to why he was home and not in school.

Question: When Beaupre thought there was a woman in the Alcott's house, why go back in and kill her? He thought she was in the shower so she couldn't see him, so there was no evidence to give the police about what he looked like.
Answer: It was Jernigan who thought there was a woman in the shower and he couldn't take the risk that if it was a woman, that she would eventually get out and see intruders in the house and call for the police. The only option open to Jernigan would be to kill her so there'd be no witnesses.
No it was Beaupre who thought there was a woman in the house.
I've seen the movie and I can confirm that it was Jernigan who opened the shower curtain because he thought a woman was in the shower.
7th Sep 2017
Question: Exactly who is in charge of the villains? I know it isn't Beaupre but is the man who told them to get the chip or is someone in charge of him?
Chosen answer: They are freelance thieves who are working for a client. They are in charge of themselves.
Answer: The unnamed Terrorist group assigned the Asian guy to procure them a chip for an unstoppable missile. He then hired Beaupre who put his team together. Alice good at intelligence, Jurnigan at Electronics and Surveillance, Unger is a Master of Disguise, Beaupre is the leader of the team as he gives the directives and answers to the Asian guy.
7th Sep 2017
Question: Why does the man who tells Beaupre to get the chip want it in the first place? Also when he said $1000 would he give that much to Beaupre or is it the other way around? Also what did he mean when he said not a plan but the chip itself?
Chosen answer: The man is the head of a terrorist organization. The chip can make it so that missiles are able to be launched undetected. He wants to use it for that purpose.
7th Sep 2017
Question: When Beaupre says "what a brave little boy", was he being sarcastic or did he actually admire everything Alex was doing?
Chosen answer: He admires him for being brave and smart, with a little sarcasm.
Also, it was Alex's mother on the phone, he could've said "Help! The bad guys are in the house." However since he had called the police before, twice, and no-one believed him, he caught them himself.

Question: Why did Mr Mertle invite them into his house? Given how they just made all that noise and took down his fence.
Chosen answer: Because he was a nice guy. He also maybe wanted to talk more about baseball since he probably has no one else. He even says it "Let's talk about this ball".
7th Sep 2017
Question: Why was Mr Mertle a lot more mean in this movie than in the first one?
Answer: In the first movie Benny and company were also making a great deal of noise and Mr. Mertle didn't complain.
Answer: Because it's annoying when you have to hear kids scream and break a window.
7th Sep 2017
Question: At the start Smalls said he was from another state and didn't have a single friend in a thousand miles. Did that mean he never had any friends even before he moved?
Chosen answer: The line implies that Smalls had friends but he lives nowhere near them anymore. If he never had any friends at all before he would have said so.
7th Sep 2017
Question: Why didn't Benny laugh at Smalls at the start like the others right after Smalls said that his life was over? And why did Benny make Smalls come play with them after how he saw he wasn't good at it, even if he did make a whole team when they could get anyone else?
Chosen answer: Benny is more empathetic towards Smalls than the others initially are since, as a game, baseball is meant to be more about having fun than winning or losing. Inviting Smalls to join their ragtag team, even with his poor performance, is Benny's attempt to build Smalls' self-esteem and confidence in himself.

Question: At the end Dumbledore says that Harry's power of love allowed him to escape from Voldemort 4 times but is it not 5 times? when he was a baby, in book 1, book 2, book 4 and this book.
Chosen answer: In book 2 it wasn't love that allowed him to escape.

Question: Why did Remus agree to make Harry his son's godfather? Teddy would nowhere near be safe as long as Voldemort is hunting Harry.
Chosen answer: Remus knew that if he and Tonks were killed, Harry, as godfather, was someone who understood what it was like to have grown up as an orphan. Assuming Harry lived, he was the best person to mentor young Teddy. Teddy was raised by Tonk's mother, Andromeda, but, as godfather, Harry played a significant role in Teddy's life.
7th Sep 2017
Question: Exactly what made Remus go back to Tonks?
Chosen answer: She knew he loved her, but he felt he was too old for her. She convinced him that the age difference didn't matter to her. She loved him as well.
If I remember correctly, he also said (in one of the books) that he was "too sick" and "too poor" to be with her. He was concerned about her dealing with his condition as a werewolf. It caused him to change jobs often and not make much money.

Chosen answer: Because they have a settlement on the other side.
7th Sep 2017
Question: Did Manny think if they cleaned the baby's diaper he would stop crying? What difference would that make?
Chosen answer: Manny is a Mammoth, he doesn't know how to take care of a human baby. He assumed (correctly) that if there is poop in the baby's diaper, the baby would be uncomfortable and cry. Like babies do in real life.

Question: When Hermione says "if we succeed more than one innocent life could be spared" why was she saying it in such a surprised tone?
Chosen answer: Because it was at that moment she understood what Dumbledore had meant when he said earlier that more than one life could be spared - meaning that both Buckbeak and Sirius Black could be saved.

Question: In Buck's first theory scene, when Sid attacks Mummy dinosaur with the broccoli, what is all that green stuff that takes over the picture? Has the dinosaur turned into the broccoli? If so, why did Manny say " where's the dinosaur" if the dinosaur became the broccoli?
Answer: The "green stuff" covering the view of the camera are fragments of the broccoli that were released due to the broccoli being used for hitting, likely representing the dinosaur's transition development of becoming a vegetable. The dinosaur was claimed to have become a vegetable, not that broccoli itself. The broccoli was only used, by Sid, as self-defence, turning the dinosaur into another vegetable.

Question: Perhaps a bit of an odd question but when the pack falls back and Soto asks Diego where the baby is, was he asking because he was angry he couldn't see the baby right there to take it, or was he just wondering where the baby was as he couldn't see it?

The One Where Ross And Rachel Take A Break - S3-E15
Question: Why did Ross and Rachel take a break? I don't mean break up, I mean why did Rachel suggest taking a break?
Chosen answer: Rachel was tired of Ross' constant insecurity over their relationship and his unfounded jealousy over Mark, Rachel's co-worker. Ross was also fed-up because Rachel had become overly obsessed with working, and was not spending enough time with him. When Rachel said she wanted a break, it was in the heat of an argument. The next day she wanted to immediately get back together, only to discover that Ross had slept with the girl from the copy center within hours of their break-up.
Answer: Ross was being an insufferable jealous man. He never actually listened to Rachel when she said she didn't have time to stop for food and wine for their anniversary. Typical selfish baby behavior that was Ross Geller.

The Cushion Saturation - S2-E16
Question: Penny obviously took off her shoes in her first scene but where are they in the whole scene?
Answer: I've gone and looked over the entire episode. The first scene is of Leonard, Sheldon, Howard, Raj and Leslie playing paintball, and Penny is not present in the scene. The next scene is in the cafeteria in the university, and Penny is not present in this scene either. The next scene after that, they are at the apartment and Penny is present, but every time her feet are seen in the frame, she is wearing shoes. There is never a moment in which she does not have her shoes on. She also has her shoes on in every other scene she is present in. Is it possible you were referring to a different episode?

6th Sep 2017
Question: Just before Peter's suit was taken by Tony he said he warned him about the weapons but during that phone call he just lied to Tony and hung up. So when did he warn him about the weapons?
Chosen answer: He told Happy.
6th Sep 2017
Question: Tony says he was the one who called the FBI but then why would they aim their guns at Peter? Tony wouldn't tell them to shoot at his recruit.
Chosen answer: Tony wouldn't tell them anything about Peter because he didn't expect Peter to be there.
26th Aug 2017
Question: Why was Liz so interested when Peter said he doesn't work for Stark anymore? She doesn't consider Peter as that much of a friend. She barely talked to Peter and spent the whole ride on her phone and tried to make Peter give her the corsage and only went with him to the dance cause she didn't have a date.
Chosen answer: She didn't "only go with him because she didn't have a date". She was interested in dating Peter, and knew he was interested in her. She had been waiting for him to finally build up the nerve to talk to her about it. She was interested in Peter leaving the Stark internship because she was genuinely interested. The awkward silence before hand was due to her dad being in the car (as it would be for a shy teenage boy with his date's father present).

Question: Is it true that the actor who plays Flash received death threats after he got the role?
Chosen answer: Actor Tony Revolori, nee Anthony Quinonez, was a controversial choice to play Flash. In the comic books, Flash is a jock of European descent. Mr. Revolori is Guatemalan, and not particularly athletic in appearance. Some comic book fans are notoriously traditional. Often, when the race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation of well known comic book characters are changed for modern portrayals, a segment of the fan base reacts negatively. In an interview with the website CBR.com, the actor stated: "I'm not what the character was in the comic books...and there's still people who will hate that fact. It was very disheartening to receive hate mail and death threats and things like that." There is no mention of the exact nature of the alleged threats, nor how seriously Mr. Revolori took them. There is also no indication of formal police involvement.

Question: Why were the X-men planning to escape in the helicopter instead of the jet they came in? Did they forget that Rogue and Bobby and John were waiting for them?
Chosen answer: The dam was breaking and at any moment they could all be killed. The helicopter was merely the quickest way to escape since they were much closer to it. Presumably they would have contacted Rogue and Bobby as soon as they got in and guided them on how to escape, or tried to go and pick them up.

Question: Why didn't Tai Lung kill Zeng? And when Tai Lung says to Shifu "I have come home, master" why did he call Shifu master? Was it to show that he still had a bit of respect for him after everything he did for Tai Lung?
Chosen answer: He didn't kill Zeng because he wanted Shifu to know he was coming. And he called Shifu master because he was mocking him.

Question: When Harry and Sirius are talking out of the whomping Willow, why was Hermione untying Ron's shoelaces? Was it to ease the pain?
Answer: It didn't look like she was untying his shoe laces to me. It looked more like she was pulling down Ron's sock to get a better look at his wounds.
Chosen answer: She could be untying them because one of his legs is broken and sometimes a broken limb can become swollen.
What does that have to do with Hermione untying the shoelaces?
Answer: I think she took off his shoe to get a better look at his leg. It can be kind of hard for someone to examine a wound if someone is wearing a shoe on their foot.
But she didn't take off his shoe.

Question: Why did Hermione and Harry try to stop Ron from getting Scabbers back? They surely don't want their best friend's pet to go missing? They couldn't have been worried about getting caught since they were so far away?
Chosen answer: For one, students are forbidden to be outside the castle at night and, second, it was believed that Sirius Black was hunting Harry because he wanted to kill him, making it dangerous for Harry to be out. The dementor guards are also roaming the castle grounds, and Dumbledore had warned students that they cannot not distinguish friend from foe. They had already attempted to attack Harry twice. Also, if Harry, Ron, and Hermione were caught being outside, they would also get in trouble for having been at Hagrid's right before Buckbeak's execution. Students would not be allowed to be present at an event like that.

Question: Exactly what was Otto expecting his demonstration to do?
Chosen answer: Essentially he created a nuclear fusion machine to produce energy, more efficiently than anything else on Earth. Currently, nuclear power plants work by nuclear fission, the splitting of atoms to produce energy. Fusion is the combing of atoms to produce energy and is how the Sun (and all stars) works. Which is why Otto says "the power of the sun, in the palm of my hands".
Also. A cool little feature I just realised. If you look at his glasses. Splits the light and dark. Just realised.

Question: Exactly what was that phone call between K and J about when J was playing a video game?
Chosen answer: K was trying to explain to J why he suspended him, but without fully having to explain to him why. Later on in the movie, we find out that Boris killed J's father and that K erased it from J's memory as a child and the reason why he suspended J was because he did not want J to try and continue searching for Boris or it may lead him to finding out the truth. He called J to try and explain why he suspended him the best way he could without having to reveal everything to him.

Question: Did K meet J when he was a boy in the original timeline as well? I mean the one where Boris was arrested?
Chosen answer: Yes, he did. Mentioned earlier in the movie, it was stated something happened to K when he stopped Boris the Animal at Cape Canaveral. This event was when he met J as a child after Boris killed his father and that he erased this from younger J's memory.

Question: Was J lying when he said that Boris kills K at the Apollo launch? If not, how did he know he died there?
Chosen answer: This can be a little confusing, but here goes: Early in the film, Boris escapes from the lunar prison and returns to Earth, confronting both agents K and J and telling Agent K that he's "already dead" (Boris was implying that he was going back to 1969 to kill K at the Apollo launch site, thus preventing K from deploying the ArcNet). When Boris does kill K in 1969, it changes the timeline, so only Agent J can remember K's existence in 2012. When Agent J goes to MIB headquarters the next day, he is baffled that nobody remembers K, and Agent J has to convince Chief Agent O that K was alive just the day prior. It is Chief Agent O who deduces the timeline fracture, and J suddenly understands that Boris killed Agent K in 1969 at the Apollo launch, preventing K from deploying the ArcNet (which necessitates J going back in time to save Agent K). Although J tried to keep all of this a secret from 1969 Agent K, he eventually admits to K that Boris killed K at the Apollo launch.

Question: What is Scott's visor made of?
Chosen answer: Ruby quartz. In the comics and various adaptations, ruby quartz is the only substance that can hold his eye beams at bay. There is a scene in "X-Men: Apocalypse" where Hank gives Scott some glasses made out of ruby quartz, along with an explanation of why they will work.

Question: Spoiler Alert. Why did Toomes lie about not knowing Spider Man's identity in the first post credits scene?
Chosen answer: He may want Spider-Man all to himself for foiling his plans, or he may feel indebted to Spider-Man for saving his life.
Answer: Spider-man had saved his daughter's life and his own; Tooms felt like he owed Peter that much.

Question: How come Ron and Hermione stopped speaking to each other?
Chosen answer: Hermione was angry because Ron never made an effort to pursue her romantically. She was also jealous of and disgusted by Ron's girlfriend, Lavender Brown. Ron, confused by Hermione's behavior toward him and also jealous of her previous relationship with Viktor Krum (who she was still writing to), retaliated by being angry at her.

Question: When Uncle Ben said that Peter's father believed if you could do good things for other people you would have a moral obligation to do those things, what did that mean? I know that it's a reference to "with great power comes great responsibility" but what did the words themselves mean?
Chosen answer: It means exactly what it sounds like: that if you can do good things, you should do them. And you should feel obligated to do them because it's for the greater good. It's not exactly the same message as "with great power comes great responsibility", but it's in the same sort-of ethical ballpark.

Question: When Peter saves the city from changing into Lizards, Connors saved him, but was he trying to save Peter or finish him off for himself given how aggressive he sounded?

Question: Why does the Emperor seem to want Luke to kill him so badly? I get he is trying to turn Luke to the dark side but he can't exactly own Luke if he's dead.
Chosen answer: He's trying to rile Luke up. The Emperor knows Vader will intervene. The Emperor sees the situation as a win-win for him with either Luke being killed by Vader or Luke kills Vader and turns to the Dark Side.
Answer: As Anakin says in ROTS, killing someone is not the "jedi way". By killing the emperor, he is surrendering to his feelings, which is one of the paths to the dark side.

Question: Why is Penny looking so happy when she sees Leonard and Priya in the restaurant and going into the restaurant and looking like she doesn't plan to leave and eats their food? Wouldn't Penny of all people know not to disturb someone during a date?

The Matrimonial Momentum - S9-E1
Question: In the previous episode Amy says she needs time to step back, but did she not think she was overreacting by taking a break just because Sheldon asked if he should start watching The Flash while they were making out?
Chosen answer: Amy said she needed to take some time away from the relationship because she feared that their relationship wasn't going anywhere. They had already been dating for five years and they haven't actually gotten intimate after all this time, and when Sheldon asks if he should start watching The Flash, she was worried that he wasn't giving her as much attention towards her as she would have thought given the years that they had been dating.

Question: After the council decides to not train Anakin and Qui-Gon decided to train Anakin himself why does Obi-Wan look like he was betrayed?
Chosen answer: Obi-Wan didn't feel betrayed, he was dismayed at Qui Gon once again openly defying the word of the council. The two disagree on Anakin and Kenobi feels that were Qui Gon to simply follow the rules, he would have been on the council by now.
21st Jun 2017
Question: I read that Qui-Gon was never offered a seat on the council but why? He seems old enough.
Chosen answer: Obi-Wan implies Qui Gon's idealism and rebellious nature keep him from being offered a seat on the council. Kenobi specifically brings this up when Qui Gon states that he will defy the council and train Anakin himself. Apparently not following orders is somewhat common for Qui Gon.

Question: How exactly is the level of Jedi knight different to padawan learner apart from having a padawan of their own?
Chosen answer: A padawan is an apprentice Jedi. They are still learning and haven't mastered the skills needed to go out on their own. Once a padawan has passed the trials, a series of tests designed to test the Jedi against what they will face in the universe, they can receive a promotion to knight. Knights are able to be sent out on missions alone. Padawans are not.

Question: Since Sheldon had left the room, why didn't Leonard and Priya just hide the pen and lie and say that Leonard had signed the roommate agreement since Sheldon is so gullible?

Answer: In a situation where he wants to get his own way, he turns to the roommate agreement and for this situation would see an empty space.

The Convergence Convergence - S9-E24
Question: Why does Penny not like Sheldon inviting Mary to the wedding given how they hug every time they see each other? Also, what did she like so much about Mary and Alfred sleeping together? Was it because she is very fond of them both?
Chosen answer: Penny's reply was "wait, you're inviting people to our wedding?" Most people don't like when other people invite guests to their wedding. Penny and Leonard were getting remarried so their families could attend this time (and a few friends). Mary, Sheldon's mother, is not family to Penny or Leonard, and while they like her, they wouldn't consider her a close friend. I think Penny liked the idea that Mary was hooking up knowing how it would bother Sheldon, who didn't realise what was happening. And it was funny to her knowing the conflict it could cause since it didn't affect her at all.

Question: Why didn't Lotso just press the button to turn off the incinerator? Also can someone explain why he said where is Andy now?
Chosen answer: Lotso did not turn off the incinerator because Woody and the other toys were a threat to his rule at the daycare. Even though he was kicked out by Baby with the other toys gone he could manipulate and gain his leadership back. He says "where is Andy now" as a taunt to the toys. Woody and the others spend the movie trying to get back to Andy but when they are in trouble Andy is not there for them.

Question: Why does Obi-Wan believe that Anakin (the chosen one) is not ready for an assignment on his own even though he has been his apprentice for the last 10 years? Also, why does Obi-Wan not let Anakin face the trials to become a Jedi Knight even though again he has been his apprentice for the last 10 years?
Chosen answer: Anakin is very talented, but still struggles with anger and emotion. Obi-wan knows this, and knows he's not ready.

Question: Why do Hermione's blue shoes look different in each scene? Like when they are running up the hill just before Buckbeak is executed compared to when Buckbeak chases werewolf Lupin away.
Chosen answer: Either the lighting made the shoes' color appear different, or she was wearing different shoes at different times when the scene was being filmed. One scene is filmed over multiple days, and actors usually have more than one set of a particular costume in case the clothing is damaged, gets dirty, etc. so her wardrobe might have changed slightly throughout and she could have been wearing a different pair of shoes.

Question: Angelina said that two people flew better than Ron at the tryouts so why let him be keeper just because he and Harry are best friends?
Chosen answer: Harry didn't choose Ron because he was his friend. Harry knew Ron had the talent and ability to be a good keeper but lacked confidence in himself to perform well. Harry realised that part of the reason for Ron's low self-esteem was because he came from a poor background and was overshadowed by his talented siblings and also by Harry's fame. Harry wanted to give Ron an opportunity to excel on his own. Also, picking team members isn't only about selecting the most athletically talented, but choosing people who work well together and follow orders. Cormac, who was also trying out as keeper was talented, but he was obnoxious and would have challenged Harry's authority at every turn.
28th May 2017
Question: Why was Quidditch taken out of this movie entirely since it plays an important enough role in the book?
Chosen answer: It wasn't important enough to include it in the film. As the series overall plot line became darker and increasingly complex, adding the Quidditch scenes would only lengthen the movie's overall running time, it is repetitive, and would slow the action. Film makers can not include every detail from a book into a movie script. Characters, plot points, themes, are entirely eliminated, reordered, or incorporated in other ways.

Question: Is it true that in the original version of this that Yoda says the reason Obi-Wan didn't tell Luke the truth about Anakin turning to the dark side is because Yoda wouldn't let him?
Chosen answer: Technically no. While this was never in the original version, there is however a deleted scene where this happens.
There are script drafts where Yoda tells Luke not to judge Obi-Wan too harshly because it was his suggestion to keep Luke in the dark about his father. However, Obi-Wan himself still seems to own his decision, citing the same belief in the film that he was right "from a certain point of view."

The Luminous Fish Effect - S1-E4
Question: Did the gang meet Mary before this episode? Because Leonard knew to call her but it seems like none of them ever met her before.
Chosen answer: It's unlikely that they ever met, which would mean Mary visited. However, the show seems to imply Leonard has had to call her in the past to help out with Sheldon, and he has her number. Plus, Mary seems to be more motherly (then say Beverly) and one can assume she's called Sheldon a number of times to check in on him and it's likely Leonard answered the phone some of those times and spoke to her. Given that Leonard often shares personal stories with the gang, it's also likely he's told the gang something about Mary.

Question: How did Michael know that the car part would fall off if Harry used super super glue?
Chosen answer: The glue would keep the car part on but only for a short time because only glue was used. Harry didn't use tools to put on any bolts or anything to keep it in place so eventually it would fall off from the glue drying up.

Question: Did Obi-Wan know Anakin and Padme are married? Since she thinks Obi-Wan could help them with Anakin seeing with the force that Padme would die giving birth after Anakin broke the Jedi code of getting married. Doesn't it seem that Obi-Wan would not help after what Anakin had done, unless he knew about it?
Chosen answer: Obi Wan didn't know they were married. He only realises Anakin is the father of Padme's child after noticing her emotional response when he asks if she knows where Anakin is. Even though Anakin has broken the Jedi code Padme still thinks Obi Wan might help them because he is their best friend. At worst Anakin would be expelled from the Jedi and the controversy would end Padme's political career but she makes it clear she doesn't care about any of that. Anakin, however does and shoots down the idea.
The fact that they keep the relationship secret baffles me a bit. I mean, they live together in a city. They were obviously shown as close in AOTC.
It makes very little sense, to the point of being absurd. It is portrayed as if Obi-Wan and Anakin are best friends, but Obi-Wan never even asks where Anakin lives when he's not on duty.
It's not like Obi-Wan and Anakin carpool or invite each other to dinner. They are Jedi partners, in service of the Republic and Jedi Order. Even if it were all happening on 1 planet Anakin and Padme could easily keep their marriage a secret, let alone from Jedi who travel from system to system and are extremely busy all the time.
28th Apr 2017
Question: When Anakin said to Padme "don't worry, we have R2 with us" how exactly was that supposed to be comforting?
Chosen answer: It was a joke. They start laughing after he said it. They feel an astrodroid like R2 is pretty useless in most situations.
Answer: It's also a joke for Star Wars fans who know that in every movie, R2 has gotten everyone out of a jam and saves the day. Where would everyone be without R2?

Question: Why did Carmen take off her shoe?
Chosen answer: Because Juni told her that her feet stunk so she wanted to see if it was true.
28th Apr 2017

Answer: Her sock colour is most likely black during that scene as it was when they were in the treehouse.

Question: I have some questions. 1) When exactly did Logan and Charles plan to rescue Caliban? 2) Why does Charles call Logan a disappointment at the start? 3) When does Charles mention Paris? 4) Why did Charles act so strange and treat Logan so coldly when we first see him? 5) What happened to Caliban? 6) What happened in Westchester? And 7) Why does Charles blame himself for whatever happened in Westchester?
Chosen answer: I doubt they planned to rescue Caliban as they didn't know where he was or if he was even alive. Caliban is killed when he sets off two grenades in the van to try and stop Pierce. With all the questions regarding Charles Xavier, he is suffering from dementia, hence the rambling, mood swings and memory loss. Without his medication, the condition can also cause psychic storms like at the silo and the hotel - it is implied that the Westchester incident was such a storm which killed a large number of students at Xavier's school.
6th Apr 2017
Question: If Anakin knew he was going to die then why speed up the process by having Luke take the mask off?
Chosen answer: He said he wanted to see Luke with his own eyes rather than through his mask. He was aware that he was doomed and did not care about what would happen if he took the mask off.
31st Mar 2017
Question: I have 3 questions. 1) How come Obi-Wan lied to Luke by telling him that Darth Vader killed his father? 2) Why didn't Obi-Wan tell Luke that Leia was his sister? And 3) Why does Obi-Wan act like he doesn't know Leia?
Chosen answer: 1) Obi-Wan doesn't view this as being a strict lie. He states in Return of the Jedi that what he said about Vader betraying and murdering Luke's father is technically true, from a certain point of view. He keeps the details hidden to keep Luke from falling to the dark side the same way Anakin did. 2) The identity of Leia was kept secret to protect her from the emperor. Obi-Wan only tells Luke of her identity when Vader begins directly targeting Luke's friends to goad him into a confrontation. By this point there is no reason to keep the secret from Luke. 3) Because he doesn't. Obi-Wan was present at her birth and that's the only contact they've ever had. Leia specifically describes Obi-Wan as someone who once helped her father and nothing more. He knows her secret but he doesn't really know her personally.
Just commenting on your last answer. Leia didn't know that Darth Vader was her father and neither did Luke. However, Obi Wan did fight with Bail Organa, her adopted father so it could make sense either way.

Question: Why does everybody hate the idea in the special edition of Han shooting first?
Chosen answer: Because Han Solo had been established as a cunning, roguish antihero. The scene as it originally played out shows that Han is not afraid to get his hands dirty when facing danger. The altered scene is an awkward attempt to make it seem like Han is acting completely in self defense rather than as an assertive tough-guy, and in the process takes away part of the character's charm. In short it makes Han seem less "cool". It must also be pointed out that the Special Edition changes were met with very strong fan backlash almost unilaterally, Greedo shooting first is just seen by some as a perfect example of why the changes were unnecessary.
Answer: In the original, Greedo doesn't even fire a shot. The film established Han as more ruthless, and the antihero, for killing Greedo in this way. In the special edition, Lucas altered the film so that Greedo fired first (and in a later version both shoot about the same time.) Any changes to original releases is often met with criticism for a number of reasons, especially by adults who watched the film as kids and remember it certain a way. Another example of this is when E.T. was digitally changed so the police were holding walkie-talkies instead of guns and was met with such criticism that even South Park made fun of it. However, ultimately, Greedo shooting first changes the character of Han, who becomes less proactive and more reactive and less of an antihero. And it raises the question of how could Greedo miss at such close range? Given that the film already has stormtroopers with terrible aim, it seems like another cop-out to let the good guys win.

The Wedding - S5-E1
Question: If Felicia doesn't even like Peter as a friend and has never shown any interaction with Mary Jane then why was she at their wedding?
Chosen answer: Felicia and Peter's friendship in this series was depicted as being on-again-off-again. At this point in the series they may have been on good terms. Plus Felicia is a wealthy socialite and Peter and Mary Jane's wedding was a big event due to Wilson Fisk paying for all of it.

Question: How is Scarlet Spider still alive if he was in the crashing Hydra island?
Chosen answer: He simply survived the crash without much explanation of exactly how. However, he hid from everyone after the crash to find out his truth, so everyone just thought he died. (This is common is comics where someone is presumed dead or in a situation "no one could survive" and then later shows up alive and the how isn't explained).

Question: Lupin said 'Your father and Sirius were the cleverest students in the school. Good thing too because an Animagus transformation can go horribly wrong' but how can the transformation go horribly wrong?
Chosen answer: In the same way that the Polyjuice potion can go wrong. Magic when messed with can have disastrous consequences, as shown by Professor Lockhart who ends up in St Mungo's Hospital due to a backfiring charm. If performed incorrectly, an Animagus can splinch and get stuck halfway between a human and animal. When stuck like this, the accidental magic reversal squad will be required to deal with it.

Question: What did Hermione mean by "thought I just saw...never mind"?
Chosen answer: In the pumpkin patch, Hermione turned and glimpsed the "other" Harry and Hermione hiding behind the trees. She either thought she'd imagined it or else she realised that it was her time-traveling self and could not let Harry and Ron know what was going on.
I couldn't see any part of either of them. What part of them was Hermione seeing?
1st Mar 2017
Question: How come John wanted Peter at the wedding?
Chosen answer: Because Peter is one of Mary Jane's closest friends. It would be awkward inviting him but not having him there would no doubt be upsetting to Mary Jane. Inviting Peter is simply the right thing to do.
Question: If Obi Wan is so powerful now that he is one with the force, how come he couldn't help Luke in his fight against Vader?
Chosen answer: It's not known how or in what way Obi Wan is powerful or if that power can be physically extended to the living world. Also, for various reasons, Luke, to fulfill his destiny to be a Jedi, must be the one to confront and defeat Vader, though Obi Wan can still guide him.
There seems to be a common theme (in movies, shows) that a dead person must "move on", and those who are still alive must forge their own path, complete their own journey, etc. This also happens when Dumbledore dies in the Harry Potter series.

Question: Scarlet Spider says 'the last time I had a family, I almost destroyed them. Won't be making that mistake again' but how could he destroy them again? Also, why didn't he come back to S.H.I.E.L.D.?
Chosen answer: Scarlet Spider considers Spider-Man and the team his new family and he won't make the same mistake of getting his new family almost destroyed. He wasn't talking about his last family. SPOILER ALERT: After it is revealed Scarlet Spider worked for Doc Ock as a spy and he unmasks Spider-Man, he goes into hiding. He also attempts to figure out the truth of his origin, which he can't do very well while working for S.H.I.E.L.D., or if they lock him up. However, at the end of Season 4, Scarlet Spider does come back and becomes a S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy teacher.

Question: Why does Storm believe that Jean (who in the comics is her best friend) is gone and will never come back and try to forget her?
Chosen answer: Why wouldn't Storm believe Jean is gone? She saw her (Jean) crushed by a giant wave and consumed by a giant lake. She has no reason to think that Jean will "come back, " and she tries to move on after her best friend's death, as you or anyone else would.

Question: When Logan returns to the mansion, how come Rogue got so excited? she couldn't have known it was him, and also, did she not think that it might upset Bobby that she was really excited to see another man?
Chosen answer: She has a bit of a crush on Logan, and when she heard the motorcycle (which Logan had "borrowed") she assumed it was him. She's a teenager, so she probably wasn't thinking about Bobby's feelings.

Question: Can someone explain to me the friendship between Penny and Amy? I don't quite understand it.
Chosen answer: Penny and Amy became friends simply because their significant others (Leonard and Sheldon, respectively) happened to be friends as well as roommates. While it may have been simply a matter of convenience at first, Penny and Amy genuinely grew to enjoy each other's company as time progressed despite their obvious differences.

Question: When Kylo Ren told Rey that they had the rest of the map that leads to Luke, why didn't she try and get it back when she was escaping, since nobody knew that R2 had the rest of the map?
Chosen answer: It is merely stated the First Order has the other part of the map, not necessarily that it is kept on Starkiller base. Regardless, Rey would have no way of knowing where the data is kept and even if she did it would be pointless since there is no way to know how many people have seen/copied the data.

Question: After Bucky explained about all the other Winter Soldiers, Sam says 'This would have been a lot easier a week ago' but what difference would it have made if it was a week ago?
Chosen answer: Because the U.N. has been preparing to pass the Sokovia Accords and they want to oversee the Avengers. A week earlier, the Avengers would not have had to seek permission to find the other Winter Soldiers (or wait while the oversight committee makes a decision). As a result of the U.N. Sanctions, Captain America and Sam Wilson have to go rogue in order to find the other soldiers. (Their actions of going rogue result in Iron Man and his team in hunting the rogue Avengers down, creating a "civil war").

Question: About 20 minutes into the movie Darth Vader says "I am sure Skywalker is with them" but later the emperor says to him "I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker" and then Vader says "How is that possible" so I am just wondering 2 things: 1) is that part of Vader's plan to overthrow the Emperor? and 2) if the emperor is more powerful than him and Luke, how does he expect Luke to help him overthrow the Emperor? Surely the Emperor could destroy him since the Emperor is more powerful than both Luke and Vader.
Chosen answer: For the special editions George Lucas changed the scene to feature the same actor (Ian McDiarmid) as played the emperor in RotJ and the prequels. He also changed the dialog. In the original version, there is no comment from the emperor about Luke being Anakin's offspring. Instead it is left more vague and he is simply referred to as "the son of Skywalker", as at this point it is not known that Vader is in fact Anakin Skywalker. The change was made to tie the original film to the prequels, but as you point out, it only served to create a plot hole.
Answer: At the time Vader knew Luke was his son but did not tell the Emperor this. He was faking his reaction to make the Emperor feel like he was one step ahead of him.

Question: How come Katniss still wanted to kill Snow after learning it was Coin who released the parachutes and killed all the children including Prim?
Chosen answer: Katniss keeps up the appearance that she wants to be the one to kill Snow so that she can be in a position to kill Coin. She still hates Snow for all he's done, but sees that he's dying anyway. She realises Coin is the greater threat, and will simply rule as Snow did.

Question: Why did Dre's mom make him go to school the day after he arrived into another country that he doesn't even speak the country's language yet? Besides both Dre and Dre's mom have jet lag so they'd probably sleep in even if they both had an alarm clock.
Chosen answer: Dre's mother had him learning the language before the moved, he would have known the language if he wasn't so lazy. Jet lag or not she wanted him in school.

Question: In the Rogue cut of the movie after Rogue and Magneto make it back what is rogue apologising to Kitty for? She hates Kitty. If anything she should be angry at Kitty for being in a relationship with Bobby.
Chosen answer: In the Rogue Cut, Bobby died whilst trying to rescue Rogue. She apologises as she knew that they were in a relationship. Given the war between the mutants and the sentinels, Rogue and Kitty would have set aside their feud.

Question: Did Apocalypse give Magneto new powers in Poland, or just enhance them?
Chosen answer: Neither, actually. Apocalypse merely revealed to Magneto a way in which he could use his powers at their current level. Magneto is simply phenomenally powerful.

Question: What does the potion that Snape made for Lupin actually do? I know it doesn't stop him from being a werewolf forever or stop him from being a werewolf the night of the full moon.
Chosen answer: The potion allows a werewolf to retain their own mind during the transformation period, rendering them harmless. Professor Lupin usually spent the night peacefully sleeping in his office. In the book, before the potion was invented, while Lupin was a Hogwarts student, each full moon he was confined inside the Shrieking Shack. It had been specially used for that purpose.

10th Oct 2016
Question: Why did Harry and Ron bring Lockhart with them to the chamber of secrets? Did they really think he'd be any use? Especially after they found out he was a fraud?
Chosen answer: They couldn't leave him alone after finding out he was a fraud or he would tell the other teachers and lie about them and have them in detention before they would be able to enter the chamber themselves. They were in a hurry to save Ginny so they needed to bring him with them.

Question: Why did Rhino leave his friends for a cure? I thought that he was accepting his transformation. And also he became best friends with Agent Venom so why did he help Doctor Octopus kidnap Agent Venom? Did he not think this would be going to far? Besides didn't he think Otto would betray him once he had done everything Otto needed him to? Why was Rhino also surprised that Otto was hurting Venom? He knows how evil Otto is.

Question: When they are in the hospital wing why did Madame Pomfrey take off Ron's sock? it was his leg that was broken, not his foot. Besides why did Ron need a cast on his leg if Hermione cleaned up all the blood on Ron's leg?
Chosen answer: It was never stated that Ron's leg was broken. Sirius, in his dog form, grabbed him by the lower part and pulled him into the Shrieking Shack, injuring him. Hermione did only minor treatment on Ron's leg until they could get him to the infirmary. Madam Promfrey would naturally remove a dirty sock to more thoroughly treat and clean his wounds.

Question: What did Jameson mean when he said to Hoffman "I'll give you ten percent off. Ah, make it five percent?" What's Hoffman getting a percentage off of?
Chosen answer: Jameson is referring to giving Conway's department store a discount for moving their advertising in the "Daily Bugle" from page 6 to page 7...then page 8, in order to accommodate a story about Spiderman on the front page ("with a decent picture this time!"). He's telling Hoffman to give them a discount to appease the major client. But, in a moment of poking fun at Jameson's cheapskate tendencies, he immediately changes the offer from a discount of 10% to 5%.

Question: Was it Rowley or really one of the kids who told the story of how the kids fell in the ditch?
Chosen answer: As said in the film, it was one of the kindergartners who explained the whole story to their parents. It would seem that Rowley would indeed be too soft and cowardly to do such an irrational thing.

Question: I'm just wondering from the way how Hermione says she has non magic parents, is she ashamed of her parents?
Chosen answer: She was not ashamed of her parents. Because she was raised a Muggle, she was never exposed to the magical world. She feels awkward and out-of-place and at a disadvantage compared to those who were born into magical families. Hermione does not like feeling inferior to others.

Question: I have 3 questions. 1) Did Sirius really care about Harry or was he just using Harry as a chance to have his best friend back? 2) When did Sirius ever treat Harry like Harry's dad if he ever did treat Harry like James? 3) Why did Sirius say Harry only might be able to live with him if Harry was expelled from Hogwarts and then not talk to Harry when he found out he could go back to Hogwarts?
Chosen answer: Sirius truly loved his godson. Sirius didn't specifically treat Harry like he was James but he did see him as something of a substitute. This is better explained in the novels. Sirius was incarcerated in Azkaban as a very young man, resulting in his emotional maturity being stunted and his judgment impaired. He sometimes acted recklessly and treated Harry more like his friend and equal rather than his ward who he should be mentoring and setting good examples. He sometimes unwisely supported or encouraged Harry's acting inappropriately as he and James had done at that age. Sirius never would have shirked his responsibility as godfather and would have made sure Harry always had a home. Harry believed that Sirius, who was lonely and isolated from being in hiding, may have been hoping Harry was expelled so he could live with him and keep him company. Because Sirius was a hunted fugitive, he could not openly talk or visit with Harry once he returned to Hogwarts. That would risk Sirius being captured and also implicate Harry as abetting a convicted criminal (although Sirius was innocent).

Question: In a deleted scene Lockhart gives a quiz in his first class, and after it he mentions Hermione knowing his greatest ambition, Susan Bones smiles at Hermione. Why?
Chosen answer: There is not a particular reason. All the girls had huge crushes on Gilderoy Lockhart. Susan Bones also is taken with Lockhart and she is just enjoying the attention that Hermione is receiving.

Question: Why was Percy still not talking to his family if he (and the ministry) knew Voldemort was back? The ministry also hadn't been taken over yet so nobody could stop him from leaving.
Chosen answer: It's explained a little more in "Order of the Phoenix". The row Percy had with his family (and his father in particular) was about more than Voldemort. It's mentioned in an early chapter of "Phoenix" that over that summer, Percy was promoted at the Ministry, working directly for Cornelius Fudge; as Ron says, Junior Assistant to the Minister is a remarkable position for someone only a year out of school, and their father believed Fudge hired Percy in order to spy on the Weasley family and, through them, Dumbledore. Percy, meanwhile, felt insulted that his father wasn't pleased about it and said, among other things, that Arthur's lack of ambition was the reason for the family's poor economic status. He also felt that his parents' support of Dumbledore was foolish, and as long as they continued to do so, he would not consider himself a member of the family.

Question: I've got two questions about the sentinels. 1) Why didn't Blink ever create portals to another country or maybe space every time the sentinels showed up, instead of just bringing the sentinels a tiny bit further, or is she only able to create a portal to somewhere she can see? 2) Would the sentinels have been able to adapt to Quicksilver's powers fast enough before he could escape from them into another room, or is there another way they could have been fast enough to kill him?
Chosen answer: 1) Blink's powers seem to have a short range, although it does seem to extend beyond just places she can see (she is able to open a portal for Magneto back into the room with Charles but she can't see into the room). 2) It really is impossible to answer this question, as we never see Quicksilver in the future. Presumably he could outrun a sentinel as none are shown to have super speed. However they were shown to use their sheer numbers and a bit of cunning to defeat the X-Men more than once.

Question: Does Harry say Percy's name ever in this book? If not, is this the only book he does this in?
Chosen answer: No, he doesn't. He says Percy's name in the second book "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", when they are on the train ride home.

Question: Why did Fisher tell Johnny about Vortex's secret weapon and the plan to kill the Chinese Premiere? Didn't he at all think he'd be in trouble with the rest of Vortex and his paymasters? Didn't he also think that MI7 would try to stop the plan?
Answer: Fisher was against the idea of killing the Chinese Premier. He was aware of the risk that were would be consequences regarding the other members of Vortex, and told MI7 so they would know about Vortex and try to stop it.

Question: Is it possible to tell what Hermione was doing to Ron in the background when Harry and Sirius are talking after they get out of the whomping willow? I thought she was untying his shoelaces but his laces are still tied so what was she doing?
Chosen answer: She was tending to the bite wound on Ron's leg.
How? She didn't make any difference?
How do you know she didn't make any difference. Hermione was inspecting Ron's leg to see how badly injured it was and then could have performed a spell that would temporarily treat the wound until they got him to the infirmary for more extensive care. In HP and the Half-Blood Prince, Luna Lovegood repaired Harry's broken nose by casting a spell.
Because we just see her looking at it and if she treated it while Sirius and Harry are talking and I missed it, All the blood is still there on the leg.
As you mentioned, you don't see everything she's doing. She could have cast a spell to numb the pain or slow the bleeding, etc. The blood would still be there. She may merely be looking at the wound to see "if" she can do anything before getting him to the infirmary. There's just no way of knowing exactly what she did, but she certainly would not have just ignored it. Anyone in that position would check the wound to see how severe it was and whether they could do anything at the time. Mostly, she's just sitting next to Ron to comfort him, as he's rather excitable.

Answer: Technically Steve was never intended to die in Stranger Things. The Duffer brothers wrote a pilot script for a miniseries called Montauk that would eventually become Stranger Things. In that version of the story Steve is a more overtly villainous character and is killed by a monster. The Steve character was reworked once Stranger Things was created due to Joe Keery's more likeable approach to the character.
