Revealing mistake: When RoboCop is getting into his car after remembering about his former life, and breaking out of the police station, look at the bottom of the screen. You can see that Peter Weller is only wearing half of the RoboCop costume, his right leg comes into shot as he gets into the car. (00:46:40)

Short Circuit 2 (1988)
Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny is spinning the two robbers around, you can tell that he is actually holding dummies. In the close up shots of the robbers, you can see them kicking their legs, but in the wide shots of the room, they are rigid and lifeless.

Short Circuit 2 (1988)
Audio problem: Quite a few scenes in the film appear to have been dubbed over. Most of them are at the start after Ben and Fred have to keep Johnny 5 indoors. The mouth movements don't seem to match up with what is being said. If you look at the mouth's of the actors, there appears to be quite a few strong swearwords in the film, which were probably removed because it's a kids film.

Robocop 2 (1990)
Visible crew/equipment: At the start of the film, RoboCop is in his police car, and it gets hit with a rocket and it flips over, and then slides to a stop. It is quite obvious that RoboCop is not in the front of the car, and that a silver plate has been placed in the driver's seat to make it look like he is.

Robocop 2 (1990)
Continuity mistake: When RoboCop is at the Nuke hideout, he looks around the various artifacts that the gang have stolen. One of them is the skeleton of Elvis in a glass coffin. When we see the coffin from RoboCop's POV, (he is standing to the right of the coffin), there is a picture of the real Elvis to the left of Elvis's skull. When we cut to a wide shot of the room, RoboCop is still standing to the right of the coffin, but the picture beside Elvis's head has moved to the right hand side of Elvis's skull. A guitar which is sitting beside the coffin is pointing inwards during the Robo POV shots, but in the wide shots, is pointing outwards.

Frasier (1993)
Continuity mistake: Martin goes out to a baseball game with a famous writer that Frasier and Niles admire. While he is out, they read one of his books he accidentally left behind. When the author returns, he ends up holding the pages of the book in his hand, whilst standing in front of the fireplace. In one shot he is holding them in his left hand, but when the view cuts to another angle, he has them in his right hand. This occurs just before he goes outside to throw the pages off the balcony. Continuity mistake: Lister and Rimmer's bunk room looks exactly the same in the flashback scenes during this series as it does in the present time. In the first series it looked completely different, so surely the look should have changed slightly for the flashback scenes?

Red Dwarf (1988)
Other mistake: The tax letter and Rimmer's mother's letter are both already opened before Lister takes the letters out. As there is no one else aboard Red Dwarf, the letters would not have been checked by anyone so they should still be sealed. Also, not all of the letters are already open, just the two that Rimmer receives.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny gets scared of Stephanie's dog, he moves backwards and falls off the porch onto the ground below. His actual framework stays in the same position, but the tracks he uses to move around are strangely upside down. Continuity mistake: Just after Stephanie's truck stops on the cliff edge, she gets out and goes to talk to Ben and Newton who were following her in their Nova truck. She goes around the back to talk to Ben, and sees him taking Number 1 out. In the first shot of here her arms are by her sides, but when the view cuts to a different angle, she has her right hang on the side of the van door. (00:45:25)

Short Circuit 2 (1988)
Audio problem: After Johnny escapes into the city, Ben returns home and starts to shout at Fred for letting him get out. Watch Freds mouth closely as he replies, some of the words he says back to Ben have been removed. Judging by his mouth movements, they appear to be swear words he is saying, and as the film is rated as PG, they were probably removed so they would not cause offence.

Short Circuit (1986)
Revealing mistake: Some shots used in the scene where Johnny runs from the Nova helicopter were shot using the small toy version of Johnny. Short Circuit (1986)
Continuity mistake: The scene where Johnny falls off the bridge, opens his parachute and lands in Stephanie's truck is obviously fake. Johnny doesn't move, yet all the backgrounds do - the scene was obviously filmed infront of a blue screen. (00:20:55)
7th Jan 2004
Short Circuit (1986)
Continuity mistake: Just before we see Johnny fall off the bridge we see a shot of him speeding past some roadblocks. Look at the size of Johnny compared to the roadblocks. They are practically bigger then him. This was obviously a small replica robot filmed with the camera on the ground, to give off the impression it was the real thing. (00:20:45)

Gunmen of the Apocalypse - S6-E3
Revealing mistake: At the start of the episode, we see Lister in black and white talking to Loretta. Then we cut back to what's really happening, he is playing on the AR console. Look at the door behind him, you can see Kryten's hand sticking out in the doorway. He is supposed to rush in and start talking, but you can see him waiting off camera to be told when to enter the room.

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
Revealing mistake: When Bond holds Carver against the computer so the big drill will kill him, you can easily see that the computer behind them isn't real. As the drill rips into the 'computer' it's all white inside, just like styrofoam. They probably used it as it gets destroyed easily and would make the drill look really powerful as bits of it flew everywhere.

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
Continuity mistake: When Carver is geting killed by the drill, he magically disappears when the drill hits the computer. He is quite a bit taller then it, but just vanishes as the drill starts to destroy the computer. Probably done to avoid a heavy blooded death scene.

Orgazmo (1997)
Deliberate mistake: The shot of Orbison's house buring at the end is quite obviously fake. You can see that it's made of cardboard and paper, and even the windows burn and curl like normal bits of paper do when set alight.

Robocop 3 (1993)
Trivia: In RoboCop 2, the little league coach has no lines, appears on screen for a few moments, and even gets a listing in the credits at the end of the film. The same actor also appears in RoboCop 3 as the guy who defends the rebel base against Otomo, (he hits him with the metal pole), and even though he has several lines and appears on screen for a fair bit, he gets no listing in the credits for the film.
26th Nov 2003
Robocop 3 (1993)
Continuity mistake: A blatant mistake if there ever was one. The rebel who is guarding the underground base whacks Otomo with a metal pole on the right hand side of his face, yet when he stands up, his mouth is dislocated to the right, instead of the left. How is that possible?
26th Nov 2003
Red Dwarf (1988)
Revealing mistake: In several episodes, but mostly in series 6, we see lots of profile camera shots of just Lister and The Cat at the front of the cockpit in Starbug. Quite a few times you will see Lister mouth The Cat's lines so he knows when to start speaking and what to say.
25th Nov 2003
Robocop 3 (1993)
Revealing mistake: When RoboCop gets his hand cut off by Otomo, he stands up and looks around him. We are given a normal shot of the base, but the screen moves in time with RoboCop's head movements. Surely this shot should have been the 'lined' picture that RoboCop has for his POV shots, and not the normal camera view we were given.
20th Nov 2003
Robocop 3 (1993)
Continuity mistake: When RoboCop gets hit by the grenade launcher outside the church he flies backwards and suffers heavy damage. Yet, later in the film, he sets fire to a huge pile of explosives right beside him, and they have no effect on him whatsoever, even though they do manage to send a rehab several feet in the air and he is nowhere near the explosives. Surely RoboCop should have been damaged slightly or have even moved when the explosives went off.
20th Nov 2003
Robocop 3 (1993)
Continuity mistake: RoboCop storms out of the underground base taking with him his hand attachment, but when he arrives at the police station he has the hand attachment on. A few scenes later he arrives at McDaggetts hotel, and now does not have the hand attachment on, and is back to using his normal gun. Then, when he returns to the underground base, he still is using his normal hand and drops the hand attachment on the ground. So in between all these scenes, where was he keeping his hand and the attachment? He was on foot all the time, and he obviously wasn't carrying them both...
20th Nov 2003
Robocop 3 (1993)
Continuity mistake: When Otomo cuts off RoboCop's hand, RoboCop easily places his attachment in place of it and continues fighting. But his arm needed to be screwed off, and Otomo made a clean cut, so surely there would be bits of metal, plastic and wires that would have needed moving before RoboCop could put his attachment on?

Character mistake: After the crew realise that the matter paddle has made 2 copies of Red Dwarf, Kryten says something along the lines of, "When I threw the machine in reverse...", but it wasn't actually him who threw the machine in reverse, it was Lister. (00:06:55)

Police Academy (1984)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the film, Mahoney is wearing a white shirt with badges on it from the company he works for. When he's being interrogated by Sgt. Reed the shirt remains the same until the last part of the scene. The camera stays on Mahoney and we can see that the badges on the shirt are gone. If you look closely, you will notice that he is even wearing a completely different white shirt, which now looks more scruffy and creased. (00:08:00)

Plot hole: Marie and Nikko show up with a huge police van, and lots of computer equipment. Are we to believe that they stole these items from a busy police station and no-one noticed? South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)

Robocop 3 (1993)
Continuity mistake: Why did RoboCop shoot a hole in the roof of the car at the beginning of the film? Sure it looks flashy and cool, but it is a car, and it has a door. There was nothing stopping him from opening the car door and shooting the Splatterpunks. It actually would have been quicker for him too.

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Other mistake: At the start of the film we see Gloria Chaney, the Hillards' neighbour, drop a rabbit at her feet and then shout 'shoo' at it whilst pushing it with a brush. If she had it in her hands, why didn't she just drop it outside of her garden, instead of at her feet, making her have to push it to get it out of her garden?

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Audio problem: During the final court case scene at the end of the film, Miranda's lawyer turns to her and says, 'Congratulations'. The lawyer's head is turned away from our view slightly, but you can see that she doesn't move her mouth. It does move about a second after 'Congratulations' is said, but it does not move long enough for the lawyer to have actually said 'Congratulations'.

Robocop 2 (1990)
Continuity mistake: When RoboCop is in the street with his new directives, he shouts "Back" at Lewis and puts his hand down to take his gun out. We can see his hand going down beside his leg and then coming up with a gun, but his hand was nowhere near his leg, and even though we hear the leg opening sound effect, the leg never moves. The same sort of mistake happens after RoboCop 2 destroys the Nuke hideout. RoboCop is investigating, and afterwards puts his gun away. The gun goes down to his leg, but the leg never opens, yet the sound effect is played. Sloppy camera work is responsible for both cases, it should have been higher up.

Continuity mistake: When the magic mirror is brought in, we see the chain and hook that it is supposed to go on. Yet after the mirror is hung up, we pan around from the back of the mirror to the front and it appears that the chain has been attached to the back plate of the mirror. Where did the hook go? Robocop 3 (1993)
Continuity mistake: Why are there bullet holes all over McDaggett's van when RoboCop is shooting at him? RoboCop has an advanced tracking system, so he never misses. All of his shots should have hit McDaggett, and only 1 or 2 appear to hit him on his bullet proof helmet.

Robocop 2 (1990)
Continuity mistake: RoboCop overtakes Cain on his motorbike, and we see a shot from inside Cain's van. We can see that both of them are very close to the end of the street, and there are two small buildings on the right side of them. The width of those buildings are all the space that stands between them. RoboCop then builds up speed to about 60mph and charges towards Cain, passing several buildings on his right. There is no way RoboCop could have travelled that fast in that short a space, and there is no way he could have passed more than 2 buildings. (01:02:54)

Continuity mistake: After RoboCop slams into the pole, watch the ground at his feet carefully, you can see that one of his calf pistons have broken off. Just a few moments later when he is on the motorbike, both calf pistons are intact. (01:02:21)

Robocop 2 (1990)
Continuity mistake: When RoboCop is being scraped up against the wall creating a shower of sparks, we cut to views of Cain. In one of these shots of Cain, the background suddenly changes - the wall he's scraping up against is nowhere to be seen and the sparks vanish. In the other shots of Cain, the background is correct. For some reason, a shot was taken from another part in the sequence and added in here, creating an odd continuity gaffe in the background. (01:02:02)
Suggested correction: This is not correct. When they show the interior shots, you can see the red brick wall out of the window.
This correction is untrue. You can find the scene on YouTube (look up the video "Robocop 2 (6/11) Movie Clip - Demolition Ride" and pay attention from about 0:55 - 0:58), and the background is definitely totally different - different type of brick, graffiti is missing, there's no sparks and it's in the distance. The original mistake is correct.

Robocop 3 (1993)
Trivia: RoboCop 3 was released in Japan first to see how the film was taken by the Japanese people as it featured a Japanese firm taking over an American one and Orion feared that the Japanese people might find this racist. This is one of the reasons why the film wasn't released until 1993 worldwide, even though it was made in 1991. Another reason is that in the meantime, Orion went bust and MGM bought Orion and released all of their currently unreleased films.

Robocop 3 (1993)
Trivia: Nancy Allen didn't want to be in the film at all because Peter Weller wasn't in it. She eventually did agree to be in it, but she only wanted a small part. So her character was killed off early, as she requested, and all of the remaining scenes that were written for Anne Lewis were rewritten for a new character, 'Dr. Lazarus'.

Trivia: The abandoned hospital used in RoboCop 2 for Cain's death and brain removal scenes was the former Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, Texas. The building was demolished in 1999, and the property where the hospital was once located was sold off to the U.S Federal Reserve for $23 million.

Trivia: At the start of the film when the gang break into the weapons store we see two of them argue about the cops coming to get them. If you look closely at the gun rack on the far left of the screen you will see a Beretta M93R-AG gun. This is the slightly unmodified version of the Auto-9 gun that RoboCop uses.

Trivia: In 1987, a known criminal who had just committed a robbery ran into a dark cinema to avoid being caught by the police who were chasing him. He became so engrossed in the film on the screen, (RoboCop), he didn't even notice that the police had emptied the cinema. When they stopped the show and turned the lights on he was in such shock, he didn't even resist getting handcuffed and led into custody.

Trivia: Peter Weller had to stand beside a huge fan in-between shots to keep him cool. The temperature in Dallas for the whole shoot was around 35 degrees Celsius, but inside the suit it was near 50 degrees Celsius. Peter lost almost 4lbs of water, in the form of sweat, a day whilst filming.

Trivia: The wife of Kurtwood Smith, (Clarence Boddiker), appears in the film. She is in the scene where Clarence walks towards Dick's office after RoboCop and ED-209 have fought. She plays Barbara, Dick's secretary. (01:17:05)

Robocop (1987)
Trivia: The film's script was turned down by almost every director in America who all thought it was just a mediocre B-movie. When Paul Verhoven first read it, he threw the script across the room in complete disgust. His wife read it all and convinced him to read it again, pointing out some very interesting layers to the story. After re-reading the script he decided to go with it.

Robocop (1987)
Trivia: The car 6000 SUX has a deliberate name. Paul Verhoven thought that having a brand of car, with a name which accurately describes it, would be fun to include as a running joke for the film. He decided to use the word "sucks" but using it as it is, is too obvious. He changed it to "sux" instead. (01:15:45)

Robocop (1987)
Trivia: The very first time Peter Weller put the suit on, it took him 11 and a half hours to get it on fully. The first scene he shot in it was the scene where he walks out of the police building and catches the keys thrown at him. The keys kept bouncing off his rubber hands, and the scene, which only lasts a few seconds on screen, wasn't finished until 2 hours after they started filming it. Orion, annoyed that a whole day's filming was wasted on that one scene, were close to pulling the plug on the whole production.

Robocop (1987)
Trivia: In several scenes, Peter Weller was only wearing half of the RoboCop suit. This is because it was not very comfortable to wear and because some actions are impossible to perform, or just look plain silly whilst wearing it. Scenes include getting into and out of a car and walking up stairs. Walking up stairs makes the legs and buttocks plate wobble, making it look like RoboCop is shaking his behind, which doesn't look very intimidating on film.

Trivia: When RoboCop is in the police research room, he is searching through the computer for Emil's face. If you watch the scene in slow motion, the same 6 or so faces just keep coming up. Most of them are Clarence's gang members, (their faces appear whole each time we see them, and Emil's face appears in whole too at the start). The others are crew members, and Paul Verhoven, the film's director. (00:51:34)

Robocop 3 (1993)
Revealing mistake: When RoboCop storms out of the underground base to the police station, we cut to a scene in the police department. If you watch really closely, nobody actually moves in this scene for about three quarters of a second after the scene starts. People to look out for include the police officer on the far right standing beside a woman in a orange top, (only really noticible in the widescreen version), and the people behind their desks in the background. They are all still or posing, which is amusing to see before they all suddenly come to life. (01:02:14)

Continuity mistake: RoboCop bends down to pick up the map at his feet, and he does so by scooping his hand underneath it and lifting it with his thumb and index finger, as it is lying flat on the ground. Yet when the camera angle changes to show RoboCop correcting his posture, the map is now rolled up and he is holding it in his hand, which is now in a fist position. (01:20:22)

Trivia: At least two of the characters in RoboCop 3 are based on Frank Miller's, (the film's screenwriter), own comic-book creations. 'Otomo' the cyborg samurai, pays homage to his "Ronin" comic about a masterless samurai whose spirit is reanimated with futuristic biotechnology. 'Bertha Washington', CCH Pounder's freedom fighter in the film, is a reference to Martha Washington, the freedom fighter from Miller's "Give Me Liberty."

Continuity mistake: At the start of the film, when we first see Bertha she is being pushed around by a rehab, and she eventually falls to the ground. She then places a small bomb on a crane she lands beside, and the bomb is pointing to the left. When she gets up and moves away, we go back to the bomb at it is now pointing to the right. Whats also interesting to note is the fact that the rehab doesn't notice Bertha take the bomb out or place it on the crane. Surely if you're standing right behind someone who is on the ground, and you are watching their every move, surely them taking an electronic device out and placing it on an object almost infront of them would draw your attention?

Suggested correction: But Cassandra was known to lie if it suited her purpose, she said that Lister would harpoon Arnold through the head and kill him but that's not what really happened either.
Yes, Cassandra lied about Lister shooting Arnold through the head with a harpoon, but that was an attempt to stop Lister from killing her. Mentioning which of the canaries will survive had no impact on any of her plans, so not mentioning Kill Crazy survived is still incorrect on her behalf.
