Judging Amy (1999)

Show generally

Question: There was an episode, where the only thing I remember is an autistic woman in court and it had something to do with having sex or having a baby with her autistic boyfriend. Anyone know what this episode is called?

TRENCH117

Chosen answer: "Thursday's Child" (season 4, episode 2, October 8th, 2002) : The parents of a sexually active mentally disabled 17-year-old (Lynsey Bartilson) come before Amy to request control of their daughter's reproductive rights. [source : TV Guide on-line.].

Michael Albert

Chosen answer: Because this leads to them being attached to someone. A Jedi is supposed to be selfless, put others before themselves, and act on the behalf of maintaining the order and balance of things. A Jedi must be willing to throw themselves in harm's way for the betterment of the galaxy and must act in a way not thinking of him or herself. If a Jedi is married and or has children, they suddenly will have other priorities. He or she may be reluctant to act in a dangerous situation in fear of death, and leaving behind loved ones. Or as is very likely the case, enemies of the Jedi getting a hold of the Jedi's family and using them against them.

Batman Begins (2005)

Question: Can someone please tell me how Chris Nolan was chosen to direct this film? He had only done 3 movies before and they weren't that big, so why did WB trust him with rebooting a series that hadn't had an entry in 7 years?

TRENCH117

Chosen answer: At the time Nolan was just coming off the double-whammy of Memento and Insomnia, both of which, while not huge blockbusters, attracted considerable critical acclaim and did reasonable box office, so his star was very much on the rise. He approached Warner Bros with his proposal for a reboot of the series - they were impressed by his grounded approach to the material and gave him the green light to proceed.

Tailkinker

Chosen answer: It is the theme from the TV show "Ironside" written by Quincy Jones.

Seven (1995)

Question: What happened at the crime scene at the start of the film when Somerset asks the other police officer if the victim had kids? (Before Somerset meets Mills).

TRENCH117

Chosen answer: A woman shot her husband. The other detective on the scene says to Somerset, "he's dead, his wife killed him."

jshy7979

Answer: It doesn't have anything to do with the main plot of the movie. It's intended to show two things. That Somerset is quitting the police force, and that he values humanity and the world around him no matter how much he may want others to think.
