The Middle (2009)

Thanksgiving II - S2-E9

Continuity mistake: Sue says that she "matured" aka got her period, on Sept 21, but in the episode "Forced Family Fun", when they go camping and she gets it, they go before school starts, which is well before the end of September.

The Golden Girls (1985)

Wham, Bam, Thank You, Mammy - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: When Mammy Watkins first hands the letters over to Blanche, the ribbons holding them together are knotted but the knot is on the bottom of the pile, and the strands are quite long. When Blanche reaches for them, the knot is on the top, it is now tied in a bow, and the strands are much shorter and neater.

The Test - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: When Brick is first shown in the garbage can, there is garbage up to the top of it, but when Brick manages to knock it over while still inside, there is much less garbage in the can.

The Middle (2009)

Thanksgiving III - S3-E10

Factual error: Even if the cable was out at the grandparents' house due to them getting rid of it, the TV itself should still turn on. Access or no access to cable does not dictate whether a TV can be turned on or not.

Corner Gas (2004)

Buzz Driver - S5-E7

Other mistake: There is no need for there to be two lists of those who should and shouldn't drive the bus, only a list of those qualified to drive the bus.

Reba (2001)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: The establishing shots of the houses in the series show houses that nowhere match with the interiors and how they are set up. In addition the exterior sets are nowhere the same as how the establishing shots show what the outsides look like.

I Love Lucy (1951)

The Fur Coat - S1-E10

Revealing mistake: When Lucy is cutting up the fake fur coat to scare Ricky, it is clear that the parts that she has to remove are already cut and just loosely sewn in place.

I Love Lucy (1951)

Lucy Wants New Furniture - S2-E28

Deliberate mistake: Lucy and Ethel try and hide the new furniture in the kitchen so Ricky won't find out about it. This in turn forces Lucy to run through the Mertz's apartment to retrieve items from her own kitchen when Ricky wants them. This is supposedly done because the furniture blocks the doorway and is wedged in place thus preventing them from using the door. However it is quite clear that there is a lot of room for the furniture to be pushed into the kitchen and not block the door. They say it is wedged on the sink but there is a lot of room on the other side by the cupboards, along the back wall.

Family Affair - S2-E7

Other mistake: A major plot point is Blanche having hurt her back in her gym class, and it is established that she is having a hard time moving. Indeed when Dorothy rushes to find Rose after hearing her scream, Blanche gets up to follow her but due to her injury she moves quite slowly. However, when Dorothy reaches the door, Blanche is right behind her, even though Dorothy did not help her and Blanche cannot move as fast as Dorothy.

Ellen (1994)

Saint Ellen - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: When Ellen is making calls to solicit donations, one shot has her cradling the phone between her head and shoulder, but in the very next shot she is holding it with her hand.

Ellen (1994)

Show generally

Other mistake: The establishing shots of Buy The Book make it clear that there is an optometrist next to Buy The Book, but in the season three episode premiere Shake Rattle and Rubble, a major plot point is that there is a dry cleaners next to the store, which is not only wrong but impossible.

Ellen (1994)

The Shower Scene - S3-E3

Audio problem: Right at the end after Heather reveals that Ellen taped over the birthing tape with an episode of thirtysomething, someone says "which one" but no one in the crowd moves their lips.

luke f

Pilot - S1-E1

Question: Is it out of character for Sheldon to be willing to donate sperm just for money considering that he has no interest in sex?

luke f

Chosen answer: Sheldon believes himself to be superior to all other humans and therefore his lack of desire for sex is only superseded by his desire to create a superior sub-species of human. This concept is also seen later in the series when he and Amy consider having a baby together to make a super smart child (by invitro of course).

kristenlouise3

Good answer. It also happens when Missy talks to Sheldon and he mentions something about storing eggs and finding the perfect donor.
