Before this, due to the extreme lighting needed, the set was shot at angle that did not reveal that there was no ceiling on the set itself, otherwise it would have had to been shot indoors at a real location, which made for poor lighting that looked unrealistic. Orson Welles used a technique were a piece of thin cloth material was stretched over the top of the set which allowed the stage lighting to shine through, but appeared as a solid ceiling on film, further adding to the many other techniques used in this film to give the viewer a sense of realism.

Money Talks (1997)

Continuity mistake: Just before Frenchie has Franklin thrown from the helicopter, there is a shot of Franklin looking out the helicopter's open door. As they fly by the docks, they are considerably higher than a cruise ship at the dock. This giant ocean liner is about 15 decks (stories) high, but when Franklin jumps to the water, he falls a much shorter distance.

Trivia: Director Oliver Stone chose Woody Harrelson for the role of Mickey based on the fact that Woody's real father was arrested/convicted of murder as a hitman. Stone was quoted as saying "I could see that killer instinct in Woody's eyes, and although it scared me, he was perfect for this role."

Continuity mistake: When David is in the ship at the NASA hanger, just as Dr. Farraday asks him to get out of the ship, the door closes. From outside the ship, the interior is pitch black, but in the very next shot from inside the ship, it is lit up from the front "viewscreen" and various lights on the wall, which should have been visible as the door closed.

Continuity mistake: As David and the ship are leaving the NASA hanger, the straps that are holding the ship down start to break. From the shot outside the ship, you can plainly see the straps hanging on the front off the ship, but from inside the ship looking out the front "viewscreen" you see a clear picture, with no straps obstructing the view.

The Golden Child (1986)

Trivia: The boy who is the Golden Child isn't really a boy at all. The director's cast a young girl named J.L. Reate to play the part. As for the lack of hair, no prosthetics or rubber used here, as they really did shave her head bald.
