Other mistake: When they look at the negatives on the boat there is the typical holes at the top and bottom of the negative. Then they magnify a part within the picture. After they look at the magnified part, but the holes are still there.

Ronnie Bischof

The Orphan Train - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: When the orphan is trying to steal the cigar's from Mr. Bray and has to smoke two of them at the time, in one shot, both of them are only half lit, in the next shot they are burnt down about half an inch. (00:35:50)

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning when Colleen and Becky are talking to the boy, there is a boy walking in the background. When he loses his hat, he is behind the boy talking to the girls. In the next shot he is already behind the two girls, which is quite a great distance to cover in a split-second. (00:06:30)

JAG (1995)

Touchdown - S9-E5

Factual error: When they have to jettison fuel during their final approach to the aircraft carrier, Rabb tells his co-pilot to dump 200 pounds of fuel. That is about 30 Gallons (about two normal car tanks). But there is way too much fuel being dumped to be only 30 gallons.

Ronnie Bischof

JAG (1995)

Touchdown - S9-E5

Continuity mistake: When they try to land the C130 on the aircraft carrier, the co-pilot says that they don't have the right landing gear down, so she goes to the back to instruct one of the passengers how to lower the gear manually. The problem is that they lower the left gear, which was already down.

JAG (1995)

Touchdown - S9-E5

Revealing mistake: When the plane approaches the aircraft carrier, they have to dump fuel, and the fuel comes out through the back. However it should be coming out on the wing tips. So they had a tank of water or something similar that they sprayed out through the back. (Confirmed by a Staff Seargent with the USMC who flew 8 years on a C130.)

Ronnie Bischof

Bad Water - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: When Michaela and Sully appologize to each other at the end of the episode, in the first shot, all of Sully's hair is behind the blue headband. In the next shot, his fringes are not underneath the band anymore. (00:45:30)

JAG (1995)

Touchdown - S9-E5

Factual error: Season 9 Episode 5, "Touchdown": When they approach the aircraft carrier, the copilot says that the number two engine is flaming out. This means there is no more fuel to run that engine. That supposedly also means that there is not enough fuel for a fire alarm lighting up in the cockpit, which is what happens in the show. (Verified by a USMC Staff Sergeant who flew 8 years on a C130).

Ronnie Bischof

JAG (1995)

Touchdown - S9-E5

Factual error: During the approach on the aircraft carrier, they had to put out the gear manually. The copilot shouts that she has three greens (meaning that all gears are down and locked), then she puts the gear lever up. If that is done, the gear would raise again or be in an unsafe position for the landing.

Ronnie Bischof

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman - S1-E1

Factual error: When the woman is giving birth and Dr. Quinn has to perform a c-section, she gives the baby to Mrs. Cooper, and after about a minute, she gives the baby to the mother. Dr. Quinn then leans towards Mrs. Cooper and they smile happily; she doesn't attempt to continue the "surgery". Even nowadays doctors need several minutes to close up again after a c-section, so there is no way that Dr. Quinn was anywhere near finished. Leaving the patient cut open on the bed is pretty irresponsible, something she would never do as she has to prove that she is a good M.D. (00:30:00)

In the first shot he writes the following: 2H+ + H then the camera focuses on his audience and we hear continuing writing, then the camera cuts back to Dubenko when on the wall the following is written: 2H+ -> A. An Intern's Guide to the Galaxy - S11-E5

Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Ray asks if he can go home, we see Sam writing her number of discharged patients on the board in a close up. The camera then cuts back to the whole group and the size and style of Sam's writing changes. Most noticeable that the circle now stretches over the line between Ray and Abby's count whereas before it was in the middle of Abby's column. (00:42:50)

Factual error: When the Scottish scientist calls Hall, he tells him that the freezing temperature of fuel is -150° Fahrenheit. This isn't true, Jet A1, which is the type of fuel in such kind of choppers freezes at -52.6° Fahrenheit. The scientist says that he had to look it up, so he should have the correct figures and as this figure is quite important to estimate the temperature in the eye of the storm, he wouldn't mix it up.

Casino Royale (2006)

Casino Royale mistake picture

Continuity mistake: At the Poker game between Bond and Dimitrios the chips change place during shots. Most noticeable on Dimitrios' small stack (two black chip stacks and one green) in the overhead shots they are on the black line of the table carpet, in the shots from the sides, they are in between two black lines. The same is with Dimitrios' cards and his good luck token. (00:31:50)

S.W.A.T. (2003)

Revealing mistake: When we see the close up of the jet after having landed on the bridge, look closely at the right main landing gear. There is a rope or a chain that slows down and stops, seems to be a device to move the aircraft without having the engines run. (01:34:50)

Prime Suspect - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: When Charlie Epps is writing a quadrillion on the whiteboard, the writing alternates between shots. Most noticably when he first writes it down, there is a significant downward tendency of the 000 groups. In the next shot, they are pretty much horizontal. Also the shapes of the commas alter.

Face/Off (1997)

Deliberate mistake: When they fight in the hangar and Troy is thrown back by the jet engine, his face and other parts of his body should have been burnt quite heavily. Such a jet engine has temperatures higher than 450°C about 5 meters away, and Troy is even closer than that.

The Island (2005)

Continuity mistake: When they are driving behind the truck, a flat piece of metal falls off. Shortly before it hits the car it is "flying" horizontal (20°) however in the next shot, when it hits the car it is suddenly vertical (90°). No time between the two shots for that immense change. (01:18:30)

Continuity mistake: During the premonition when the girl on the chopper shows her boobs, the guy on the left gives the joint to the other one, however in the next shot, he is holding it again.

Continuity mistake: In the treasure vault Riley stands in front of that emerald statue, and on its chest you can see a part which is not covered in dust. Other mistake: When Gates writes down the numbers from the back of the Declaration of Independence he forgets one number. On the document there are the following numbers: 11-6-6, 12-18-7, 14-3-7. Ben however only writes down 11-6-6, 14-3-7 and then keeps on. (01:01:10)

Factual error: In the scene where the Learjet takes off the jet starts to roll. Then there is the shooting with the SWAT team, towards the end of the shooting the pilot pushes the power levers forward to accelerate. Regarding the short take off run they had on the bridge, the pilot would have stayed on the brakes until the engines were at full thrust, then released the brakes, started rolling and wouldn't touch the power levers until after liftoff or in emergency.

7:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: When Jack is at the powerstation he checks his watch. It is 19:12:26, and it takes 1 min 57 seconds until we see the timer (yellow clock), which shows 19:13:47 and not 19:14:23 which it should be as the show is in real time. This is only a mistake if we consider agent Jack Bauer's watch as being accurate, but given how time-critical a lot of his work is, you wouldn't expect him to be casual about the time. (00:12:10)

National Treasure mistake picture

Factual error: In the scene when Ben, Abigail and Riley are on the tower of Independence Hall, they look at the shadow marking the secret place where the glasses are hidden. It is 3:20. The shadow of the cross is in the second third of the pillar. When Ian is on the tower the shadow has already moved to the top of the wall. As the others have left Independence Hall at 3:28 the shadow must have traveled the distance in about 4 minutes. This is far too quickly. (01:12:20)
