A Plaque for Mayberry - S1-E25

Continuity mistake: About 2/5 through the show, Barney comes into the office with a family tree chart. The edge of the paper is on the bottom of the roll sticking out to the left, there's a cut to a different angle and the edge of the paper is on top, not sticking out and still facing to the left. On top, it should be facing to the right.

Laverne & Shirley (1976)

Cruise (1) - S3-E6

Revealing mistake: In the beginning of the show, Shirley is ironing Laverne's clothes and leaves the room. The iron falls on Laverne's clothes on the "L" and burns it, When she picks up the iron, the "L" is on the bottom of the iron facing the normal way when, in fact, it should have been a reverse image.

Frasier (1993)

Legal Tender Love and Care - S8-E6

Other mistake: About 2/3s of the way through the episode, Daphne and her ex-boyfriend are at the courthouse where he is getting married. There is a board in the background with the names of the judges listed on it. The bottom judge's name has the "u" missing in the title Judge.

Frasier (1993)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: The elevator doors in Frasier's building are just a wood looking board with no safety edge sensors on the doors. These are required to detect an object between the doors. Yet, when a character touches the edge of the doors, they open back up.

Happy Days (1974)

White Christmas - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: There is a blizzard on Christmas Eve dumping two feet of snow on Milwaukee. Mrs. Cunningham, LaurieBeth and Al are stuck at the Cunningham's house. Near the beginning of the episode, they show an exterior shot before they go inside the house. The driveway for the house is wet looking but totally clear of snow, with no one there to clean it, and it's still snowing. The hardware store has two feet of snow outside of it.

The Nanny (1993)

The Nuchslep - S1-E4

Other mistake: About 2/3 into the show, Fran carries a box of cookies into Maggie's bedroom. The box's name brand is covered over but Fran says she brought the Mallowmars. However when they show an actual cookie they are eating, you can see it's a Snackwell Devil's Food Cake cookie, not a Mallowmar.

When they walk to the door, it is closed.

The Nanny (1993)

The Hockey Show - S3-E22

Tango & Cash (1989)

Revealing mistake: When Tango and Cash are getting attacked down the laundry chute, they are tied up above a water tank with a guy holding an electric wire. Their hands are tied to dry cloth which is then tied to the cable. Cloth has no conductivity so there is no complete circuit when their feet are lowered into the water so they wouldn't be getting shocked. The reason they wouldn't be getting shocked is actually explained later in the movie just before they slide down the electric wire.

Batman (1966)

Continuity mistake: When Batman and Robin are circling in the Batboat over the submarine with Robin shooting at it inside the circle, the boat is shown circling in the same tight circle while underwater shots of the submarine show it moving forward under the water. The sub's position would have been changing so the Batboat would have had to change position with it.

Show generally

Revealing mistake: On most of the corners of the buildings, you can see seam lines running down between the different sides of the buildings. The bricks on the opposite sides usually don't line up with each other either even though they are supposed to be the same brick.

Mayberry R.F.D. - S8-E30

Revealing mistake: At about 1:15 into the show, as they walk past the train station ticket window, you can see daylight between the wall of the ticket window and the rest of the building, showing it's just a prop building. It's fixed the next time they walk past it.

terry s

Continuity mistake: About 8 minutes into the movie, there is a news rolling display in the background which is rolling from right to left which is normal for the English language. In a close-up of Mrs. Claus, she has an expression on her face and the news scroll is going left to right behind her which doesn't work for the english language.

Pearl Harbor (2001)

Factual error: When the raiders are just over their targets, the pilots of the flights order bombs away and the bombs immediately drop. The problem with this is it's the bombardiers job to decide when to drop the bombs on the target. If the pilot dropped the bombs, you wouldn't need the bombardier or the bomb sight.

Bonanza (1959)

The Medal - S11-E7

Factual error: About half-way through the show, Joe Cartwright states 47 people received The Medal of Honor in the Civil War. In reality there were 1522 recipients of The Medal in the Civil War. While an honor to receive, it wasn't held to quite the same level as in WWI and beyond.

A Black Day for Mayberry - S4-E7

Plot hole: About 2/3 through the show Barney is locked inside the armored car and Gomer puts about a gallon of gas into the gun port onto Barney's shoes. After Gomer is told of his error, Barney stays inside the truck. The fumes would have killed him, not to mention the risk of explosion.

Pearl Harbor (2001)

Continuity mistake: When Doolittle's raiders are first starting to practice short takeoffs, the flaps of the planes aren't extended in close ups but would have to be for takeoff especially short takeoffs. Planes shown taking off have the flaps extended. In the real takeoff from The Hornet, One pilot retracted his flaps because prop wash from previous planes was lifting his plane. He then forgot about it and took off without flaps extended and was only saved by the heavy wind and forward speed of the carrier. There is actual video of the plane nearly hitting the ocean.
