Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: While Jafar is hypnotising the Sultan, the alcove that the throne sits in disappears. The three columns behind them were originally to the right of the throne and the blue and gold tilework next to the throne alcove is also missing.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: The front and reverse shots of the opening of the Cave of Wonders show differences as Aladdin enters. The bottom teeth and most of the upper teeth disappear, the mouth changes shape, the uvula is gone, and the mysterious light has disappeared.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: At the climax, Aladdin sneaks up to the lamp and we see his hand is only an inch away when the metal fruit dish falls. He remains motionless as Jasmine kisses Jafar. But after Jafar sees Aladdin's reflection, Aladdin is much farther from the lamp.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: The Prince Ali parade climbs the staircase to the throne room. Watch this scene in slow motion, or frame-by-frame and you will see that Jafar disappears as the Sultan opens the door. There is no obstacle in front of the door where Jafar is supposedly slammed into the wall, and the doors swing open through the Sultan. Also, Iago suddenly appears crushed on Jafar's shoulder.

Continuity mistake: After the One Jump scene, Aladdin gives his bread to an urchin girl and walks past Abu into the alley. Abu donates his bread as well, but when he rejoines Aladdin he runs through a dark room, not an alley.

Continuity mistake: During the Magic Carpet Ride sequence, Jasmine's flower in her hair disappears when she pats the horse. Also, the horses are ridiculously small compared to Jasmine.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: After Ali is introduced to the Sultan and Jafar, Jafar walks forward. There is a large gold lamp present in every other scene that should be in front of the panel Jafar is in front of; it is missing here.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: As Jafar follows the Scarab, the snakehead staff doesn't appear until he arrives. It disappears again as his horse rears and reappears when he dismounts. A little later it jumps from his right hand to his left while Gazime approaches the cave.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: When Aladdin and Abu are on the path through the treasure in the Cave of Wonders, the Magic Carpet startles Abu. The background changes from heaps of coins to an assortment of shields, boxes, plates, jugs, and armor. They're still standing in the same place.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: When Jafar, disguised as an old man in the dungeon scene, first tells Aladdin of the "Cave of Wonders", to the left of where Aladdin is seated, you can see down a corridor, 20-30 feet deep, to a small set of stairs with an arched door at the top. When the old man puts his face right up to Aladdin's face and says "You've heard of the Golden Rule, haven't you", we look in the same direction as before, however, now a solid block wall has appeared just three stone blocks away from where Aladdin is still seated.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: Jasmine approaches the little boy in the marketplace, he is shown to be very tiny as he tries unsuccessfully to reach over the edge of the apple vendor's stand for an apple. Jasmine says "you must be hungry". The boy's head is now level with the stand, and as he runs away he is much taller, ample height to have snatched the apple in the first place.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: Aladdin is scaling the stairs that lead to the lamp in the "Cave of Wonders". The downshot as Aladdin just begins to climb, shows all of the steps are deeply recessed into the rocks. As Aladdin climbs, a distant silhouette shot shows Aladdin climbing stairs projecting from the rocks. When Aladdin reaches the summit, all steps are recessed except the last five. Once Abu takes the jewel from the idol's hands, the cave begins to collapse. As Aladdin runs down the stairs, all of the steps now project outward substantially from the rocks.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: When the Head Palace Guard grabs Aladdin, after Aladdin's fall through the clothes lines. The guard grabs Aladdin with his right hand, (you may need to slow down or freeze the tape to see this ), but pulls Aladdin to himself with his left hand as Aladdin says, "I'm in trouble".

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie, whenever Aladdin is dressed as the "Street Rat", he wears pants that are very baggy with a crotch below the knees. When Aladdin is prisoner in the dungeon, seated and shackled to the wall, his pants are like modern sweatpants with full legs and a regular crotch. They conveniently become more pants-like when necessary for running, jumping, Etc.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: Sultan and Jasmine are confronting a kneeling Jafar in the Throne Room about having the boy beheaded. The opening is a long shot looking down, The runner rug leading to the Throne is 4-5 feet wide as we see Jafar kneeling on it. Later when the Sultan joints Jasmine's and Jafar's hands, the view shows the participants on a runner that has tripled in width.

Aladdin (1992)

Continuity mistake: The scene that begins with Jasmine in her room brushing her hair after the Magic Carpet Ride. Aladdin walks in and confronts Jafar about trying to have him killed. Two guards seize Jafar. The guards are roughly the same size. The one on the left is about 2-3 inches shorter, but very robust and overweight. After Jafar throws the vial to create clouds of smoke, allowing him to escape, the two guards are now shown holding each other. They release each other to go after Jafar. Now the one on the left is 12-14 inches shorter than the one on the right. He has lost all his upper body bulk, and is barely overweight now.
