Craz

Corrected entry: When Abby and Noel meet Brian in the bar, Abby drops some food on her top which leaves an obvious stain, in the next scene when on the way to his house, the stain has gone from her top completely.

Craz

Correction: I watched the movie after reading this and the stain is still there. It's less obvious because it's dry, but it is there in the following scenes. There are two big, dry, pale orange looking stains.

28 Days Later (2002)

Corrected entry: The film was apparently filmed entirely using a DV cam because of its small budget ($8 million).

Craz

Correction: This was actually done to provide a more realistic feel, instead of the smoothness of a real movie camera. Whether budget entered into it, I know not, but if you watch the making of the film, this is what they say.

Corrected entry: In the library just before Sam goes for the medicine he breaks up a wooden chair to make some snow shoes. In the following scene when entering the ship from the snow these shoes are nowhere to be seen. (01:32:55)

Craz

Correction: There is an obvious time lapse between them walking with the shows on and them entering the ship - wouldn't it make sense that they would take off the snow shoes before going into the ship?

Corrected entry: When the camera zooms out after the Antarctic splits, the crack is far smaller than seen in the previous shot.

Craz

Correction: It's all relative. The crack was perhaps 3 meters wide when Jack jumped it and it increases by another meter or so before the wide shot. In the larger shot, the crack is still about the same size compared to the very tiny humans and their equipment.

The Village (2004)

Corrected entry: In the trailer, a lady says in reference to the red plant being picked how the colour red is not allowed, the close up of her face shows her wearing bright red lipstick.

Craz

Correction: That's the natural color of her lips. If you watch the earlier scenes where they are eating outside, you will notice a man and a little later a little boy with lips just as "red". Besides that, it says "the bad color" not "red", so it may be very close to an exact shade of crimson like the drawings on the stone, the door marks, the flowers all are.

The Fifth Element (1997)

Corrected entry: When Leeloo is first revealed, she is completely naked, then thermal straps are placed over her. In the next shot, she then has a white strappy outfit. When did this outfit ever be put on? Only thermal straps were placed over her, no outfit.

Craz

Correction: The thermal straps became the outfit she was wearing (notice that most of the straps match the placement on the outfit). They just did not show all of the extra straps being added.

28 Days Later (2002)

Corrected entry: 28 days later is a matter a fact a sequel to a film called J"Primate" about how the infection began with the monkeys. When 28 weeks later is released next year, it will actually be a trilogy, though not many people know about the first movie.

Craz

Correction: I can't find any film called Jprimate, or anything relevant called "primate", for that matter. IMDb link or other verification?

28 Days Later (2002)

Correction: Not trivia - almost everything's a bigger hit in the US, due to the vast size difference between the two countries.

Corrected entry: On many occasions throughout the film, distances between characters change in different shots without anyone moving in the scene.

Craz

Correction: Far too vague - needs specific scene examples.

Alien (1979)

Corrected entry: When the ship explodes, you "hear" the explosion. Space is a vacuum therefore you would not hear the explosion.

Craz

Correction: This is a commonly accepted mistake. Almost all sci-fi movies add the sounds of explosions and lasers to enhance the movie, to make it more exciting. If you have space battles without the sounds, it would be boring, even though it would be accurate.

Alien (1979)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film when they come out of their hibernation chambers, they all get up and are walking fine and a couple of characters are clean shaven. Surly if they were in the hibernation thing for many years they would have grown excessively large beards and also would have been very unstable when walking. Just like in real life where astronauts find it difficult to walk on their return to earth.

Craz

Correction: The hibernation chambers, as the name implies, slows down the body's systems to an extremely low ebb - as we see at the beginning of the second film, Ripley, who has been in hibernation for 57 years, doesn't appear to have aged in the slightest. As such, no beard growth would have occurred. With regard to muscle wastage, the crew needs to operate the ship effectively within hours of awakening, which wouldn't be possible if they couldn't stand up. As such, we can assume that the hibernation chambers were capable, in some way, of preventing this from occurring.

Tailkinker

When the crew are in hypersleep they are technically not alive, they are frozen and then monitored by mother because when Kane woke up and asked where they were Brett mentioned that they were going back to the old freezerinos meaning back to hypersleep.

Corrected entry: When Houston asks the space station to confirm that Northern Europe is clear, they look over at Italy and confirm that it's clear. Italy is part of Southern Europe.

Craz

Correction: They say "we're over Europe", not "northern Europe".
