Sliders (1995)

The Weaker Sex - S1-E8

Corrected entry: As there are ten seconds left until the slide, the timer starts beeping. The beeping gets faster as the time counts down but it's one of the only times the timer beeps to signify that the Sliders' time is up.

Coconut

Correction: Quinn says a few times throughout the show that he's always making adjustments to the timer. Obviously, that was one of them. Just because we don't see him fiddling with it doesn't mean that he doesn't, especially after what he said.

Jumanji (1995)

Corrected entry: During the flood, the cop and the woman go up to the door. The cop draws his gun; just then the water rushes out at them. This much water would have probably caused him to lose his grip on the gun, and the last thing he'd be thinking about is putting it back, yet as he's floating down the street, his gun is back in the holster.

Coconut

Correction: We don't see Carl drop the gun; we'll have to assume he held on to it and replaced it in the holster. With everything happening around him, holding onto the gun was probably one of his primary concerns.

BocaDavie

Corrected entry: In many of the shots that were supposed to be really cold, or even fairly cold, the character's breath is not seen.

Coconut

Correction: Seeing breath in the air is caused by humidity in the air, as well as low temperatures, as mentioned in one of the audio commentaries.

Rounders (1998)

Corrected entry: There are several instances of improper poker playing in this movie. 1. When KGB is going to bet 15,000 into Mike early on, he puts one stack of chips out, then reaches for more and announces his bet. This is called a string bet, going back for more without FIRST announcing how much you are putting in. KGB's bet should have only been his first stack. 2. In one of the home games while Mike is trying to win back money, a man says, "I call your 1,500, and bet all-in" or something. He should have said, "I see your 1,500..." By saying "call" he is calling, and therefore can't put any more money in the pot. 3. There are several players who "splash the pot." Putting chips right into the middle, instead of a little in front of you until the betting round is over.

Coconut

Correction: Mike tells KGB to stop splashing the pot, and Teddy says that in his club he will splash the pot if he wants to. Not really a trivia, since they acknowledge it.

Correction: String bet nonsense. Maybe at a full table but playing head up Mike wouldn't call him for that. Teddy wasn't playing games trying to get a read off him, there was no action, and no-one to ref the game.

Matt Lombardo

Corrected entry: The TV show "Family Fakeout" is supposedly lasting days as they film the family. But Ruby and her friend never leave that one bedroom the whole time they are watching.

Coconut

Correction: Family fakeout also has breaks too. It didn't last 24 hours. It was just on everyday. Since this is summer vacation very likely Ruby or Angela (her friend) were staying over so they don't need to get up to go to school. And since there are breaks, including commercials, they can use the breaks to go grab some food or to go to the bathroom.

Corrected entry: After the Japanese businessman was on his phone, he runs to a nearby gate trying to escape the ice storm. He grabs the gate with both hands empty. After he is knocked out by the ice, a closeup shows his phone sliding out of his hand.

Coconut

Correction: He grabs the gate with his left hand above the shot, so we can't be sure it's empty. In other shots he was holding the phone loosely in his palm and thumb, leaving his fingers free to grip.

Armageddon (1998)

Corrected entry: The shuttle makes a far from a smooth landing on the asteroid. It is dinged up quite a bit and even more so while they are there. Columbia burned up because a single piece of ice hit its wing causing the heat shield to malfunction. There is no way this shuttle could have re-entered the earth's atmosphere safely.

Coconut

Correction: These new shuttles (X-71s) are explained as being made of titanium and of being "impenetrable". I suppose that within the absurdity of this movie, a shuttle with an impenetrable skin could perform as shown.
