Question: When Picard is preparing to use the Stargazer to attack the Enterprise, Data states that all its main systems are intact, and that only some minor damage was caused by fires during the earlier battle. If the Stargazer's in such good shape, why did Picard have to abandon it?
Chosen answer:The Stargazer was seriously damaged in the previous battle, which is why she had to be abandoned. When the Ferengi salvaged her, they repaired the damage to the major systems in order to get her functional, but didn't bother with the minor fire damage.
Factual error: Davros comments that, between them, The Daleks are carrying half a megaton of explosives - in other words, roughly twenty-five times more explosive force than the Hiroshima or Nagasaki bombs. An explosion of that size should cause enormous destruction (vaporizing everything within roughly two kilometers), yet when the Doctor detonates them they explode with about as much power as a small stick of dynamite each.
Factual error: An early nuclear warhead would be totally inadequate for destroying an asteroid 10KM in diameter - you'd need a bomb roughly FIFTY THOUSAND times more powerful than the Project Trinity bomb.
Revealing mistake: When Henry Mancini hands his conductor's baton over to the animated Pink Panther in the title sequence, he pushes it straight through the Panther's hand.
Continuity mistake: When Kiv wakes up in Peri's body, (s)he orders Crozier to kill the body Kiv was using before. Crozier responds that it's already dead, but in the previous shot the old body could be seen breathing.
Audio problem: Just before Kenny explodes from eating all of Mr. Broflovski's antacid tablets, we hear Kyle, Stan and Cartman shout out Kenny's name. One problem - Cartman isn't in the room with them. He isn't even on their debate team.(00:10:35)
Revealing mistake: The footage of Kroll eating Harg is obviously reversed, as evidenced by the fact that the smoke from the pipe is heading into it, whereas in every other shot it's flowing out of it.(00:23:00)
Revealing mistake: Right after Davros yells "The Daleks will rule the universe," in Episode 3, one of the Dalek operators accidentally starts to lift the top off his Dalek before the scene ends.(00:17:35)
Continuity mistake: Just before Warsog emerges from the network building for the first time, Mrs. Marsh is shown to be stood next to a couple of random townspeople. In the very next shot Mrs. Cartman, Mrs. Broflovski and a third nondescript have appeared.
Continuity mistake: After completing the third summoning ritual, the Master turns towards the spot where Azal is about to appear. He has his arms lowered and Jo is stood to his left. In the next shot his arms are up, and Jo has moved to being in front of him.
Plot hole: When the Liberator returns to the planet, Travis remarks that their orbit is too far away to use their matter transmitter. Since Travis had only found out that they even HAD a matter transmitter (which the Federation hasn't managed to develop yet) when he spoke to a technician just before that, how would he know what the range was?(00:43:50)
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor and Ian encounter the Frankenstein monster in episode four, you can see a Dalek behind them, even though it's long before The Daleks arrive in this time zone.
Trivia: The episode was intended to prove that Earth-based stories could be produced cheaply and effectively. Ironically, it was the most expensive Doctor Who episode ever produced when made, and remained so for several years.
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor shoots Stor with the De-Mat Gun, the flash starts on Stor's left-hand side, engulfs him, then jumps substantially to the right before whiting out the frame.
Continuity mistake: After the Special Weapons Dalek blows up the gate to Ratcliffe's warehouse, you can see that some of The Daleks were slightly damaged by the explosion. In all the following shots, they have been repaired.
Continuity mistake: After Warsog gives his "statement" to the townspeople, he removes his glasses when telling them to direct their complaints to a nearby wall. Then, as he walks back inside, his glasses are back on his head.(00:15:05)
Trivia: Originally the Time Destructor's core was made out of "Vitaranium." It was changed to "Taranium" after William Hartnell kept calling it "Vitamin."
Continuity mistake: When Doleman is roleplaying with McKern, initially the chains are properly attached to his handcuffs. But when they start talking about spikes, he's holding the chains in his hands.
Character mistake: Near the end of the film, Kirk mentions that he had a brother once, to which Spock appears surprised. Kirk then responds that he was lucky to get him back, referring to Spock's death and rebirth in the second and third films. One problem - Kirk DID have a brother, who died at the end of the original series' first season. Spock doesn't seem like the kind of person to forget about such things, especially as he was nearly killed by the same parasites. Spock's memory may still have been incomplete, although you'd think he'd know such a major detail about his best friend. However, McCoy should definitely remember Kirk's brother, especially seeing as he was the one who pronounced him dead.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau hits Cato with a nunchaku, Cato is holding his pole in the middle. In the next shot, his hands have moved to the bottom of the pole.
Continuity mistake: In the initial robbery at the Kwik-E-Mart, Apu doesn't realise what's going on until the fake Krusty demands the money from him. Yet in the video shown in court, he turns to face the fake Krusty right as Homer screams.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau takes the Bomb into the disguise shop, the fuse has nearly burnt away, but when we see him back in the shop, there are several inches more of the fuse remaining.
Continuity mistake: When the soldier demonstrates the bazooka on a truck, the projectile hits the front of the truck, but the explosion comes from near the back of the truck.
Revealing mistake: When Ursus is giving his speech in the Ape city, many of the Chimpanzees and Orang-utans are wearing incredibly fake-looking masks.(00:17:15 - 00:19:50)
