Continuity mistake: When Ricky is in front of the shop talking to his girlfriend, one moment he has his hands out, the next moment he is holding a cigarette and in the next scene, no cigarette.
Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004)
Directed by: Kevin Rodney Sullivan
Starring: Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Sean Patrick Thomas, Eve
Factual error: When they are reminiscing about the riots of 1968, when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed, they show people looting in front of the barber shop. However, in 1968 Calvin's dad would never have owned a barber shop on Chicago's Southeast side where the movie was filmed, because black people were not allowed in that area near the beach.
Continuity mistake: When Queen Latifah confronts Cedric the Entertainer over his quarrel with her niece, at the end they make peace and Cedric gives her a burger and a nicely bbq'd sausage of some sort. When she walks to the door to exit the patio, she turns around and eats the sausage except it's not the same one that Cedric gave her, but looks more like an uncooked hot dog wiener. (00:48:25)
Customer Muhammed: Terri... what you need is a real man. A Muslim man.

Answer: Calvin did give him a chance to cut hair. That is why Kenard had the chair in the first place. It was the people of the neighborhood who didn't want him to cut their hair, as he is new, and they have no clue if he will be good or not (just as he proved with Alderman Brown). This is the same as Isaac in the first movie. Once he proved himself by giving Jimmy a good haircut, people began choosing him.
