Continuity mistake: In the shot before Josh hands in his preregistration sheet, he is not wearing his cross necklace around his neck. It was in shots prior to that, and is the focal point of the scene with the preregistration sheet. But in the shot where he is just walking, his clothes and all are the same, but no necklace. Continuity mistake: At the airport, when the out of town pastor is getting in the vehicle, the same red haired extra walks out of the airport twice. (00:11:35)
Factual error: During his final debate with Professor Radisson, Josh states that science supports the existence of God. There is no scientific evidence to support the existence of any god from any religion. This line is made all the more dubious given that the film earlier made reference to the works and writings of Richard Dawkins and Stephen Hawking - who are two of the most respected scientists on the planet and neither of whom are theists - as counterpoints to his decidedly unscientific claims in earlier debates.
Josh Wheaton: Only a real risk can test the reality of a belief.
Professor Radisson: If you're looking for an easy grade without much work put into it, now would be your turn to leave.
