Bug: Scream Fortress 2014 - Carnival of Carnage: once the tickets are successfully taken to the top of the Strong Man game, Marasmus will send all players into a team decided bumperkart death match. But also on this map Marasmus will periodically cast one of three spells over all players, one of which is underwater mode. Well it's actually under Jarate, but it's technically still called underwater mode. The system for Marasmus' spells runs independently of the bumperkart system and they sometimes overlap. But the spells are not supposed to affect the bumperkarts. However, if Marasmus happens to be casting a random spell, and that random spell is underwater mode, and is cast at the exact moment everybody is sent to the bumperkart track, a glitch happens where the bumperkart track is underwater mode as well. This causes zero gravity which makes dying almost impossible, and if the bumperkart game happens to be Falling Platforms, then the match will carry on indefinitely until a full team either leaves the server or swims down to the teeth for suicide. It also makes Duck Collection and Bumpercar Soccer extremely difficult to play. In bumperkart games, any Marasmus spells that happen to be cast as the bumperkart match starts (Big Heads, Melee Only, or Underwater) will linger in bumperkart mode without a time limit. Big head does not really effect the bumperkart games, and melee only has no effect at all, but underwater is a total game breaking game changer.

Bug: For the longest time, since they came out with taunting in the game, there has been a glitch where you can move while taunting. A player runs at a ledge and taunts right before they reach the edge. From the player's perspective, the view would switch to third person as it usually does while taunting, but only for a split second before snapping back to first person as the player goes over the edge and they can move unrestricted. And any dialog the character would say while taunting would be cut off. But to any other players watching, it would appear the player's model would continue the taunting animation, but drop off the ledge and be sliding around while taunting. This lead to an exploit as well involving the High Five Taunt that could be held indefinitely, and would throw off the player model's hit box and making it difficult to hit, especially troublesome for snipers. (This glitch has been fixed now as of the update of May 19th, 2014, preparing for the new taunts to be added to prevent exploiting).

Bug: Sometimes when a player wearing an Unusual hat leaves the server, the effect of the Unusual will stay hovering in the air where they last were and will stay there until the server resets. It will only be visible to some players though. For example, a player has on an Unusual hat with the Orbiting Planets effect. They leave the server and another player goes to the spot where they last were and can see just random miniature planets circling around in a spot levitating above the ground at about eye level.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Lag spikes can cause the Spy to automatically undisguise.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Strange Part Fires Survived will still count up a number when any attack triggers a spy's dead ringer fake death, even if the attack was not fire based.

Quantom X

Revealing mistake: Scream Fortress 2014 - Carnival of Carnage: Sometimes if you get killed while using the shrinking spell, and you are standing on a sloped or uneven surface, your body will get party stuck through the ground as it instantly goes back to regular size in death. And this can even cause where all that is sticking up from the ground is your head, as it hangs there.

Other mistake: Scream Fortress 2014 - Carnival of Carnage: When Marasmus casts the Giant Heads spell, if a player, especially one playing a Heavy, is wearing the Monoculous hat. Which is a large eyeball and lid that replaces the character's head. When this spell is cast, you can see the eyeball mask enlarge, but just the lid part, the purple and white of the eye vanishes completely. This allows you to see the character's head inside it and makes it look more like a space helmet. And then the insides of the eye lid are transparent from the insides, like a one way mirror.

Bug: Spy: Occasionally, the Spy’s left hand animation will move faster than it is supposed to while the player is in motion. This can be fixed by recording a demo and quickly stopping it.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If disguised as Sniper, sometimes the Spy will show to have the quiver and arrows on his back even if he is not currently holding the Huntsman or even if the player he is disguised as does not have the Huntsman equipped.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: A very rare glitch, but happens is that a disguised Spy will appear with a decapitated character model.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If leaving the current disguise in third person view, the hat and or misc items of the player that Spy is disguised as will appear on the Spy for a brief moment.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Sometimes, a Spy disguised as a Scout that is holding the Scattergun will show the Scattergun with the handle of the Spy’s revolver instead. A similar glitch happens with the Shortstop.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: In a rare occasion, there is a glitch where when a spy is disguised as an Engineer, the enemy will see the disguised spy still holding a Spy weapon. Like seeing an Engineer holding the Ambassador pistol.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Sometimes a disguised spy will appear to have invisible or transparent weapons when seen by the enemy team. This also includes worn weapons like the Boot Legger or Gunboats.

Quantom X

Bug: Mann Vs Machine/Mannhattan: This is a rare glitch, but sometimes a Samurai Demo will get stuck in the Robot spawn zone at the top where there is a ramp. His feet will be stuck in the down ramp and he will be completely unable to move or be moved. This presents a huge problem as while in the spawn zone, all robots are invulnerable and he will appear to be in a consent state of Ubercharge. The Samurai Demos are enemies that must be destroyed before progression, so one getting stuck means you must reset the wave or the match, as you will be forever stuck otherwise.

Quantom X

Bug: Hell Tower: After a match victory by either team and the teams are sent to hell, if a Explosive Pumpkins spell is used too close to the edge of the lava, sometimes a pumpkin will be suspended party in the air over the edge of the rocks and will look like it is stuck to the side.

Quantom X

Bug: Mann Vs. Machine: Often times if a player is too close to the explosion that happens when the wave is failed (meaning the robots pushed through and dropped the bomb), a player will die and the explosion will cause their ragdoll to get stuck in the ground, usually with just the head or torso protruding up from the ground. This can occasionally happen from other deaths in the MvM matches.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: The Enthusiast's Timepiece watch's cloak meter doesn't accurately measure the amount of cloak available.

Quantom X

Continuity mistake: Spy: Despite them appearing brown in the player model, a BLU Spy will have white cigarettes in his Disguise Kit.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If while disguised, a Spy switches to a different class, some body parts of that class will vanish, like the Pyro's head or the Heavy's hands.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Spy is using Spy-Cicle in Medieval Mode and is ignited, the HUD will still show the knife to enter cooldown mode, the knife can still be used. In some rare cases, it will cause the Spy to have no weapon at all and enter the Civilian pose.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Sometimes if you use your Cloak and Dagger right as the round starts, the Spy will still turn invisible, but without holding up his watch.

Quantom X

Bug: Sometimes there is a glitch with the Contentious Objector. I found this when it was just me and 1 other person on the map. Both have the Contentious Objector out but from the view of one person, both signs have the symbol on them of 1 person. Upon death, the sign drops and still shows the wrong logo, but when the other person switches weapons, it changes back but only from the view point of the other player.

Quantom X

Bug: Heavy: When wearing the Hunger Force, the bullets across the Heavy's back and chest are glitchy. The shirt over laps them and as the heavy walks, the bullets sink in and out of the shirt, the textures overlapping.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Spy is disguised as a Heavy that is wearing the Purity Fist, the Spy will have the robotic arm, but not the Heavy's fist.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: A Disguised Spy can not capture control points. But if the control point is captured by a team mate while the disguised spy is on the control point, the Spy still gets points for the capture.

Quantom X

Bug: Mann Vs Machine: If using the Spy-Cicle as Spy, and you use the sapper on a robot, and then while the sapper is in cooldown, so long as it was your previous weapon, and then you get hit by fire while holding the Spy-Cicle, the fire will be extinguished, but you can still use your Spy-Cicle without it melting.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Spy backstabs an enemy Spy, while the enemy Spy is cloaked with the Spy-Cicle, the enemy Spy will still freeze and his corps will act like an "Iced" corps, but can not be seen by anybody, as it will still be invisible.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Spy wielding the Spy-Cicle is stunned after attempting to backstab a Sniper wearing a Razorback, and then the Spy is hit with fire, the Spy-Cicle will not vanish from the Spy's hand on contact with the fire. But the knife still acts like it melts and gives the Spy fire resistance for 2 seconds, but not more than that despite the knife not vanishing.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: The Spy-Cicle has a frost particle effect that emits from the Spy's hand while he holds it. But sometimes the effect will be around the Spy's feet for some reason.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Backstabbing an enemy as Spy in Mann Vs Machine with the Your Eternal Reward or Wanga Prick will sometimes not disguise the spy as the robot backstabbed.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: A Spy can not carry the Intelligence while disguised. However, if a Spy backstabs an enemy with Your Eternal Reward or Wanga Prick at the exact same time they pick up the intelligence, the spy will be disguised and have the intelligence.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: The achievement Counter Espionage is won by backstabbing a disguised enemy Spy. But backstabbing a disguised spy with the Your Eternal Reward or Wanga Prick will not award this achievement.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Spy wielding a Your Eternal Reward or Wanga Prick backstabs an enemy, who is then Auto-Balanced, the Spy will be disguised as a friendly version of that class instead of disguised as the enemy team.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: While using the Your Eternal Reward, if the Spy is undisguised and backstabs an enemy while in the line of sight of a Sentry Gun, even with the backstab dawning a disguise on the Spy, the Sentry Gun will continue firing at the Spy until out of the line of sight.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If the Spy backstabs the enemy he is currently disguised as with the Your Eternal Reward while that enemy is holding their melee weapon, the disguises feed will sometimes change the word of the enemy's melee weapon to Your Eternal Reward.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Like the Spy-Cicle, the Your Eternal Reward and Wanga Prick allow for a silent kill on backstabs, and don't show the enemy's death in the killfeed to the enemy team. But if a Spy backstabs an Engineer while he is hauling a building, the killfeed still shows the enemy team the destruction of the building.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: Having the Your Eternal Reward equipped will disable the Spy's Disguise Kit. But if the Spy is Auto-Balanced or Team Switched not by choice, it will temporarily allow the Spy to have both the Your Eternal Reward and the Disguise Kit enabled at the same time. This will be fixed upon death or touching a resupply locker.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If the Spy has the Your Eternal Reward equipped and is killed, and switches back to default Knife before respawning, respawning might not be possible unless switching to a different class and then back to Spy.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: When changing the style of the Black Rose knife, the preview for the weapon will display slightly outside its borders.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: When doing a frontal thrust stab with the Spy default knife, a stray polygon can be seen coming out of the Spy's wrist.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If the Minimal HUD advanced option is turned on, the Diamondback's crit shot counter will over lap the Spy's cloak meter display.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: After sapping a building while the Spy has the Diamondback equipped, the Spy gets a guaranteed critical shot. However, the crit shot counter will not show the correct value of crit shots awarded until the gun is fired once, which will set it to the correct value.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Medic uses the Kritzkrieg charge on a Spy wielding the Diamondback, the effects of the Diamondback awarding crit shots on back stabs or buildings sapped will be disabled, even after the Kritzcharge has worn off, and will stay that way until the Spy respawns.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: If a Spy performs backstabs with a different Revolver equipped, the crits will be retroactively awarded as soon as the Spy switches to the Diamondback.

Quantom X

Bug: Spy: The Diamond Back has the ability to award crit shots for each backstab or building sapped by the Spy. However, a bug exists where even if backstabbing someone who is invulnerable, like ubercharged or under the influence of Atomic Bonk, will still award a crit shot despite not killing the person stabbed.

Quantom X

Revealing mistake: Spy: Except for the default Revolver and Enforcer, the Spy doesn't actually put any bullets in his gun when reloading any of his pistols.

Quantom X

Bug: Heavy: If you equip the Fist of Steel and then put it in Third Person view, you can see the Heavy's fingers party sticking out of the steel gloves.

Quantom X

Bug: Any strange primary weapon for the Pyro can have the Strange Part: Underwater Kills added to it. However, the primary weapons for Pyro do not work under water, and any player ignited by the flamethrowers are instantly extinguished the moment they land in water, making it impossible to get any underwater kills with these weapons.

Quantom X

Bug: The Strange Part: Posthumous Kills can not be applied to the Heavy's Huo-Long Heater. However the rings of fire emitted from this weapon when in use can cause posthumous damage and deaths.

Quantom X

Bug: The Strange Part: Damage Dealt can be applied to the strange Demoman shields, Charge N Targe, and Splendid Screen. However, the part does not work on them and will not count any damage dealt by charge bashing enemies with the shields.

Quantom X

Bug: Scout/Engineer: The misc for the scout called Ball-Kicking Boots spawns a team colored soccer ball with the player that can be kicked around the field similarly to the TF2 birthday beach ball. This can not be destroyed by most things. However, the Short Circuit weapon for Engineer can destroy this as if it were a projectile.

Quantom X

Bug: So far, I have only found this glitch in Dust Bowl on the second capture point in stage 2. On the Red Team side, exiting the starting room, you see a folding down garage door that is always shut. Sometimes, it will be off set. The door is not connected right, and actually sticks out into to the walk way. Players can walk through it, and can't go in the door though due to an invisible wall.

Quantom X

Bug: Mann Vs. Machine: I have found that sometimes, when the wave is failed and the Machines successfully drop the bomb into Mann Co. a glitch happens that I have discovered with The Heavy. After a wave has failed, the Mann Co. Defenders team does the loser position where you can run around with hands in the air. But sometimes the Heavy will be completely invisible to the person playing him. Not sure what causes this, and so far only discovered with The Heavy.

Quantom X

Bug: Engineer: A glitch that often happens for unknown reasons, the hand or hands of the Engineer will disappear during gameplay from that player's perspective. All you can see is the weapon or wrench in his hands floating in the air.

Quantom X

Character mistake: Spy: The Spy is French in origin in this game, being a secret agent from some French agency supposedly. And thus voice actor playing him, Dennis Bateman speaks his lines with a French accent. However, when the Spy says lines in the game in his native French language, Dennis' English accent is heard through the French dialog.

Bug: Players are able to customize a tag which they can spray on most locations on the map. After a tag is sprayed, any player who looks at it gets a red text display saying SPRAYED BY and then says the person's name. If the player that sprayed the tag, then leaves the match, their tag will disappear. However, if any player looks at the spot where the tag was, they still get the text pop up saying there's a tag there and who it's sprayed by, only there's no tag.
