Continuity mistake: During the "Why Should I Worry" song, Dodger goes with his "scarf" of sausages through a basin full of wet cement. Logically the cement should be stuck on the sausages, though that does not appear to happen, even though the sausages went through the cement. There is cement on his paws, though, that he needs to wash off.

Continuity mistake: The dog called 'Tito' has a piece missing from one ear - the piece missing changes from one ear to the other.

Continuity mistake: In the "Why should I worry?" song scene, the red scarf on Dodger's neck appears and disappears between shots, for instance, it is not shown when he is on top of the woman's car nor after but when he scares the woman it is visible on his neck.

Continuity mistake: As the movie begins, on the sidewalk in front of a store there is a box filled with kittens and a sign reading "Kitties - need home." The words "need home" are in all capital letters. In the close-up, only the "N" is capitalized and the rest of the words are in small letters.

Continuity mistake: After being pet by Sykes, Oliver jumps out of his hands and over to Fagin and Dodger. But watch as a couple of dog treats instantly appear in Sykes' left hand, which he tosses over to Roscoe and DeSoto.

Continuity mistake: During the song 'Perfect Isn't Easy', when Georgette is going to her big pillow by all the pictures, there is a pink little pillow near it with nothing on it. Next shot there is another picture that she picks up that is on the pillow.

Continuity mistake: During Jenny and Oliver's day in the park, they enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride. In one instance the carriage has wheels of similar height, but then one shot later the front wheels are half as large all of a sudden.

Plot hole: When Sykes chases the gang down the subway, Fagin has to lurch to the left to end up on the subway tracks. However, Sykes couldn't do this because his car is to big to fit. Instead, his car jumps onto the subway tracks as if he were on a platform that separated the tracks, which subway tracks most certainly do not have.

Continuity mistake: When Jenny and Winston arrive at the house with Oliver, Winston hangs his hat from a hook. Between shots, the hat jumps to a different hook.

Initially the window is one space away, but this soon changes to two spaces when Winston removes his hat and coat in the following shot.

Continuity mistake: When Fagin first meets Jenny, a pail gets jammed on his right foot. However a short time later when Sykes shows up, the pail has switched feet. And at one point in the scene where Jenny reveals the piggy bank, Fagin has no pail on his foot whatsoever.

Continuity mistake: In Fagin's houseboat where Dodger gives Oliver a choice of staying or going back to Jenny, Oliver approaches the staircase. A dirty rag can be seen hanging below the third step, but a couple of shots later the rag has vanished.

Continuity mistake: When sitting down in the recliner, Fagin notices Oliver's new 5th Avenue license and grabs onto it with his left thumb and index finger. But in the next shot, Fagin has the license in the palm of his hand instead.

Audio problem: When Fagin is on the shipyard dock getting ready to tell Sykes his debt repayment plan, he walks over to the door and reaches for an intercom buzzer. Fagin never actually presses a button, but somehow the buzzer goes off right before Sykes is heard on the loudspeaker. Instead, he simply touches a random spot on the door and a buzzer sounds in response.

Continuity mistake: As Francis is standing atop a stack of teetering boxes just outside of Sykes' shipyard office, both front paws are at his side when he starts saying "Farewell, Dulcinea" with a dramatic tone of voice. But in the next shot his left paw is suddenly lifted high into the air.

Continuity mistake: Outside of the pawn shop where the strays wait for Fagin, Einstein and Rita are seated on the sidewalk. But once Dodger and Tito run onscreen in the following shot, they're suddenly standing up instead.

Continuity mistake: The number of steps on Georgette's dog bed staircase changes from time to time, depending on the shot. When Georgette is introduced, there are nine steps initially, but eleven steps appear instead as she descends to make herself up in the following shot. And later on when all of the strays trick Winston into thinking nobody is in the room, the staircase has eight steps.

Continuity mistake: After Fagin kicks off his waterlogged shoes and sits down in the recliner, Tito slides a pair of rabbit slippers over the wet socks on his feet. In subsequent shots, however, Fagin wears no socks. But then at one point he can be seen with the wet socks on his feet again all of a sudden.

Continuity mistake: During "Why Should I Worry", a pair of sunglasses lands on Dodger's head. In this shot we can see a woman walking her two dogs near the intersection. But watch as a green car appears from nowhere between shots, suddenly parked in the background right behind the dogs.

Both of the doors are in an obvious state of disrepair, with hinges barely attached to the frame. But two shots later, the doors have somehow fixed themselves.

Continuity mistake: When Fagin is riding his trike through downtown New York with the strays in search of items to help pay off Sykes, Dodger can be seen in the cart with both front paws at his side. But in the following shot his paws are suddenly hanging over the cart's edge.

Here we can see how the limo has a pair of windows on either side, but instead three windows are visible from the interior one shot later where Jenny reads a letter from her parents. Continuity mistake: While talking to Sykes on the pier, Fagin falls into the water. As he walks back inside, water is dripping from his hair and clothes. He then sits in a chair, but there is no water on the floor where he has walked.

Other mistake: Immediately after Fagin deposits Oliver and the dogs on the sidewalk, Oliver has no shadow. Then, a few scenes later, neither Oliver nor Tito have a shadow.
